James Daniel provided the music for our wedding this past wedding. We were 100% satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them. So many of our guests continue to let us know how much fun they had and how great the DJ was. Jimmy was professional, easy to work with, fun, and had the best ideas! He took it upon himself to come up with some unique song playings and dances during the wedding as well. If you're looking for a DJ- James Daniel is your vendor! They will not disappoint. Jimmy made our wedding the success it was and we will be forever grateful to him!!

We hired Sean Big Daddy McKee as the DJ for our wedding in August and it was the absolute best decision!! He is not only amazing at his job and a fantastic singer, he is such and incredibly kind person that puts his heart and soul into his work. His site for listing our must play, should play and do NOT play songs was super easy to use and helped make sure whatever we REALLY wanted was played. He did an excellent job taking what we liked there and choosing the perfect mix of popular music, country and classic rock to keep the party going all night! He made the suggestion for us to go right into a party song after our entrance, getting the energy in the right place and having everyone up and on the dancefloor. Then we went into our first dance and from there kept the dancing going all night! He did a great job of MCing the night and completely blew our guests away with his incredible singing voice. People said to me after - we couldn't believe it was him singing it sounded just like the real song!! We loved him and highly recommend him for any upcoming event you need a DJ for!!!

Sean Big Daddy is the best! Somehow he got guests out on the dance floor before the official dancing even began! You can have whatever songs you want ahead of time, including songs he must play and songs you don’t want him to not play, but he knows how to read the crowd so it isn’t worth getting too detailed. We had about half the guests in their late 20s and the other half in their late 50s yet he had them all in the dance floor together. And guests were blown away by his singing during dinner. Such a beautiful voice it took a minute to even realize he was singing. We also had him play tradition wedding songs during the ceremony and his timing was perfect.

I hired Paul Lacano with James Daniel Entertainment after he was recommended by our Caterer and Venue. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, was so knowledgeable, and the wedding was SO MUCH FUN. Everyone had an amazing time dancing. He took our requests and offered his advice and suggestions, and made the day run so smoothly. Highly highly recommend DJ Paul for your wedding or event!

We hired Nico for our hybrid South Asian ceremony and he was so thoughtful, kind and took the time to understand everything. He made sure everyone had a good time and did a wonderful job! DJ Paul was great. We gave very little direction and basically just said "read the room and give the people what they want" and he delivered. Everyone had a great time and he was very easy to work with.

The wedding of our dreams came to life on June 4th! James Daniel Entertainment has the experience and the tools to make any special day a hit. After interviewing and handful of DJ’s, we decided on Sean “Big Daddy.” He was the last DJ we spoke to and instantly felt he was the perfect fit to our big day. Without previous knowledge, we learned Sean was an old childhood friend of my Great Uncle and worked closely with many close friends during their celebrations as well. This just gave us even more confidence in our decision! Leading up to the big day, Sean was always quick to respond, but truly provided us with so much information and assistance that minimal contact was needed, which was great because we had many calls, emails, and texts to tent to! James Daniel provided us with access to our own planning website that allowed us to select songs we absolutely had to hear, did NOT want to hear, and wanted to hear if there was time in the evening. My husband and I listen to a wide variety of music, as do our guests, so it was important to us that all genres were represented on our day. Throughout the entirety of our event, there was never not 20+ guests on the dance floor. Sean sang songs, felt out the crowd, and kept everyone moving, just as we had asked! It’s important for us to note that we did not have anything specific in mind for how we were doing to enter the reception and be announced for the first time. Sean gave us a few ideas that were true to us, and we trusted him to feel out the moment. He is a professional through and through and we could not recommend him more! It was the party of a lifetime and truly could not have happened without Big Daddy!

I cannot say enough good things about Big Daddy Sean McKee! He is so nice, funny and easy to talk to! I could tell immediately after our first phone call that he is compassionate and really cares about what he does! At the reception in between dances/toasts he made it interactive experience for the guests and did a great job getting everyone to the dance floor! He also surprised us with singing a little of his own and he has an amazing voice! We also used James Daniel for our photo booth which was great because they gave us so many copies and our own album of our pictures but the props could have been better. Highly recommend Big Daddy our your wedding DJ/announcer!

