HIRE JAKKI! Her work speaks for itself and her talent is evident. But aside from being truly amazing at what she does, she is a great person. Yes, you want wedding vendors who are the best at what they do and are extremely talented, but it is also equally important to work with people you enjoy and bring you peace and excitement during what can become a stressful time/day. Jakki listened to everything I said and made all of my floral dreams come true. I wanted a moody and romantic palette for our November wedding and she delivered in spades. Jakki respected our budget and never overpromised something she couldn't deliver. She sourced absolutely stunning florals, in deep rich tones and worked with us about 1.5 weeks before our wedding to come up with a solution to having to re-adjust our seating arrangement to add two 20-person long tables in a cost-effective and beautiful way. If you want a wedding florist who creates beautiful, asymmetric, whimsical arrangements and makes you feel like a friend then do yourself a favor a book this woman!! Jakki and her work are worth every cent!!

Jakki was the first vendor that I booked for my wedding and I couldn’t be happier that I did. She completely understood the vibe I was going for and is so knowledgeable about both flowers and weddings. On the day of my wedding I was blown away by the result. I received so many compliments on the flowers even from people that said they typically don’t notice the flowers at weddings. She somehow knew exactly what I wanted and needed when even I didn’t. Her laid back personality made her so easy to work with! I couldn’t recommend her enough and would book her 1000 times over!!
The absolute best decision I made during wedding planning was hiring Jakkelyn- and us brides know there's no less than 1,000 decisions we have to make! From day 1, she was so fun to work with. I had a pretty specific floral vision- with the monochrome bouquets for my bridesmaids and specific colors. She took my vision and made it everything I dreamed of except even more beautiful. I cried when I walked into my venue and saw her magic. Not only is she incredibly talented, she is so sweet. I am going to miss talking and planning with her. It's also worth a mention that I had to change my venue to a completely different state and she was more than happy to stick with me.
I am beyond grateful! I am very picky and florals were a very important part of my day- trust Jakki and you'll be so happy!!
Jakki is one of a kind and I am so thankful she was our florist - best decision we made! Jakki was on our venue's recommended vendor list and it was love at first sight - as soon as I saw photos of her work, I knew we had to have her as our florist. We ended up postponing our 2020 wedding and doing a small at-home ceremony, so we were lucky enough to work with Jakki twice! Jakki is an artist and has a true talent for creating beautiful florals that perfectly balance color, texture and emotion. She knows what will look best in certain spaces and I appreciated that she shared her creative opinion and ideas throughout the process while being totally open and understanding of any personal tastes and budget. When it was time for our larger, postponed wedding, I gave Jakki full creative control (within our pre-set estimate) to put together something beautiful and it totally blew us away! The beige roses, magnolia leaves, anemones, and greenery with beautiful candles and a stunning mantle created the most gorgeous romantic, moody, emotive wedding florals I have ever seen! It looked like it was made for the space and it fit our aesthetic so perfectly I still wonder how she knew what we wanted before we did. I appreciate that she sources locally, will forage for materials, and prioritizes in-season materials. Once I mentioned to Jakki that my husband loves birds nests, she incorporated a nest from her yard in the center of a stunning entrance table centerpiece. We are so lucky to have found this florist turned friend and I know Jakki's bouquets will be a constant in our house. If you are looking for a florist that's "not like the other girls", go with Jakki - her work is incredibly unique, whimsical, romantic, and artistic!
Jakki was so special to us through the whole process and thankfully turned into a great friend! Jakki works closely with local farmers to get the most beautiful and fresh flowers. It was so easy to let her take full creative control of our florals, she listened to our vision and took it above and beyond to bring it to life. We have had so many guests still chatting about the stunning flowers and how they felt our moody-vintage and timeless florals really captured us as a couple and flowed seamlessly with our venue. We are looking forward to making more memories with Jakki and her beautiful arrangements!
Working with Jakki was an absolute dream! After seeing her work I knew she would be able to execute my vision! She was extremely communicative and sent a vision board that perfectly matched my own thoughts of what our florals would look like. The florals at our wedding were incredible and just what I wanted- a perfect romantic garden filled with whimsical and even strawberries! We are so happy we chose Jakki for our special day!
