was our dream wedding venue in the heart of the Milwaukee East Side neighborhood with beautiful views of the city and lake, fully indoors with a large balcony. We fell in love at first sight and having it as a Saz's catering venue added to it knowing we'd have great food and beverage service. Katie was our event coordinator and she was extremely professional and accommodating to our vision, last minute changes, and answering any questions we had. Thank you so much for all your help! We had the best wedding reception we could ask for.

leviate a lot of common stressors that come with planning a wedding. -The food was fantastic - everyone mentioned what a huge hit it was! -the balcony was gorgeous and most guests spent majority of their time there! -Saz's catering was amazing, organized, professional, and kind -the pictures that we took and have received so far have been so gorgeous with the backdrop here are some things to consider if you think this is the right venue for you -you will not be able to hear music from the balcony, I do think that if you want a more dance oriented reception to pick this venue on colder months so that guests aren't distracted by the beauty of the balcony -the string lights or any of the lights in pictures come with a surcharge of at least 1K (factor that into your budget) -you will need to set up and take down everything - but you really don't need much decor because the venue itself is so gorgeous -pictures before ceremony we used black cat alley which worked SO WELL! I'm not really sure where we could have taken pre-ceremony pictures around that area instead of Black Cat Alley

We HIGHLY recommend Jan Serr as a wedding venue!!! She was also great at connecting us with vendors and facilitating the delivery of certain rentals (i.e., the chandeliers and bar from Bartique).

tly. I have a big family and was looking to accommodate a wedding up to 300 people, and Jan Serr offered more than enough space. As they do many events beyond just weddings, they offer a lot of different style options for your event (though each decoration rental is a cost separate from the space rental). We worked mainly with Katie throughout the process, and she was incredibly responsive and incredibly kind. The only catering option is Saz's as the company owns the space. As a native Wisconsinite and former Wauwatosa resident, I was quite pleased with that - though it's absolutely not the bar food you're used to! They had many menu options and great packages to pair with alcohol at an affordable rate. We opted for the buffet option to allow flexibility with our guests, and there was more than enough to go around. Katie and her team even worked out individual vegan options for a couple of our guests. Instead of the traditional cake cutting, we opted for the ceremonial champagne pour (pictured) which was incredibly beautiful (though I would be wary if you are a bit clumsy like me, the tower is understandably precarious). It was a wonderful non-traditional option to have. We also rented the lower floor for our cocktail hour as the room was turned over for the ceremony. While Saz's team cannot guarantee who the artists in residence will be, we found it added another layer of flavor and fun to our wedding, and who doesn't want to walk around a gallery, cocktail glass in hand, in your best dress? Katie was not available for the day of our wedding and we had a substitute day of coordinator. She was very nice, but I will note she seemed a bit frazzled throughout the day - nothing at all went wrong, though! We had an EXCELLENT head of waitstaff who went out of her way to make the day feel extra special for us. Overall, I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding. Though Saz's is the only catering option, the catering menu is quite extensive and offers a lot of variety, including for dietary restrictions. My ONE regret is that we ordered the late night festival foods package and we were too busy dancing to enjoy any of the offerings! (Cost includes rental for cocktail hour, food, and drink packages, the space, and decorations)

food and service was great! They were quick to respond, flexible, and so helpful with everything during our planning process. My few negatives are VERY minor- the amount of prep time they give vendors is too short (only 2 hrs which is not a lot of time for unloading, set-up, and clean-up. My florist who has been in the business for 20+ years was surprised by the timeline.) There was an issue with the late night snacks- we did the Saz’s famous platter and the food didn’t all come out at the same time (I think the mozz sticks were weren’t ready and came out late so less were eaten and people didn’t realize more snacks had been put out. Again not a big deal but wanted to mention.) Lastly, they kept the lights on during dancing until aroun 9:30-10 when I got a few comments so I went to the staff to ask them to turn them down - just wish I as the bride wasn’t the one who had to bring this to their attention. Overall, we highly recommend Jan Serr and throughly enjoyed our wedding but wanted to bring a few minor things to attention.

The bartenders were AWESOME and we have gotten so many compliments on them from our guests. The space is incredible and with their string lights and the GIANT windows it made the night feel magical. We would 100% do it all again, and I will be recommending them to friends and family.

nue, but were in awe of the spectacular balcony views during golden hour and view of the Milwaukee skyline during dinner/dancing. Our biggest concern with this east side venue was the parking availability, but our guests were satisfied with either the available spots in the attached parking structure or street parking. The service was incredible and we have no complaints about Jan Serr. All of our photos turned out amazing in the space and we will forever cherish those memories. It is truly a hidden gem on the east side of Milwaukee!
