James Anthony Photography

as quick to respond to let us know! He made the process to change the date easy. With our final date approaching he talked with us multiple times over the phone to discuss details and wedding day timeline to make sure that what we pictured for our day would actually happen. To be quite frank, he basically set our timeline for the morning of with letting us know when everyone had to be ready so we would have plenty of time for all the photos we wanted. Our hair and makeup vendor gave a little push back with this time, but he knew from experience the time and he was right because they did run late as predicted and if we didn't plan for this extra time because of him it would have added a lot of stress to the morning of. Also fully enjoyed his personality. One of the reasons I reached out to him was because of other reviews commenting on his sense of humor and that is just what I needed the day of! The pictures came out stunning! Love every single one of them! We have a lot of variety to choose from too with all the different poses and locations we took pictures in at the venue. Also, when it came to the ceremony and reception they blended right in and you didn't even know they (we decided on the two photographers package) was there. They captured everything at the ceremony and reception without getting in anyone's way. We have gotten so many compliments on our photos from friends and family members. We highly recommend!

at personality and was able to handle my huge bridal party with ease! We truly cannot thank him enough for being such a big part of our wedding day and for making it the most amazing night of our lives!!

in our photos so natural! We had all our pictures in a short amount of time and the best quality! Jimmy is worth every dollar-If your looking for Quality, James is your guy!

d it. His personality is awesome and he made everything go so smoothly. Recommended a breath taking location for our first look. Everything went as planned and our pictures are better than I could have imagined!!

the day of your wedding? James Anthony was all of that and more. Our photos are stunning, the shots we imagined having are all there and the magic of making our special day feel even more special with his grace and charm made it all that much more worth it!

feel comfortable when taking pictures. We didn’t have super specific ideas for our pictures, so we really looked to him to take the lead on where, when and how. James suggested Waterplace Park for our engagement photos, and we were so happy with the photos. We wanted to include my son in some of these photos too, and James did a great job coaching him in the pictures as well. Our wedding was at the Biltmore in Providence and James suggested our first look take place in front of the glass elevator, he coordinated it perfectly and snapped each step of it so that he could capture my husband’s face when he first saw me in my dress. We took group shots in the lobby and on the outdoor terrace. James recommended that we go outside about midway thru the reception to get a night shot of the Biltmore, this is something I would never have thought of, but am SO glad that he suggested it because the Biltmore looks gorgeous at night. James brought a second photographer with him on the wedding day so we could have one photographer with the guys as they got ready and the other with the ladies, this made us feel like nothing was going to be missed. Communication with James was great, he replies to questions right away. We received our engagement photos about a week after we took them, I thought this was great. Our wedding photos took about 3 weeks, which was fine with us especially since we went on our honeymoon right after the wedding.

hings running smoothly, quickly and efficiently, especially with a wedding party of 19!

hile we knew both James and Valentina through my and Valentina's family, we never really had a chance to sit down and speak with them one-on-one. As soon as we met James and saw his work, we knew we wanted to book him for both our engagement session (taken exactly a year before our wedding day!) and wedding. James is personable, has a great sense of humor, put myself, my husband, and our entire wedding party at ease, and was able to work around my multiple facial expressions (which sadly, I didn't realize I was making until after the fact! Sorry, James!). James was extremely responsive to my many e-mails over the course of my two year engagement and answered all of the questions that came to my husband's and my minds. From getting ready, our first look, our ceremony, and our reception, James and his second shooter, Shannon, didn't miss a second of our wedding day. When we received our photos back (over 1,400 of them!), we felt like we were reliving our big day all over again-- even the smallest moments, such as a wedding guest fixing my bustle, and our 14-month-old niece (and flower girl) having a blast on the dance floor in her pajamas. If you're looking for a photographer that is easy to work with, is responsive to questions/e-mails, and truly cares about your wedding day, my husband and I HIGHLY recommend James Anthony Photography!

gement shoot - to the day of our wedding, we could not have been happier with James and his staff. He catered to all our needs and kept my fiancé/wife extremely happy with his service and attention to detail. James is affordable and HIGHLY recommended.

th james and the second we started shooting he was joking around with us, which helped make us feel comfortable! We had 20 minutes with the sun going down and he took amazing photos and a lot! In such a short amount of time! plus i had an outfit change! I was so excited how my wedding photos would turn out . And James executed again! Im so in love with ALL the pictures ! BOOK JAMES you wont be disappointed !!

