Jana Blue Photography

se. It was like having a friend take our photos, but with way more talent and expertise. One thing that made our day and that we still laugh about month's later was Jana's assertiveness when getting our family together for portraits. We all know how challenging it can be to wrangle family members and get them to cooperate for group photos, but Jana took charge in the best way. Her professionalism, vision, and assertiveness was matched only by her sense of humor, which had everyone laughing and enjoying themselves at every step of the way. Jana's eye for detail is truly remarkable. She captured every moment, every glance, every laugh, and every tear with such artistry and skill. Looking through the photos she took, I felt like I was reliving the day all over again. Not only is she an amazing photographer, but an amazing listener as well. She took the time to understand our vision for the day and made it happen. I highly recommend Jana to anyone looking for a wedding photographer who is not only incredibly talented but also an absolute joy to work with. Thank you, Jana, for making our special day even more unforgettable!!

lways there when we needed anything, even if we just wanted some ideas for the wedding that weren't photography-related. She helped us find the best florist who made beautiful arrangements and centerpieces. Jana has officially become our go-to photographer for all future photography needs! We know she takes beautiful baby pictures too! Additionally, we want to give a shout-out to Jana's second shooter, Gail. She was super fun to work with on our wedding day and was very helpful with the guys! We have such vivid memories of Jana's laughter while she posed us - it was such a joy! Do yourself a favor and hire Jana Blue Photography. You won't regret it!

band and I had never been photographed before, so we were a little goofy & awkward--but Jana got us in the groove, and the result was everything we could have wanted. Jana feels like a close friend and will treat you as such. She made us feel comfortable and helped us a lot throughout the day (with things that didn't even involve photos!). Jana is very creative and has a great eye. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

ite drew me in instantly; her aesthetic is so beautiful and dreamy. Her bio reads like poetry, and she's Brazilian, which feels to me like home since my best friend (and bridesman) is Brazilian. In just a few moments, I knew she had to be ours! The pictures she has showcased on her website were exactly what we were looking for. When we finally booked, she already had another event, but she promised that her associates would take good care of us. My husband and I live on the West Coast, so we met with Jana and her team several times to discuss our vision and meet the crew. She sent very detailed forms for us to fill out so she and her team could get to know us better. From the get, we felt so taken care of. Jana is so warm and sweet. She took the time to meet me and my husband at our rehearsal dinner since she wasn't able to photograph us on our wedding day. It was like meeting with an old friend! My bridesman and Jana, having never met, spoke Portuguese together and laughed and hugged. Her energy was exactly what I needed to calm my pre-wedding nerves. On the day of the wedding, her associates Joaquin and Nick, came to my wedding suite and were so calm and professional amongst the madness that was my whole family. They were dressed nicely and were such gentlemen. They were punctual, knew what shots they wanted, directed me and my group, and always had an eye on the time. At one point when I was feeling frazzled, Joaquin quietly reassured me that we were OK on time and everything was going according to plan. Cassie took photographs at my husband's parents' home, and worked nicely with his big family in the short half hour that was allotted for her. Everything on our wish list was granted. We got married in a Greek Orthodox church, and talked beforehand about the layout of the church and where the crew would be standing. After the ceremony, the crew was extremely punctual about our family portraits and went down the list that we provided them. I think we finished early! That allowed some time for the crew to do bride/groom photographs outside of the church (we didn't ask for it), and we are so glad they suggested that. Those photographs look so beautiful. At the reception we had one photographer and one videographer. Before we knew it, dinner was over and they said goodbye to us both, hugging us and wishing us well. Having them photograph us all day was such an intimate experience, it felt like we made new friends. Then, our wedding video came. It blew us away. We have probably watched it 500 times already. Jana asked us what photos we were eager to see in our gallery while she and team worked on editing them. We were able to choose which moments we wanted to see first. We have no complaints. Jana Blue Photography is a well-oiled team. She has fantastic rate and a professional and talented crew. She is quick to respond, speaks from the heart, loves what she does, and has an eye of an artist. We are determined to use her services again for future events. We love you, Jana Blue! Thanks to you and your team for taking such good care of us and for exceeding our expectations.

on the day she was on time and jumped right into action! She was always finding great ways to get the best shot and she had such a fun way of bringing out the silliness in my husband and me. She delivered the photos to us earlier than expected and our expectations were exceeded! I cannot recommend her services enough. She is an honest, hardworking, sweeter than honey, gifted photographer who cares so much about making your day last for a life time. We love you Jana!!!

ything like the other 2 shoots, I know they will be absolutely beautiful. Keep in mind that your wedding photographers are on a TIGHT timeline to keep your day running smoothly. With that being said, Jana helps you create a very realistic wedding timeline for your special day. She moves quick and really tries to stay within the timeline that was created. While things may seem hectic at times, she schedules in downtime for the bride so you dont get too overwhelmed. I was appreciative of this. Jana truly has a talent for capturing images and the love that two people share. Highly recommend!

couples - even when she isn’t even shooting the wedding! She accommodated our budget by having us use her associate, Rachel and Nick. And WHAT an amazing choice! Rachel is a calming presence and she really knows what she’s doing! She was there with me through the entire day supporting us. We love Rachel, Nick and the whole staff at Jana Blue Photography!