When I first stumbled upon Jakki’s Instagram page, I knew I needed her beautiful florist talent for our wedding. She has such an art for putting together florals. After speaking to Jakki for our first initial meeting, I knew right away that she was amazing at what she did. She took the time to get to know my husband and I and made sure she knew our style and exactly what we wanted. Fast forward to Covid times… Jakki jumped on the phone with me and was very supportive when we decided to postpone our wedding for a year. She was there to listen and help with anything she could do. I can’t say enough about her. Not only is she an amazing florist, but she truly is an amazing person. After working with her for about two years she became a friend. I used her before the wedding with thanksgiving and mother day flowers and then again for my bridal shower. Her talent shows… she truly is amazing. Our wedding florals were unreal and surpassed what we envisioned. My guests are still raving about the center pieces and the flowers she put together for our backdrop for our ceremony. I can not even express how grateful and lucky I am that I stumbled upon her Instagram. It is not often that you stumble upon a great vendor AND a genuine person inside and out. 🥰Our wedding would not have been half as what it was without Jakki. We are beyond happy she was our florist for our special day!
My wedding hasn't taken place, but I'm compelled to leave this review for Jakki simply because of her professionalism, flexibility, approachability, and care throughout the planning process. As others can attest, planning a wedding during COVID is not always fun and can be super stress-inducing. Jakki has approached our our day with a "we have this" attitude that reassures us that, despite everything, we're going to have an awesome day. I seriously cannot thank her enough!
Jakki was our ideal florist! We loved her aesthetic when we first saw it online and then working with her was a dream. She totally understood what we were looking for and worked with us to achieve that within our budget. We felt so comfortable to let her have freedom with her floral designs and she far exceeded our expectations when we saw our arrangements on the day of. She had so many great ideas of elements to incorporate that we never would have thought of. She also was very familiar with most of our vendors / venue, which made the process that much easier. We couldn't recommend her more!
I could not imagine a better floral experience for my wedding. I went in to the whole situation knowing basically nothing about flowers or what I wanted, and Jakkelyn walked me through every step of the process. I ended up changing my travel plans (because I was living out of state) to visit her home studio and I man so glad I did. The in person consultation was worth it’s weight in gold! She totally put me at ease, and her designs were perfect (which is insane considering I had a very lose idea of what I wanted in the first place.) meeting with her in person for the trail, together we were able to come up with the idea to have hanging flowers during the ceremony - something I don’t think we’d decide to do if we hadn’t met - which ended up being one of my favorite things of the whole day. Jakkelyn was communicative and punctual and extremely professional. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.
I immediately fell in love with Jakki’s floral arrangements after seeing them at Everthine. When I first spoke with Jakki I was convinced I wanted greenery with white flowers. But after some discussion I completely changed my mind and boy am I glad I did! Our arrangements were absolutely beautiful with so much texture and muted fall colors. From the beginning my hope was to have a full circle arch, and with a budget in mind I wasn’t sure we’d be able to do it. Jakki totally made it happen and her and her team created this absolutely breath taking arch which they also moved and reassembled behind our sweetheart table (thank you, thank you, thank you). It made for this amazing back drop which we are so glad to be able to enjoy in all of our photos. While planning I had this vision in my head and being probably the least creative person there is I wasn’t sure how it would all come together. Jakki totally got exactly where I was going with everything and her and her team executed it perfectly! Our guests have complimented us so many times on how gorgeous the flowers were. We are so grateful to have found such an amazing florist!
Absolutely fabulous job done at my sons recent wedding. Definitely not cookie cutter wedding florist. Her eye for design is wonderful uniquely creative. Highly recommend
We were incredibly happy with the final result at our wedding - the flowers and arrangements that Jakkelyn put together were absolutely stunning and unique and we got tons of compliments. I was pretty nervous because I am pretty picky about f lowers and colors, but Jakkelyn managed to figure out exactly the look I was going for and make it happen. I don't have a ton of points of comparison but she also seemed cheaper and more cost conscious than other florist who were recommended by our wedding planner. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the area, only thing to work on was communication but our planner handled most of that anyway.
