J'aime Events - Full Service to Day of Coordination

As a planner myself, I was looking for another planner to help me when I needed up needing someone to step in for our clients weddings. Jaime did so with so much knowledge, kindness, and expertise. I gave her the tools, timeline, and layouts and she attended the final walkthrough and wedding day. She was able to maintain the timeline, connect with vendors, and maintain excellent service to our clients. If you're looking for a planning team, give Jaime a call! She is incredibly talented!!

As a wedding assistant who has had the opportunity of working alongside Jaime at J'aime Events , I cannot recommend her enough. Her expertise, dedication, and exceptional organizational skills have truly set the standard for what a top-tier wedding planner should be. The wedding flow was nothing short of perfection. We were planning a wedding from out of town and were looking for a wedding planner local to the Minneapolis area. We hired Jaime because of the great reviews she has online and what appeared to be her great experience working with vendors in the Minneapolis area. We did not get the experience that we were expecting. Without going into too much detail, we were frustrated with her lack of initiative, attention to detail, and professionalism throughout and leading up to the wedding weekend. We don’t typically like writing negative reviews, and this is the only negative review we are writing across all of our vendors. We want to ensure that our experience is heard so that other couples going through this stressful and exciting time in their lives don’t have the same experience that we had.

We had an amazing wedding thanks to Jaime! Our wedding was in Minnesota and we were planning from a distance which brings a whole list of challenges. We hired Jaime to help with keeping us on track throughout the process, as well as to utilize some of her local contacts and most of all to have her keeping everything in line on the day of the wedding. While I will say many of the venders on the list are not the lowest cost; if you do decide to use them, they are top notch quality. Otherwise, the wedding day and planning went smoothly thanks to her!

Jamie was such a joy to work with! She was efficient, thorough and really helped carry the day off without a hitch. I was a vendor of this wedding and so our communication was integral and she was a great help. Definitely recommend!

I hired Jaime for my daughter’s wedding in June, 2022 (Wedding Day Management Package). She was recommended by the planner I used in a prior wedding who was no longer in the business and had used Jaime for her own wedding. Jaime was very diligent and detail oriented, which allowed us to have productive calls with her. She brought up ideas and issues that we had not thought about and had great suggestions. She ran a terrific rehearsal the day before the wedding, and I think everyone felt more confident about the ceremony. The best part was the actual wedding day! She made sure items needed for the ceremony, greeters, and other areas were set up (and later collected them). She took over small things that I otherwise would have had to deal with. She averted a few small problems. She moved flowers that were used during the ceremony to the head table as we planned. room. She kept watch and made sure were on schedule. The wedding went as we had envisioned it! We enjoyed working with Jaime and I recommend her.

We hired Jaime for her partial planning package, so we could get help with figuring out some of our wedding details and have day-of coordination. It was so helpful to have a resource available throughout the process who knew so much about weddings. Jaime gave us so many hints and tricks that we never would have thought of without her. There were some aspects of wedding planning that my husband and I didn't care much about - for example, table settings/decor - and Jaime was able to work directly with our florist to do a lot of the work on those details. On the day of, she helped coordinate with all the vendors to make sure they had all the info they would need, made sure everyone knew the timeline, etc. She put out fires before we even knew they had happened!

Hiring Jaime was the best decision we made for our wedding! I am an organized person and a good planner, but I quickly learned that planning a wedding is much more than that! Jaime helped us with emails, vendor relations, decor, day-of-timeline, not to mention fielding and answering every question on the day-of. We enjoyed our day worry-free! In addition to her exceptional skills, she is incredibly easy to work with and responded quickly to all of our questions. I truly credit Jaime with making the day turn out exactly how we imagined. I cannot recommend her services enough.

Working with Jaime Engebretson of J'aime Events was a delight, and a real help. I recently officiated at a wedding for my first time, and Jaime was there to help for every step. She encouraged this couple to have a rehearsal, where she proceeded to walk us through the entire process. Such a comfort to know what’s happening, and to be able to walk through the various steps the day before. This brought comfort to me, so that I knew what to expect. And, I knew that she had my back if I forgot anything. She is an easy person to work with: friendly, in-charge and always kept us on schedule and relaxed. A great wedding planner to have on your team! She listened to our questions. She paid close attention to the couple and to the friends and family helping. Good communicator. Amazing experience! Our wedding day was perfect, and I couldn’t imagine not having Jaime there. She is great at coordinating and putting everything together. I didn’t have to think or stress about anything – my only job was to enjoy the day and have fun!

As a mother of the groom, it was so nice knowing that Jaime had a detailed itinerary, the details were being managed, and we didn't have to worry about any of it. On the morning of the wedding, there was a problem with a vendor that Jaime was able to get resolved and it saved the bride, groom, and parents from having to get involved. I was able to enjoy the details of the day knowing that Jaime was on top of it! If you are debating whether or not to hire a wedding coordinator for the day of the wedding, I would highly recommend!

Jaime was excellent to work with - she had helpful, moneysaving, gorgeous ideas, very patient, never flustered, was so helpful in planning a wedding where the bride/groom live outstate and handled all the details and last minute urgent details that came up during the day of the wedding.

Jaime did an excellent job as our day-of coordinator. I heard from multiple people that our wedding was the most organized one they'd been a part of. The schedule she helped us put together was comprehensive and her advice was super helpful. She put out several fires day-of and was a big help decorating the space. Prior to the wedding, she was always prompt answering our emails and addressing questions we had, especially in the midst of postponing our wedding due to COVID. Best Decision Ever! Jaime was a huge help with our wedding. We thought we could do everything ourselves and quickly became overwhelmed with all the details! I found Jaime online, and after our initial meeting we were ready to hire her! She kept me focused with updates, made sure I was making thoughtful choices, and kept me on track with planning! Any questions we had, she had answers and multiple options. She was professional, flexible, and responded quickly, which was super important to us. We loved having her help bring our day together, and would hire her again if we have another event!