ur engagement shoot and wedding day. James is incredibly personable, easy to work with, and very professional. James will answer any questions that you have and call/email you back immediately. His prices are VERY reasonable and I would recommend him to any bride and groom. James made our wedding day absolutely perfect and we look forward to cherishing our pictures for years to come!

y is James very personable and fun, but he is a professional and easy to work worth. We did not have to ask him for anything he explained everything and also did our engagement photos which were awesome!! He responds quick, priced very well and by far trusted! These are your wedding pictures, you need someone you can rely on! His assistant Faith was fantastic as well! I recommend him 110%! Thank you James for making our day the best!

website. They were exactly the type of pictures I wanted: some artsy, some classic, some more creative, some more traditional. From our first email exchange, I got a sense of his fun-loving personality, and knew that he would be a great fit for our less-than-eager-about-taking-so-many-photos kind of crowd. When you are as talented and experienced as James is, you can really invest some time in talking to your clients and making everyone feel comfortable, and he did just that. It was great to get to know him for our engagement shoot, and when we got those photos back, we were even more excited that he would be capturing our wedding day as well. From the moment he arrived, he was running the show (in the best way). We got so many shots I would’ve never been able to plan myself. Our whole bridal party was cracking up at his jokes and he put us all at ease right away. The photos of the ceremony and reception do just what they are supposed to do: remind you exactly how you felt in those moments. We will be able to relive the joy of our wedding day forever because of the photos taken by James. The vendors you choose have to be both professional and personable, and James is both. He was wonderful to work with from day one, responsive to all communication and accommodating every request, even patiently getting in a family photo with over 30 people! We couldn’t have entrusted a better guy with what is, in my opinion, the most important job on your wedding day. Once it’s over, your photos are what you have to look back on, and we certainly have so many amazing ones, thanks to James Anthony Photography!

urned out gorgeous and he made my whole wedding party comfortable and kept them laughing! Thank you James!

e Date and Christmas card. He was very professional but very fun to be around. He was go with the flow when things did not run exactly on time. He also photographed our Sikh wedding on the day before our civil ceremony. He was respectful of the culture and I am sure he got a lot of great shots. I cannot wait to see the finished product. Would absolutely hire him again! :)

exception of the pictures in between the Mass & reception, you did not realize he was there. The pictures that he captured at church and the reception are amazing. When we were going through the photos every photo just kept getting better and better!

He has such a good eye, so creative and awesome at capturing every precious moment. James was the first vendor we picked out during our wedding planning and we're glad we did! He is highly recommended!

will come and go so quickly they are not joking. I cannot believe how fast the entire day just flew by. Months and months of planning followed by a 24hr day that seemed to last 10 minutes! Looking back at all the pictures James and his staff captured for me bring me back and all I can do is smile! James was easy to talk to and always prompt with his responses during the prepping stages. The day of, he was on time and so comforting. He worked well with his staff and all of the wedding party. He met with me and my girls at my mothers for hair and make up. He went to my MILs to take pics of the boys. Then arrived at the venue and didn't miss a beat! He captured moments I missed, moments I forgot about, and moments that I will never have again except for in the pictures. I DL'd all of the pictures on my computer at work and find myself getting lost in the joy as I flip thru them and smile and laugh. James Anthony Photography - A++ !!!

ful memories.

came out and enjoyed working with James very much!

group (his wife Valentina was our DJ and we used their photo booth service). After meeting with James at the hitched office, seeing some samples of his work, and getting to know his professional, experienced, and very funny personality we had no doubts about booking him as our wedding photographer. My husband and I are so thrilled we used him. Not only did he drive all over the state of Rhode Island for us (from johnston, to mystic CT, to Richmond ri) but he was enthusiastic and had a positive attitude the entire time. We couldn't be happier with how our photos came out! My last point, I am someone who always tried to network and use someone I know or a friend and We took a chance on James because he was a stranger and we didn't know anyone who had used him. But with great risk comes great reward and it was so worth it! He is definitely now a close friend and we will forever recommend him!

day of the wedding went off without a hitch and he truly made the experience flawless. He was so down to earth & never made us feel uncomfortable. Highly recommended.

less. I wanted professional, creative, memorable photos-and that’s exactly what we received. I am so impressed, so thankful and very enthusiastic about recommending James Anthony/Photography to everyone!!! Amazing. Unbelievable. Breathtaking. I look forward to working with him again! Thanks so much James for your exceptional services.

the entire day and his assistant was great. They were unobtrusive, captured every special moment and the photos were completed very quickly. My husband and I both enjoyed his humor and made us feel so comfortable with everything. James Anthony Photography is highly recommended for your wedding photography needs!