Leading up to our wedding every one told me- if you want to save money do it on the flowers. I almost followed that advice until I saw Jakki’s work on Instagram. The second I saw her talent I knew I had to have her as part of my team. Well, you can imagine my husbands displeasure when I told him we were no longer skimping on the flowers. When I called Jakki I told her I was on a budget but did not want to work with anyone else. Jakki made our budget work and let me tell you- I am so glad we did not go with just anyone. During our consult I told her the general vibe I was going for but essentially I just said, “you do you. I trust you.” And not once did I worry about what we were going to get but I could have never imagined just how perfect it would actually be. Her work is absolute, pure talent and I don’t think the look of our wedding would have been accomplished without her. Even the photographer and hair and make up artists kept taking pictures and saying how obsessed they were with my arrangements. So let me give you some advice- do NOT save on the flowers and absolutely go with Jakki. She is kind, reliable and so unbelievably talented. You will not be disappointed. Even my husband agrees!!
Take one peek at Jakki's website or instagram, and you'll instantly see her incredible artistry. I know my words cannot do her work justice, but trust me that her work is THAT good in real life, and she made our ceremony and reception (at the Lace Factory) truly breathtaking. We gave her a general sense of what we were after, and she ran with it. When we saw what she had created (hanging greenery! short and tall centerpieces! gorgeous garland! amazing antique brass vessels! lanterns and florals in the hallway! the gorgeous arch!), our jaws dropped and we had tears in our eyes...and we turned around to find Jakki there with tears in her eyes. That says so much about Jakki - she is passionate about her work and completely immerses herself in it.
She was a joy to work with, as well. She has a "trial" run about a month before the wedding, and when we saw the samples we knew she really understood what we wanted and everything was going to be perfect (which is very comforting during the crazy time leading up to the wedding). We were even able to brainstorm a few ideas and to collaborate together on some ladders my husband built to hang greenery from - it made the process so fun and special.
I'm not from the area, so Jakki was kind enough to recommend other vendors, and we found our photographer and our DJ through Jakki. She's just all-around awesome. She was an integral part of the wedding for us, and we can't recommend her enough.
Words cannot describe this gal’s artistry and talent! From our first phone call, Jakki clearly intuited exactly the ambience we were hoping to achieve with our wedding flowers. I felt so taken care of at every part of the planning process, because it was clear to me that Jakki’s vision matched my own. She is the easiest person to work with, and it is so clear that she loves and is inspired by what she does. The bouquets, wristlets, and corsages that she put together for us were lush, gorgeous, and clearly all belonged together, without looking “matchy”. The ceremony arch that she decorated with flowers provided the most breathtaking centerpiece to our wedding. The reception centerpieces and other table arrangements that Jakki put together brought our reception venue to another level! There was not one detail of the flowers that we would change. It is so obvious that Jakki cares immensely about the couples she works with, and genuinely wanted to contribute her magic to our special day. We are so grateful to have encountered Jakki’s unparalleled ingenuity, and are so lucky that she shared her magic with us!
Jakki's talent & vision is indescribable. I had a vision going into my wedding, but Jakki took that and ran, transforming our special day into a real-life fairytale. Everything she touched that day was nothing short of perfect. From the patina tins filled with florals that lined the ceremony aisle to the apple ladder that was draped in florals and greenery that hung above the head table, Jakki is a real-life artist. From the very first meeting, she was great about taking my vision and then showing me how we could make it all possible within a reasonable budget. Her knowledge of florals does not go without notice, which made it easy for her to help me maintain my vision, but use florals that would hold up well during that time of year. If a certain flower wouldn't work, she'd let me know, but then show me something similar that would. Of course florals are tricky to completely envision...there's always that element of the unknown walking into your wedding, but Jakki couldn't have nailed it anymore if she tried. She got married the same day we did at the same venue so it meant a lot that she took the time to spend her anniversary creating such a beautiful space for us. Walking around our reception venue before any guests arrived and turning to see Jakki with (happy) tears in her eyes is something we will never forget. She made our day an absolute dream. We will never be able to thank her enough for that.
