James Mahler Music

We got married 3 years ago and our friends and family STILL talk about how much they loved the violinist at our wedding! I met James at the Austin Bridal Extravaganza. I was not looking for a musician that day; however, I heard James playing the second that I walked in the door and I was brought to tears - it was so beautiful. I immediately booked him for our ceremony and cocktail hour. My husband met him on the day of our wedding and his only complaint is that he didn't get to hear him play enough! We loved that he played familiar songs in a way that no one had heard before. He was also just wonderful to work with from the very beginning. Highly, highly recommend you hire him for your wedding day! Seriously - do it. You won't regret it.

James was truly the most perfect edition to our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Honestly it all felt so magical to be in such a beautiful place with the music to match. We hardly had to do anything for James, he just made a few request for the ceremony songs and took the lead from there! We still till this day have so many friends and family that recall the cocktail hour and what a show he put on! If you are looking for the perfect sound to really round out and make your wedding unforgettable he is your man!

Absolutely loves James Mahler!! My parents actually found him playing at a bar/lounge and asked him about doing a wedding. He agreed, very punctual in email, easy to work with, and last of all made my life easier! I have sisters and we have been to and have had a few wedding I have never had so many guest compliment the performer at cocktail hour!! Even asking/telling me weeks later they loved him. His talent is amazing, but everyone loved how he walked around and played interacting with guests! 10000% would hire again!

James was absolutely amazing! Our wedding planner (FunkyTownAffairs) recommended him and he was worth every penny! He has a truly unique flair and his music brings such a wonderful ambiance to any wedding. I only wish our intimate wedding was longer so that I could have listened to him longer! We had a small wedding due to COVID and still hope to have a big reception and I will find room for James in the budget. Our guests loved him too!

James was our DJ & Violinist at our February wedding. He was amazing! I originally didn't want a violinist but then I heard James at not 1, but 2 of my best friends weddings and he won me over (aka.. I had to have him and found the budget for it). Attendees of our wedding told us he brought them to tears. People still talk about his playing - he left a lasting impression. He was also our DJ and did a great job. People were on the dance floor all night which is all we wanted! The services he provided were worth every single penny.

James was THE BEST part of my wedding. I couldn't have found a better DJ or violinist. My husband and I met up with James and had super specific and weird request, at which James was more than happy to accommodate too. He was funny, charming, and very talented! So we found James by actually attending another friends wedding, my fiancé at the time (now husband) and I were OBSESSED with the vibe and the sound of James playing the violin and ukulele pre/post ceremony. We had so much fun sitting there listening to him, and I immediately got his card before entering the reception. Fast forward 1.5 years and I’m now deep into planning my own wedding. I contacted James (which I’m amazed I hung onto his card for that long but that’s how important having him there was to me) and we chatted about what I was looking for and that’s when James mentioned he was also able to DJ if we needed complete music services and we did. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical because I had only ever heard him on his instruments, not handling a crowd and a big dance party but nonetheless we decided to give him a shot and WE DO NOT REGRET IT. Our guests RAVED about him. He did our ceremony (threw him a bunch of songs not originally on his list that I wanted and he nailed them all), and for our cocktail hour we decided to go with a more pop vibe on violin. It was SO MUCH FUN and we got to attend our own cocktail hour and enjoy it too. (We planned this with photography so we could listen to James hahahaha) As a DJ and MC, James also nailed it and the crowd was engaged. Everyone was dancing and signing the whole night. We truly had a blast and believe James had a large part in making this such a success! I am 100% confident you will not regret it if you hire James for any/all of your music services!

Where do I even begin with James. Ok, I’ll try to keep this “dream come true” of a story short... I discovered this brilliant and talented violinist playing in 2014 at the Southlake Town Square while I was having dinner with my mother. My current status being entirely single... I still swore to my mother that this man would be playing at my wedding - leaving us laughing that I found the musician, yet needed to still find my groom. 6 years later, I fell in love and found my groom. After I got engaged, I searched and searched for James and luckily found him again... and discovered a BONUS that he’s also a DJ now too! I cannot even articulate the incredible talent of this guy, but I can tell you it was so special and such an honor to have him play and DJ at our wedding. Our wedding guest were all blown away starting from pre-ceremony to cocktail hour, and throughout our reception. James is a brilliant violinist and craft of a DJ. I would recommend him to anyone for ANY event. My husband and I are already trying to think of an event we can host just to hire him again! Thank you, James!!!
