When researching DJs, all Mark’s reviews said he kept the dance floor full all night, and we can confirm this is true, even with a family not big into dancing! There was the added challenge of multiple generations of family, but DJ Mark played a mix of songs that everyone recognized, was able to dance to, and enjoy. He not only provided excellent music, but also lighting, lawn games, and mics for our outdoor ceremony. overall vibe is the entertainment, and having experienced Jam Event DJs at multiple events along with knowing Mark personally, we absolutely had to have him DJ our big day, and it was the best decision we made. Months later, people are still telling us how much fun they had at our wedding, and it’s largely thanks to the amazing job Mark did, knowing how to read the room and keep people dancing and entertained all night long! His knowledge of all the details that go into a wedding is impressive, plus his music library is endless. We shopped around a little and received emails with attached packages and a simple “let us know if you would like to move forward” but with Mark at JAM Events, we got an email back asking if we would be available for a quick phone call. He was the only person who asked to speak with us over the phone and once we connected there was no other option. His energy from the start was just what we were looking for! He was engaging and had a great personality, which is also super important. We touched based throughout the months and had a phone call closer to the wedding date to review everything. He was very detailed and thorough, making sure he had exactly what I wanted and what I was looking for! I really appreciated that because some things I just added to the portal and didn’t really think through (time frames, start time, etc.). He was super helpful with all the little details that we non-entertainers don’t normally think about! The day of the dance floor was electric! Everyone was dancing and he played a great mix of music, which again is very important (at least to me) for everyone to enjoy and get people up and dancing! If he had any questions, he did not hesitate to come and ask me, which I SUPER appreciated because I don’t like surprises and like to be kept in the loop (surprise speeches, etc.). Overall, he was awesome. I said it all night, my guests did, too and I will keep saying it! DJ JAM Events were not only AMAZING to work with, but they know how to do a wedding!!!!

Mark assured me that he had it all handled and made sure that the venue stayed on track. The ceremony was flawless and perfect to us, and Mark kept all the guest dancing ALL night long. e where everyone we know seems to be getting married, the year prior to our wedding we attended over 6 weddings! Out of those weddings the benefit was seeing various vendors and getting a flavor for what we may choose ourselves along with celebrating our friends. Out of all those weddings (and others we attended prior) we were impressed by Jay’s transitions between songs, movement through the ceremony and the variation of songs as our crowd would be similar in taste. Mark was available for our wedding and we had not witnessed his work and echoed that we loved Jay’s style and approach. Mark assured us that they are a team and provide the same services to each wedding by working closely together. Well, Mark delivered above what we had anticipated! He set the bar high in terms of making sure we had everything we needed from the packages, song list, intros, flow of the event, online website that is a portal between client/ DJ to ensure all is accounted for and of course keeping it fun! The two are professionals who know how to keep the celebration going. We enjoyed Mark leading us on various portions of our reception while MCing just enough but not overbearing throughout the night. Just before the event started we checked in and he threw out a couple additional ideas if we wanted to add to our night…one of which was an emo hour. THE BEST SUGGESTION, the bride (and groom) were thrilled to rock out with their guests and bridal party to music they grew up enjoying (and still do)! Many guests actually reached out to us after the wedding and complemented this hour of music specifically and wished more weddings did this! All in all we could not have chosen a better DJ (and photo booth provider) for us! Some key elements that were important to us were communication, transparency, MCing the event but not overly so, transitions of songs (smooth not abrupt), no random silent moments, transitioning from all music genres ages and pronouncing names correctly. The night went smoothly, everyone enjoyed themselves and most importantly we were beyond pleased with our choice in JamEventDjs!

He also took time with us to ensure he was pronouncing all the names properly and really just cares about making your night special. He is an extremely personable, and patient individual who has years of experience with being an event coordinator and DJ, so we were very confident that we were in good hands. Mark also asked us to provide him with a playlist of songs that we wanted to hear most. During the day, he was great at keeping the reception running smoothly and was on point when it came to the timeline that we had set for the day. During the latter part of the reception when the dance floor opened, Mark not only played all the songs we originally requested, but he also threw in other tunes that were similar and matched the vibe of the crowd. Overall, it was an AWESOME time thanks to Mark!! We would 100% recommend Mark and Jam Event DJ’s to anyone looking for an experienced, professional DJ/MC who knows how to have fun and make your event so special.

The client portal was a great tool for us for many reasons - we knew which part of our event needed songs picked by us and everything was SO customizable, we aren't "mainstream music" people. At the time of the wedding, Mark and his assistant NAILED absolutely everything, our guests were dancing on the dancefloor before dinner was even served and the only time anyone left the dance floor was for the bar. We chose Amber up-lighting at Mark's recommendation as our venue was a big barn (horse girl dreams) and it gave the barn such a beautiful and natural glow!! Seriously perfect. Our wedding truly would not have been the same without him!! Thank you Mark and team!!!