My flowers were just as important as my dress and location. Choosing a florist who uses local options was also important. Jakkelyn was essential in making my day feel like a real life dream. The story she created with the amazing florals made me feel like my grandmother was there. Her artistry and listening ear are invaluable. I’m still on cloud nine, i can’t ever say thank you enough.
I want to start crying all over again just thinking about how beautiful Jakki made our wedding day. My husband and I were married in June 2017, and Jakki transformed the New Haven Lawn Club into my perfect wedding day! From the moment I saw her work online, I knew she would be perfect in executing the look I was going for. And at our sample meeting, we just clicked! I didn’t even need to give Jakki much direction because she knew exactly what I was looking for. On the day of our wedding, she truly went above and beyond. I still remember the feeling of walking into the ballroom to see the completed reception tables - it was beyond anything I could have dreamed up, and Jakki and I were both teary-eyed looking at that space! On top of her amazing talent, Jakki is an amazing person. She’s kind, genuine, and takes such care to bring your vision to life. What’s more, she even messaged me the morning after our wedding because I had left my bouquet at the venue. She took my flowers and started the drying process - even rooting one of the pieces into a growing plant! Jakki knows her stuff and creates gorgeous pieces of art, definitely recommend!
If I were to get married again, I'd hire Jakkelyn in an instant. Her work literally took my breath away. She is incredibly talented, personable, and passionate about her work. She has a timeless style - I know that in 10, 20, 50 years from now, I will look at my wedding photos and love the bouquets she put together just as much as I did on my wedding day. I cannot recommend her enough!
Jakki is a rockstar florist!!! I found her during my intense wedding research phase on the Internet with rave reviews everywhere already. From our initial phone conversation, I knew she would be our perfect wedding day florist. I went into hiring Jakki with only a color/ floral vibe in mind (no specifics) and she 100% understood where I was coming from and took it to the next level. The florals she had for us during our trial meeting were absolutely gorgeous and they were just a small peek into what we would be getting for our wedding day. When Jakki dropped off our personal flowers at my father's house while we were getting ready, I was speechless... My bouquet, my girls' bouquets, the guys boutenierres, and mothers' wristlets were breathtaking! And then the ceremony: Jakki had this idea of natural wood boxes with greenery and some florals lining the aisle, they were unbelievable! Spur of the moment, when setting the ceremony space up, she made additional boxes with marsh grass from the surrounding landscape to create a backdrop for the ceremony, and of course, they were gorgeous! We then used these boxes to decorate our head table and other reception spaces. All of our guest tables had beautiful centerpieces along with single blooms in my family's personal collection of apothecary bottles that were worked into the design perfectly. She was extremely generous with our modest flower budget and went above and beyond designing and decorating our dream wedding space! The king proteas that she supplied us (2 in my bouquet alone!!!) stole the show. Jakki, by far, exceeded our expectations in every aspect of her design, flower picks, and enthusiasm. Hiring Jakki as our florist was one of my favorite decisions we made in our entire planning process. Thank you so much Jakki for a perfect experience and beautiful flowers that we will remember forever 💜💜💜
It’s almost a year after our wedding, and I’m still pretty enthusiastic about being Jakki’s #1 fan. Our photographer, Athena Blude (also amazing) recommended Jakki for floral design. From my first phone call with Jakki, I knew right away that she was going to be awesome to work with.
For our wedding florals, I went in with more of a vibe (which Jakki later named “Bohemian Jewel Tones (with Gold)”) rather than choosing specific flowers or arrangements, and Jakki just seemed to click in sync with me and my ideas right away. (Side note: Please don’t go in with an exact idea or a picture of something for her to recreate, or you are going to miss out on her bewildering talent). After a conversation based on vibes, ideas, and scrolling through what I thought would have been an overwhelming pinterest board of every floral arrangement I ever liked, I hung up the phone feeling like Jakki just got it. And it turns out she did!