We LOVE Big Daddy!!! He is such a kind soul and just amazing to work with. He had everyone up dancing and rocked our reception. So many people came up to me at the wedding, "Big Daddy is AWESOME" and even at the morning after brunch everyone was still raving about how awesome he was. Could not recommend him more. The event portal on the company website made everything so easy to request songs and organize everything ahead of time. They also did the uplighting and photobooth and both were great. So happy Big Daddy was part of our special day - highly recommend!

DJ Big Sean Daddy brought an incredible energy to our wedding reception in September! His enthusiasm and positivity was absolutely infectious. He had everyone up on their feet and ready to celebrate as soon as the evening began! My husband and I were able to make our own playlist for cocktail hour, and we compiled a number of our favorite songs for the dance floor. All of our guests had an amazing time!

We had Sean, Big Daddy, as our DJ on 10/9/2021. Our first interaction was over the phone a year plus before our wedding and he was already so excited and full of positive energy! When we got engaged, we knew the two most important elements of our wedding (besides each other) was the food and the entertainment. I had seen Big Daddy (Sean) at other weddings, and I knew we had to have him! From start to finish, Big Daddy made us feel like we were the most important couple, and he was as excited as we were to celebrate our love. I had a lot of very specific requests for music selections as well as a long "Do Not Play" list. Big Daddy was more than accommodating, going as far as extending my music preferences and themes into more elements of the reception that I didn't think about. We hired Sean, DJ Big Daddy, and we’d do it again 10x over. A pleasure to work with and a great personality. Funny, easy going, great MC, played all of our song requests and remixes. From the moment I got engaged, I already had in mind one vendor for our wedding - our DJ. After meeting with our reception venue, I had even more confidence that I had made the right decision when his name was at the top of the recommended vendors list. Big Daddy Sean had been the DJ at my older sister’s wedding and had gotten every guest out of their chairs and onto the dance floor. This was exactly what I envisioned for my own wedding and I knew that he was the guy to get that job done. Throughout the entire process, he was always available to talk to me if I had any questions. Paul worked our wedding on 10/4/2020 and we had a BLAST! We had some phone calls with him early on and got access to the online request system right away. Paul has great energy, and he is friendly and professional. He's got great communication and walked us through the music for our ceremony and reception. He kept our guests on the dance floor by playing great music all night long. Paul helped make our wedding perfect!

Wow! Who do you call when the DJ you personally retained in June sends you an email ten days before the wedding and tells you -- not asks you -- that he is sending some random person to DJ the most important event thus far in your son's wedding: James Daniel Entertainment A/V & Event Lighting - Paul Lacano <paul@jamesdaniel.com. Nico came through -- music was great for ceremony and party. The crowd was hopping and it wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear the person next to you. Nico is a master! Paul Lacano .. coordinator.. a rescuer. It was as if they didn't miss a beat even though they had a week to put this together. Do not pass go, do not bother with any other company -- these people are professional, reliable and all around fantastic!

Jimmy was awesome! We had so much fun at our wedding and the fact that everyone was up dancing all night really knocked it out of the park for us. We had so many people say that they had never been to a wedding where the entire dance floor was full the majority of the evening. Jimmy really was amazing to work with during the event. We even had some unplanned karaoke because my new husband insisted on having the microphone. :) Duke gives his regards. Big Daddy Sean was such an amazing DJ and kept the dance floor alive all night long. I had been to previous weddings that he was a DJ for and knew that he was an expert at keeping the night exciting and fun. He did not let us down one bit and made sure we understood what was going on at each moment and re-assured us time and time again that everything was going to run smoothly. He accommodated our last minute requests and was extremely complimentary of our wedding. I couldn't have had a better experience and he really made our night one we will never forget!

Big Daddy Sean McKee was a phenomenal DJ! He got everyone up on the dance floor throughout the reception and really got the party going right from the beginning. Our guests had so much fun and they all keep telling us how great our dj was. He even sang a few of the songs and I was floored with how good he was! All of our song requests were played, I didn't hear a single song on the do not play list", and he had a great selection of songs to play throughout the night. We had asked for the Tarantella to be played (an Italian tradition) and he made it happen! Do not look for any other dj for your wedding, Big Daddy was the best!