professional and after meeting and checking with other photographers, he won us over. We did an engagement photo session (included in our price), not knowing specifically what we wanted so James suggested some location and pose options that worked well for us. He was easy to work with to pick a time for that and had a quick turnaround on the engagement session photos. For our wedding day, he was prompt and on time with his assistant at our venue. At no time was I worried that he would not capture our special day as to not miss a thing. James had a few key suggestions in order to get some special photos. It was obvious he was very experienced. My husband and I are very happy to recommend James to anyone for a wedding photographer based on his responsiveness, experience, flexibility, and quality. He is reliable and easy to work with.

d with our photos and have two portraits hanging in our home were we always get compliments! He's worth every penny to capture a one of a kind day!

planning. We did not have a typical 8 hour wedding but he was willing to work with us and our budget to make our day special! After our wedding, James got our proofs to us fast and I was able to contact him easily if I had any questions about my order. I have submitted my order and am so excited to receive our album and canvas that we ordered. James' work was outstanding! Between him and his assistant, we had amazing pictures and cannot thank them enough!! We will recommend James Anthony Photography to all of our friend's and family!

e I was 100% satisfied. He listed to all of our requests. It was a pleasure having him capture our wedding day memories. I highly recommend him.

ond belief that I would not have good pictures. I could not be more wrong. James personally called me the day before the wedding to triple check all times and details. During that call he assured me that the weather would not be a problem. On the wedding day James captured the most perfect gorgeous pictures. Even some beautiful rain shots as well! He also has a fun personality that my now husband and I enjoyed being around. You will not be disappointed if you book!

on and imagination provided us with amazing lifelong memories that we will always cherish. From our initial meeting to our engagement session to our wedding and follow up, James was attentive, full of great ideas and very accommodating. I would highly recommend James Anthony to any Bride to capture their special day in the most impressive and memorable way possible.

im and seeing his beautiful work we knew we had found our photographer - and he did not disappoint! He is absolutely amazing to work with. He is punctual, very accommodating, has an AMAZING personality, and takes beautiful photos! He is very creative, and is open to any suggestions you may have. He was always very quick to respond to any questions we had leading up to the wedding. His prices are very reasonable. In the end we had so many great pictures!! We hired him the second and third time without looking anywhere else. I also have to mention his assistant Angelo - he took great pictures and was so much fun to be around. All in all an amazing photographer and a great person!! You will not be disappointed!

that we had to have him too! The value is amazing because you get a lot for a very reasonable price and his work is beautiful! We love our pictures and he was very accommodating in covering our day from start to finish. He traveled to multiple photo locations with us and even walked around Providence in the cold to get certain pictures we wanted! Not only did the pictures come out beautiful, but we had such a fun time working with him and his crew! Our bridal party loved them and said they have never had so much fun being in a wedding and taking pictures all day! We highly recommend James Anthony Photography for your event - Jimmy is amazing to work with, his work is incredible and you will not be disappointed!

tos. They were romantic yet modern. I had some ideas for places I wanted us to shoot our pictures to match our personalities and James just ran with it and came up with great photos! I had one picture in particular that I wanted James to shoot for our Save-the-dates. I had arranged for the Avon Cinema to put up our names and wedding date on the marquis and James totally nailed the picture of us in front of it! Our Save-the-dates came out perfect and were the talk of the town! We had so much fun during the 2 hour shoot. My husband, who was a little nervous, felt completely at ease and is so happy James will be doing our wedding phtots. I still look at our pictures and smile! Our wedding photos came out amazing as well. James is so easy to work with and he got so many intimate and memorable shots from that unforgettable day. He captured so many unique shots of all of the wedding party and little details I couldn't see of my husband getting ready and even shots of my family and future husband as I walked down the aisle that made me cry when I looked back at the photos. He definitely captures every special moment throughout the day. He told us at one point, everything is a potential photo, and he took advantage of our beautiful Newport backdrop and all the gorgeous scenery! I would recommend James over and over!

he does for the wedding .

uld definitely go to his wed sight and look at his work! He has an eye for beauty and he knows how to make a person special day come out perfect on film! I have hired James because I want only the best for my day!I know I will have perfection and professionalism from James and I believe every Bride wants to feel like she is a queen marrying her king that's what you get from James Anthony Photography~~Perfection!

with my [admittedly crazy] family and bridal party. The value was excellent, and 100% worthwhile. I cannot wait to see my final photos, everyone from the wedding has been asking about them. Thank you!

night goes by so fast but it would have been nice to also get photos of us with our friends and family at the reception.