Jaime really helped us get our wedding in order. We planned our wedding from out of state and it wasn’t stressful at all! The day of our wedding, she her twins were born so she wasn’t able to attend our wedding however, she made sure everything was squared away and hired 2 people to take her place for the day of (and rehearsal day) and they did an excellent job! The whole day I didn’t have to worry about a single thing, it was amazing!

Jaime is amazing at what she does! She is everything you could want in a wedding planner, plus some! She helped my husband and I put together the most wonderful wedding day. Jaime made my day-of-coordination and planning during our last couple of months so seamless & worry-free. She was immensely helpful with timeline creation (which was my biggest fear, having no experience with any events in the past!). She also gave us some suggestions for final vendors (like transportation). She helped me coordinate all of the vendors I had hired, ran our rehearsal respectfully but keeping control of the room, and she answered questions from every angle. We got to enjoy every minute of our wedding day and it felt so smooth - I suspect Jaime had a lot to do with it! I would recommend her to anyone!!!

Jaime was the day of coordinator for my daughter's wedding in March. As mother of the bride she made planning for the wedding day easy for both my daughter and myself. As a bridesmaid, I was able to experience the day of coordination Jaime provided for my friends' wedding from a different perspective. I did not have any business related ties or knew of any contract details but was able to see the invaluable role she played on the wedding day. From the moment Jaime arrived she took action in making sure the bride was taken care of and everyone in the wedding party was where they were supposed to be. We had an extremely large group of 16 plus people. We as a group can be very difficult to keep in line and Jaime did an excellent job! I saw her checking in with vendors, answering questions, fixing garments, adjusting decor correctly according to the detailed plan laid out in front of her, and checking her lists over to make sure everything was exactly the way it should be. Jaime noticed mistakes and fixed them without the bride even noticing. The bride, who normally takes on all the planning and stress of the details, was able to trust Jaime to take over while she enjoyed her day. Jaime was professional, respectful, and diligent the entire time. The wedding was elegant, beautiful, and perfect. I have no doubt that Jaime was a big part in making the day as successful and beautiful as it was for both the bride and groom. Thank you Jaime!!

Jaime was incredible. We felt very confident having her in charge of our day of coordination. We meet several times before our big day, and we felt she knew our vision and the specifics for our day. Jaime was absolutely amazing!!! We got married at the Earle Brown Center in Minneapolis with a guest count around 280. I'm very happy we hired Jaime to be our day coordinator. She met up with me quite a few times prior to our wedding date to go over every detail for our big day. She even met us at our venue to help with details and ideas. She has a lot of insight on decorations and was very helpful in sending me ideas when I needed it! Originally we weren't thinking of having a wedding planner, but we thought it would be best to lessen the stress of the planning. We are soo happy we went with Jaime. We had an awesome experience with J’aime Events. Jaime did our Day-of-Coordination and it allowed my mom and dad to just enjoy their night with my wedding guests! They showed up about 30 minutes before the reception started just to check in and help with final set up, and Jaime had everything ready to go! She kept me on schedule when I was socializing to make sure I saved time for a few things I really wanted to do (cake cutting with photos & golden hour photos outside). She even got me a glass of wine right when I walked in the door to the reception! As a type A planner, it was a little hard for me to just hand over all of my hard work and planning for the biggest event of my life so far, but I was completely confident that Jaime would handle it better than I could that day, and she really did! We will definitely be booking with her for a future event (my sister’s wedding) and will refer her to friends and family because her organization just made everything run so smoothly and allowed us to just enjoy the day!

Jaime did a great job as our day of coordinator! We also had 4 hours of meetings with her before the wedding and she made sure we were thinking through all the right things and not forgetting any details! On the day of, she coordinated everything great behind the scenes. The only not so great thing was that my bouquets were droopy by the time we started holding them for pics. I wish she would have noticed this vs. me. But, she did take care of the situation and had the florist come back to make things better. All in all, you're in safe hands with Jaime. You can trust that everything will be thought of/taken care of and you can just focus on enjoying yourself on the big day! I would definitely recommend!

We hired Jaime Events last minute, only a month before our wedding. Our friend who was going to help as a coordinator fell through and my now husband and I panicked. We met with Jaime, and right away she put us at ease! She walked around our venue with us and listened to all of our ideas--then on the day she made sure that everything we planned happened, and if there were any issues, we weren't aware! We had a church wedding with a reception in the backyard under a tent and Jaime made sure that the lighting and decorations were perfect. She's the best!

Hiring Jaime as our Day-Of-Coordinator was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding day! We had planned our wedding ourselves but we were SO worried about the Day-Of logistics. We didn't want to feel bombarded with stress and questions on our wedding day... we wanted to feel like we were attending our own wedding and 100% enjoying each moment :) We wanted someone to come in and manage the timeline for the day/evening and makes sure everything ran smoothly! That is exactly what Jaime did for us. She performed all these activities and more: directed the reception space set up, she was the point of contact for all our vendors, she made sure we had time to sneak away for some couple sunset photos, she ran our rehearsal the night before, + more. She did an amazing job. She stayed on top of everything and it was clear that she had much experience with weddings and knew exactly how to direct the day!