Most of the compliments we have received about our wedding day have been pointed towards our INCREDIBLE DJ, Big Daddy!! Big Daddy listened to every single detail I had mapped out for him, and brought them to life. He knew how to get the crowd up and dancing between courses, and even SANG for the crowd! My musical theatre friends were extremely impressed with his vocals! One of my other favorite moments, is when I realized that Big Daddy was playing the Greatest Showman during our cocktail hour, knowing we loved the musical based off our first dance. If you want a DJ who gets to know you, your taste in music, gets all your guests up and moving, and surprises the crowd with an amazing voice, Big Daddy is the DJ for you!

If you want a PARTY, James Daniel will bring it!!! Your guests will only ever remember the food, alcohol, and music - and our guests are still talking about how Jimmy played an awesome mix for all ages and ensured that the dance floor was packed all night! Jimmy even heeded our request for no line dances, so much so that he "stood up to" the mother of the bride! That's a brave DJ! He also did a great job MCing and keeping everything moving. Leading up to the wedding, he took the time to talk often with my husband and me, to get to know us, and really put us at ease. We have been to many weddings, and some with James Daniel DJs, and there is NO comparison!!! My only little notes were that you need to be VERY specific about ALL your needs, and Jimmy will heed them: for example, we requested some standard country songs, and Jimmy played all the country songs almost immediately at the reception, all in rapid succession (usually they're best a little later in the evening, and not all together!); he also ended the night with "Proud to Be An American" for no discernible reason, much to the chagrin of my husband and me (instead of something like "Friends in Low Places" or whatever). So, just be specific about your needs and he will do it!

Awesome music was a high priority for my husband and I - we could not have been more lucky to have Jimmy for our entire event! He kept the dance floor full and it was evident what a wonderful time all of our guests have! Do not hesitate to book Jimmy and his team!

There is NO question that DJ Big Daddy is THE best DJ anyone could ever have! He truly cares about his clients and wanting them (and their guests) to have the most amazing time at their event. Big Daddy had everyone on the dance floor from the start all the way until the last song! Sean “Big Daddy” is a complete LEGEND. He was a complete DREAM to work with and I’ve honestly met few people with his generous and loving spirit. A truly special person all across the board. Not to mention an incredible DJ/host for our wedding. Big Daddy kept in touch with me a year and a half before the wedding because I would harass him on a monthly basis with new concerns and worries I had. Big Daddy managed to talk me off the ledge before he ever met me. I consider myself blessed I got to have him for our wedding. Luckily I booked far in advance!

Big Daddy, the singing DJ, did a fantastic job at our wedding. First, Big Daddy is super professional. You can trust him to do a great job without the need to direct him. He knows what to do and when. Second, he knows how to mix different genres together. Before the event he asked for 10 songs. We provided him 10 songs but made it difficult by giving him many different genres (classics, pop, salsa, 80s, romantic, electronic). He made it work! All our guest loved him and were most impressed with his voice and that he sung some of the songs. Big Daddy played a major role in making our wedding perfect.

I had heard about Sean Big Daddy from some friends and I have to say I was astounded with his service. First off, he was incredibly polite and excited to be a part of our big day from the minute I contacted him. From there every correspondence and all the planning went super smooth. He even met with me to get a copy of the song I wrote for "the first dance". Now flash to the day of our wedding, he showed up with true excitement and skill. From the moment he set up his equipment, the music selection was perfect. He was able to play the music requests I asked both for the ceremony and the reception. Personally I like Christian music and he made it seemlessly coincide with all the other dance music. He was even able to switch the way my bridal party did introductions completely last minute. On top of that, he even sang songs during our event. I got so many compliments on his skill, voice, and ability to get everyone dancing all night long. Book now! Picking a DJ for your wedding is critical and can either make or break a good time! Sean, aka "Big Daddy", was unbelievable. He knew how to read a crowd, get everyone up and dancing, and he even sang a few songs where the guests thought Billy Joel himself was performing! Many of our guests commented on how awesome he was and questioned if we knew him prior to our wedding because they said he felt like part of the family. The professionalism he showed was great, our ceremony was on point, and we really enjoyed ourselves all night long! The website where we uploaded all desireable details was easy to use. James Daniel was the best DJ we could have asked for at our recent wedding. He worked seamlessly with our vendor, played all our songs, and had everyone on the dance floor the entire night. Throughout the process he was nothing but nice and helpful. Highly recommend. He made our wedding great!

