utely delicious! And to this day, we still have friends and family tell us just how delicious our cake was! When I was first looking for someone to make our cake, I looked in many catalogs. At the time, the knot was definitely on my list to check out. There were quite a few wedding cake makers here in the Columbus region, but one specifically in our town, so I decided to give her a call. Jan was so kind. She provided me with coffee from her French Press and plenty of samples. They were all so delicious. So much more moist than any other cake that I had tasted at a wedding. I kind of assumed at the time, that her samples were better because they hadn’t been sitting in a large cake for awhile losing moisture, or some other reason. *Hint - I was proven wrong on our wedding day and our cake was still as luscious and delicious as her samples were! I had two other cake makers that I wanted to still check out so I kept my appointments with them, just to see. The others made beautiful cakes as well and provided samples. They were indeed good, but honestly, really not as good as Jan’s. Then a week or so later, we ran into Jan at the Diamond Cellar’s Engagement & Wedding event! My fiancé got the chance to really try all of her flavors and he fell in love as well. That, and Jan was super kind and considerate. She didn’t pressure me at all. We then decided that Jan Kish La Petite Fleur was the cake maker for us! The cake was amazing. It was four tiered and covered in beautiful fondant with flowers and a signature H emblem in gold. Everyone at our wedding told us over and over how great the cake was. The buttercream was amazing as well. We could not have asked for a more beautiful or delicious cake! To this day, we would still highly recommend Jan Kish La Petite Fleur! I know that there are so many things that we need to figure out for our special day - let this decision be an easy one for you, choose Jan. Rebecca H.

willingness to think outside the box, especially with the groom's cakes was awesome. My husband is a pilot and flight instructor and we chose several instrument images which she translated to the tops of cupcakes using fondant icing. We also chose to freeze the top of our wedding cake and saved it for our 1 year anniversary. We had white cake lemon cake, and the top was red velvet which is now a family favorite. If you want a cake that will be a standout then you can't go wrong with Jan Kish and La Petite Fleur.

Picking flavors will be the hardest part of your decision because her samples will blow you away and make it so hard to chose! I love Jan, I strongly recommend her. She was so kind, attentive, and detailed and really made our vision come to life in the most unique way. Also, we froze some of the cake as tradition goes…two months later got a piece out and it’s still moist as can be, it will be hard to wait until our year anniversary to finish the rest!

She made my wedding cake which was a rolled foundant decorated with the lace to match my wedding gown and catered my wedding dinner which the food was amazing and her catering staff were courteous and helpful and my guest to this day are complementing Jan Kish and all she did for us to make our day special and this was by far the best wedding we have ever attended!!!

She was knowledgeable about what would taste nice with what, but allowed us the creativity to decide. She was also very flexible to having multiple flavors for our wedding cake. For our wedding weekend, we chose a lemon cake with exposed sides for the welcome dinner, 3 flavors for our wedding reception, and sugar cookies as party favors. She took the invite and save-the-date as inspiration for the oceanic colors for the wedding night sweets. Since then, we enjoyed our anniversary tier a year later and it still tasted great! I’ve also ordered another cake from her for a smaller celebration because we were so impressed with everything she’s made.

Additionally, she worked closely with our florist to incorporate the same fresh flowers in the cake that were used in the wedding bouquets. Despite the distance, she traveled 30 miles to assemble our cake. Years later and back in the Columbus area, I continue to order her delicious cakes for special occasions. After making the spectacular cake for my husband's 40th birthday, we received a handwritten note from Jan herself wishing my husband a happy birthday. Fast forward to my husband's 50th birthday, she helped me create a cake that resembled a poker chip. Her wonderful cakes, creativity and personal touch are what keeps me coming back.

s a small informal affair with boxed “lunches”. The cupcakes were the perfect touch. And they tasted a good as they looked. The small anniversary cake was really pretty but the couple chose to eat cupcakes then and freeze the cake for next year. A perfect ending to a perfect day.

at everyone we could find but the cakes were typically designed or decorated with more of the bride in mind. Jan had come highly recommended from others and when we met with her she had several ideas for us to consider. We had found a design online that we really thought spoke to what we wanted as a male couple; it was certainly a wedding cake, it was beautifully decorated with a fall-like theme in colors and sensibility and it looked like a cake we would be thrilled to have as our own. I was honestly apprehensive that anyone could re-create this amazing cake but Jan said she could do it and I put my trust in her. On the day she called us to see the finished cake I was speechless (no small feat!) It was absolutely perfect! She had handcrafted leaves, fall foliage, acorns and berries all out of Royal icing. They were stunningly beautiful! I wish I could post a photo! We were able to have the top removed and we’re able to keep them - we still enjoy having them in our home! In addition, she presented us with a small ‘midnight cake’ that matched our larger cake; this was for the two of us to share after the wedding. She also gave us a small boxful of additional royal icing leaves and acorns that she had made but hadn’t used. We gave these to family and friends as small tokens that they adored. The cake had multiple layers and two of Jan’s signature flavors and everyone who saw it and tasted it was delighted and impressed by it. Jan is a true artist and sweet lady to work with. Put your trust in Jan – you’ll be thrilled that you did!

a sword!!! We had to reschedule due to Covid and our guest list was much smaller than planned for the final wedding date but she was very accommodating. The cake was GORGEOUS and delicious plus the sabering was amazing. I highly recommend adding that service to bring your wedding up 100 notches!!

We had three differnt flavors in three different layers and all were wonderful! In addition to the cake, we also had Jan saber champagne at our wedding. It was one of the highlights for our guests! People are still talking about it a few weeks later.
