Not only is his professionalism and eye for detail exceptional, he actually had me enjoying getting my picture taken, which is a feat in itself. Yes, I had my beautiful wife next to me and possibly a shot of whiskey for the nerves but James made us feel like family which was calming. Made us feel like we were in our own world. This is KEY when you have a wedding of 250+ people, it can be hectic and overwhelming at times. Hell, he even made me look good and I am not photogenic! Needless to say, we will never forget the moments when it was just us, on our big day, getting our photo taken by James, even on a day that still feels like a blur. Thanks again buddy.

He was great at answering my questions that I had leading up to the photoshoot. His wife Caitlyn was also a knowledgeable photographer and they work well together. They gave very useful tips to help us look our best in our pictures. I had such a great experience and I felt beautiful. James went above and beyond for us and our photos came out beautiful. as could be. Fast forward to the wedding day, him and his team showed up and began to work immediately. They instantly were able to make everyone feel at ease and have fun! My favorite thing though are there are so MANY CANDIDS. This was something we stressed to James in our initial meeting that we LOVE candid photos and are super awkward in front of the camera. He immediately made us feel at ease and the photos came out beautifully! One photo in particular though during our reception he too was a photo of my grandparents who were dancing and my grandmother had the biggest smile on her face. I'm so grateful to him for capturing this moment. We are absolutely in love with our wedding images and couldn't imagine having shared our day and have it captured by anyone but James and his team. My husband and I initially met with them at their studio and it quickly became clear that this was not only a job for the two of them, but their passion. They went in depth to explain to us the process of choosing a wedding album that was right for us, while also asking detailed questions in regards to what we were looking for out of the experience. Overall, we could not have made a better choice when we chose James Minns Photography. I can honestly say over a year later, James and Caitlyn are no longer our “wedding photographers” but our friends. They even made a special trip to Miami for me in order to shoot a boudoir session as a surprise gift to my husband on our wedding day. James and Caitlyn made a situation (which was clearly not the most comfortable) into an amazing experience and the photos could not have turned out more beautifully. After finalizing the boudoir album with James, I had no doubts that we had chosen the right company. On our wedding day, they coordinated photos of us as well as our family members / friends and captured moments that we will never forget. They made it so easy that it felt like we were hanging out with friends that just so happen to be taking pictures with fancy cameras in weird angles. They were very open to our wants and had many ideas I would have never thought of. They are not afraid of a challenge, or to go outside of their comfort zone to get the perfect shot (we learned this by dragging them out on our boat all day for our engagement session, and making them fight through swarms of mosquitoes on remote South Florida islands - - sorry guys!) They took time to scout our locations and get ideas before our events, and were really great with our wedding party and guests. James’ pricing and packages are reasonable (and our album was included!), and he’s extremely responsive to emails, texts and calls. He is a true artist. I am thrilled to get to look back at his work for the rest of my life.