Paul was our DJ extraordinaire at our wedding and we could not have been happier! He took the time to meet with us a couple weeks before the wedding, understood our 'vision' and executed on the feel we were hoping for perfectly! He paid careful attention to what we had on our 'wish list' and kept the dance floor hopping! When I think of the night, I see the smiles on the faces of so many friends and family as they danced ALL NIGHT! Paul will listen and create exactly what you're hoping for with your music!

Where to begin... First the DJ messed up the first dance song. When the bride and groom were at position they looked over at the DJ and he just kind of gave them a confused look... turns out he didn't have the song list with him and decided to wait until the first dance to let the bride know that. For the rest of the night he played random songs and a few that were on the bride's DO NOT PLAY list. No one wants to do the electric slide at the wedding anymore. But thanks to the DJ we were all forced to bring it back now y'all. The only reason the music wasn't a total disaster is because one of our friends took over for the DJ and literally held his had through out the rest of the evening instructing him on what songs to play. Understandably, the bride and groom has asked for their money back. The company has refused and is holding the pictures from the Photo Booth hostage.

Please do NOT hire James Daniel Entertainment for any of their services. They are the most unprofessional, disrespectful company I have ever worked with in my life. To start with the DJ for our wedding FORGOT OUR MUSIC which resulted in long awkward silences, messing up our first dance song, completely ignoring how everything was scheduled and playing little to none of the songs we had spent hours picking. The only reason the night was salvageable was when a friend and wedding guest took over the music for the DJ. When we called the company to explain the horrendous evening their company was responsible for we got push back, were called ‘looney' and ‘unreasonable' and the owner defended his DJ and called what had happened a ‘bummer’. Well that ‘bummer’ was something that ruined our wedding. DJs bring people together and make a happy time even happier. they should not be responsible for wedding guests telling you they cannot believe how well you are staying composed and how they would be hiding in the bathroom crying if this was their wedding. Finally, we had a photo booth. there were a number of problems with this but the biggest was they failed to provide a photo book, which had been confirmed multiple times. This photo book they did not provide was supposed to be our guest book. so due to this we do not have a guestbook for our wedding. They were also supposed to dropbox the photos to us so we could share them on social media. Due to us not liking the service and writing a bad review they are refusing to send us our photos until we take the original review down. As the bride of a wedding that I can never redo I am heartbroken over what happened at my wedding but I am devastated with the disrespect and unprofessionalism I received from this company. Please save yourself the pain I am in and do not work with this company.

Would NOT recommend. They ruined my sister’s wedding by messing up the music for the first dances. All the guests were confused and felt awkward. Additionally, they were very unprofessional and offensive with how they handled the issues. The boss was virtually impossible to get ahold of.

After being deployed twice in under two years, it is a challenge to schedule a proper wedding which was important for my wife and I. We were referred to James Daniel Entertainment with very high expectations in hopes that they would help make this important day to us one to remember for a lifetime. They did just that, except in the wrong way. Two minutes before introductions, the DJ told us that he did not have the songs for our first dance, the daughter father dance, nor the mother son dance. The DJ could not mix music, which resulted in multiple awkward silences, and he did not play the types and genres of music requested. Also nothing that we scheduled on the itinerary that we provided was complied with. With this disaster, one of our friends who was a DJ in college had to take over from the DJ provided and only then did people start dancing. The photo booth was a disaster. The company promised my wife a guest book that we could pictures in. This did not happen and now my wife and I don't have a guest book for our wedding. The individual working the photo booth was not inviting or advertising the photo booth and instead just sat in a chair to the side of it. This also resulted in many of our guests not being aware that we even had a photo booth. In an attempt for James Daniel Entertainment to rectify this situation by some sort of financial refund, we were told that asking for even half of it back was unreasonable after ruining one of the most special days in my life as well as my wife's.