Jakki was able to create a custom and elegant look that encompassed everything we loved. The sample center piece that she prepared for our trial meeting made me and my mom cry (and in turn made Jakki cry). And made my husband very interested and excited about the flowers. And that was just a small taste of how the florals would be on our wedding day. Every single thing that Jakki designed for our wedding was perfect. She created a custom arch for our ceremony that was straight out of a dream. (The time and effort she spent doing that alone made us sincerely grateful). The personal flowers, centerpieces, and little touches that she included throughout the venue created a beautiful backdrop for our memories and are details we will always remember. She even decorated our donut tower wedding cake with flowers and was really funny and awesome about her appreciation for our choice of a donuts for a wedding cake. (I was dubbed “donut bride”, and I’m not mad about it).
Throughout the whole process she was very responsive, answering questions and providing suggestions/referrals for other decor and rentals. She just felt like that friend whose advice you absolutely need for how something is going to look. Her talent and eye for aesthetics is just obvious and apparent from the moment you speak with her or meet her.
Jakki is a true artist and an undeniable talent. She takes beautiful things and crafts them into compositions that heighten their natural beauty. Above and beyond that, she is a beautiful person and we are grateful that she had such an impact on our wedding day. By the time our wedding day rolled around, Jakki was someone I was genuinely excited to see when she walked into the bridal suite to deliver the bouquets. We felt honored to have her be a part of our big day. We always recommend Jakki to any future bride we meet!
Jakkelyn, who has recently started her own business, was recommended to me by one of the florists whom she freelances for, and from our first email exchange, we knew she was the floral designer for us. For a start, she was super responsive by email, both initially and throughout the process, which was so helpful as a busy out-of-state bride. It is worth mentioning that while I had some ideas, I did not know exactly what I was looking for in flowers. I had been frustrated by other florists I'd met or spoken to who wanted me to give them exact directions and who weren't really able (or perhaps weren't willing)to take the time to help form and refine my vision. Jakki was a breath of fresh air with respect to this. She replied to my first long email of rambling ideas with feedback and direction and new ideas that seemed to flow with the vibe I was looking for ( which was kind of a rustic and elegant combo). When we were finally able to meet her, she was so down to earth, friendly, and really enthusiastic, which was another departure from my other experiences. She made the whole planning process much more personal, and it felt more like working with a friend than a vendor. She was super creative and arty, yet very practical (took into account our budget and made sure to keep it in mind throughout the decisions) and organized. I trusted her for creative guidance and to give expert opinions to help shape and refine my own ideas-- I knew she would tell me if something wouldn't work (stylistically, cost-wise, etc), but I also trusted her to take into account my preferences and style.
Now, I'm a firm believer that having a good wedding experience is all about the people, and Jakki definitely had the personality I spades, but that point would be kind of moot if her designs and ideas weren't good. She had me over to her studio for a mock-up of the centerpieces about a month before the wedding, and when I walked in, I couldn't believe how perfectly she had captured what we wanted. It was exactly what I had hoped for and imagined but had not been 100% able to put into words. From there, the additional elements on the wedding day--the bouquets, the floral arch we had at the ceremony, the boutonnières, and the cocktail decorations, cake flowers--only further served to exceed my expectations in being amazing.
Jakkii is an amazing florist and artist. I think her talents are immense and her taste impeccable. One of the best things that happened to my wedding was that the original florist I called was booked and recommended Jakki instead. I now recommend her without reservation. I think she would be perfect for brides with many different styles, and especially ideal for those who are looking for someone to work side by side with and bring their ideal vision to reality.
Jakkelyn designed the flowers for my recent wedding. Her designed are botanically inspired and fit our vintage/rustic theme perfectly! I provided Jakki with a list of my favorite flowers and the color theme for the wedding, and she did a phenomenal job! I lost my dad 10 years ago and wanted to use one of his neck tie to wrap my bouquet. My bouquet was breathtaking and Jakki saved enough of the material from the tie to add it to my groom's boutonniere as well! It was such a special surprise! The flowers for the reception were also beautiful. Jakki decorated the cake and the tables as well - all beautiful. For a reasonable charge, Jakki will deliver the flowers to you. She was a pleasure to work with!
