We hired James for our wedding at the Wilburton Inn in Manchester. We loved working with James. He was kind, low key and totally let us be ourselves. He listened to our requests while also making suggestions, but we didn’t feel like we were being pulled into a photo shoot all day long. We could actually enjoy our day! When James was done editing the photos, we were so, so happy with the final result, James took beautiful photos and completely captured our wedding day!
James is fantastic and really knows how to capture great lighting! He’s also a super calm and collected presence on what is generally a very hectic day. Don’t hestitate to hire him! He’s also just an all around nice dude.

Greetings and welcome to James Chandler Photography, a photographer based in Dorset in Southern Vermont, who specializes in photojournalistic country and mountain weddings. I am passionate about capturing what is unique to each and every couple's wedding. I love my craft because it has given me the opportunity to work with a number of truly amazing couples and help them capture and preserve wonderful moments from their otherwise busy day.
It is my belief that your special day deserves nothing less than the very best, and I cannot wait to show you what I can do for you. I love to include couples in the process, as I have found this allows couples to enjoy instead of fear being in front of a camera. Please reach out to me with questions. I generally like to keep things simple and offer a variety of album and print options because photos truly come alive when they are printed.
James Chandler Photography is available for engagement and portrait sessions. He offers a wedding package that includes a collection of high-resolution images, a second photographer, and stunning prints and albums. James is also available to travel across the globe if needed.