We got married on 8/25/18 and hired Big Daddy for our DJ and he was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I called him to inquire about services he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and wanting to hear about me and my fiancé (now husband!) and our dream for music at our wedding (and even just our dreams in general!). After booking, if I had any questions or concerns he would respond to me within literally seconds (!!) with ideas and suggestions. He made sure to listen and incorporate all my requests and even if I couldn't think of an idea for a certain song, I trusted his judgement and he nailed it! My guests LOVED him!! He really got the party started and got my guests dancing and having an amazing time. Big daddy made sure to get every one involved through fun games and activities which was unlike any other wedding I have ever been to and really got everyone up and moving! He surprised everyone by singing and we were all in AWE, his voice is truly amazing. I danced the night away and had the BEST time at my wedding thanks to Big Daddy. The Photo Booth was also awesome and my guests couldn't get enough of taking pictures! I was also given an album of all the Photo Booth pictures afterward which was a really nice touch. THANK YOU BIG DADDY AND JAMES DANIEL!!!!

Jimmy Romaniello was our DJ for our wedding on July 7, 2018. We had a great experience with James Daniel Entertainment. Jimmy and Sean McKee were very professional and responsive throughout the whole process. Sean worked with me and made it easy for me to use their website to submit our requests and our playlists. Jimmy has a great personality. Everyone said our wedding was so much fun from the beginning of the reception until the end. Jimmy played our songs that we requested from on our playlists and made all our wedding announcements. We were also very satisfied with the up lighting. Sean "Big Daddy" was the DJ for my son's wedding at the Waterview on July 6th. Apart from being one of the nicest, most generous individuals you will meet; his experience as a DJ is unparalleled. From the minute the bridal couple were announced until the last dance, there was not a time where the dance floor was empty. We heard of Big Daddy because he played at my cousins wedding & the one thing that my husband wouldn't budge on was wanting Big Daddy as our DJ (not like I would want anyone else anyway!). There are no words to thank Big Daddy for how awesome he made our night! We are still getting compliments a week later on how awesome he was. We also had a photo booth & his attendant John handled that. My younger nieces were in it almost all night & he helped them with everything they needed. He was so nice to them & everyone else. There is no need to look any further for any kind of even you want a DJ for because all you need is Big Daddy!!!! If we ever have a party where we would need a DJ there is no doubt who would we would go to!

My husband and I got married this past September and Sean "Big Daddy" McKee was hands down the BEST! We had heard so many amazing things about him already - he exceeded it all! We are still hearing today, 3 months later, how awesome he was and how it was the best wedding any of our guests had been too. It was all because of him! If you're getting married or have any other DJ needs, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Big Daddy!

We had Paul Lacano as our DJ for our September wedding and he kept the party going all night! He was super enthusiastic and excited throughout the whole night, yet kept me on top of my schedule (cutting the cake, father/daughter dance, etc.). He had great timing and played all the music we had requested. James Daniel has a portal where you go in and pick the songs you want and create a timeline with announcements. It was so easy to use and I knew everything would run smoothly with him as the DJ!

We had Paul Lacano from James Daniel Entertainment for our DJ at our Waveny House Wedding in New Canaan. First I must say, Paul knows Waveny like no other, he knows the set up, where to have things and just has the system down in that venue! He was also very professional through the whole process. As for the music, we got so many compliments on the music selection and volume... it worked for both the old and the young. He kept the dinner and cocktail tunes classy and in step with what the older crowd would want and then switched to the more modern music for dancing after dinner to please the younger crowd. My uncle and the priest complimented us on the choice of using some of the older songs for “us older people”, and both my uncle and one of my father's business partners complimented us on how the volume was just right - with one of them indicating that they have a friend that will bring ear plugs to receptions because it can get that bad but how ours was just right, and then I also had a bunch of my friends come up to me and say what a hoot it was to have some of those old hits from our middle school days.