only have one word, WOW!! Jana has the most amazing reputation and she certainly lives up to it. On the day… There were so many comments from guests and the bridal party about her ability to make everyone feel comfortable, while also taking charge gently but effectively. (We had a big bridal party and she kept us moving). Jana was exactly what I needed when my nerves kicked in and she was able to get my kids smiling and laughing at the camera. She is so talented. We couldn’t be happier. She captured so many special moments and they tell the story of the day perfectly. We will be forever grateful for her wonderful work! She’s so professional and such a lovely person and made our day one to remember. Thank you Jana Blue!!

e to not have a good time with her! I 100% would hire her again to photograph my wedding that was on 9/17/22.

ents to, they all have RAVED about Jana. On 9/17/22 we where honored to have Jana capture the memories of my sons wedding. From the engagement pics to the wedding day she was a "10" Thank you Jana for your talent we will have the memories forever thanks to you! Book Jana Blue she is the Best of the Best!

Jana is not only creating a friendship, but creating art and lasting memories. I am so grateful to have met Jana and hired her for my elopement, everyone who attended loved her energy and her work. I've seen her work when she travels for weddings, big and small, all seasons and countries - and it's never short of breathtaking. Even for my small elopement, she put the same level of time and care into planning it to perfection that I've seen her put into her other full sized weddings. Her prices are below what she's worth, in my opinion, there's no question if you need a wedding photographer - she is the artist for you.

ocations across Chicago in such a beautiful way! We felt very taken care of by Jana and her team and cannot recommend her enough. Not only does she listen to her couples, she also provides confidence and mastery which makes you feel like getting your photos taken should be part of your everyday life. Thank you Jana - we will hold on to these photos dearly forever! Maria and De'Sean

na would have done a phenomenal job. She went out of her way to create a package proposal that fit our budget and our needs, as well as discussing how she would approach our wedding specifically. Jana is extremely professional and experienced, with an artistic approach. And she is so friendly and easy to talk to. If you love Jana's style, I highly recommend booking her!

an outfit after I sent her multiple dresses I tried on. I felt like I was more relaxed going into the session because of this. During the session, she was very professional but also just such a warm and positive person. I really really wish she was shooting our wedding. Leaving the session, I was actually sad because I felt as if we were good friends saying goodbye haha! If that's not a good sign, I don't know what is. Jana was very quick to get me my photo proofs and prints. Which are gorgeous and I'm obsessed. I cannot recommend her enough. Book her now !

tos turned out. Everything truly exceeded our expectations! From the time we reached out to Jana, she was so responsive and she took the time to truly get to know us. We were able to meet via Zoom before the session to make sure we were on the same page with everything that we had in mind for our photos. Jana did such a great job of capturing all of the small details and special moments of our wedding day. My husband and I are not very photogenic, but Jana made us both feel confident and comfortable throughout the photo session. We highly recommend Jana Blue Photography!!

et to know us. She made the entire process of taking pictures very comfortable and fun. Her calm and positive energy made a big difference on such an important day. She took very good care to learn of our dearest friends and family so that she could capture them. With Jana, we received so much more than a photographer. She is a true artist and it shows through her photos! She has a gift of capturing beautiful moments in such an artistic way. We received many compliments from friends and family about how friendly and professional she was. Jana went above and beyond to help create a special day for us. Our wedding truly would not have been the same without her. Thanks so much Jana!!

our wedding day with. My photos came back even better than I imagined. Not only that, I got a 1 minute highlight video for no extra charge, which I am so grateful to have! Her rates are very affordable compared to other highly talented photographers. I cannot wait to work with Jana again in the future <3

like something out of a bridal magazine. As a groom I loathe taking photos but Jana did a good job of making sure we were comfortable and laughing the whole time!! Thank you Blue.

eral. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

ing date, but our original photographer had to cancel because she was no longer in Illinois. Jana came to our rescue with just 2 weeks to go. She managed to take two people that don't generally enjoy being in front of the camera, along with some very vague ideas that we had regarding our vision, and turn them into photos that we're completely in love!! If my photography experience was this good during a pandemic, your normal wedding will be FANTASTIC with Jana Blue! Thank you Jana for giving us a day we will always remember.

e to begin my review back when I first met Jana two years ago, when I began the process of planning our wedding with my husband Josh. We had a huge priority when it came to the overall picture (pun intended) and we wanted and needed a great photographer. As I did research for photographers in the Dupage county area, I came across Jana Blue, and we both instantly had a fond for her work. It was different, full of emotions with a touch of modern inspiration and we were hooked. All we needed to do was meet the artist behind the photos. Meanwhile I met several photographers at a Bridal show and they all had different positive qualities, however nothing stood out to me, and none of their personalities screamed “spend the biggest day of your life with me capturing your every move”. But the moment I met Jana over a coffee I was mesmerized and had that “feeling”, similar to the one when you put on your wedding dress for the first time. Firstly, by her kindness and radiant personality - she is Brazilian and I still have memories of the way she laughs and I wanted to spend all day just chatting with her. After viewing her work further and getting to know her, we were in wedding photographer heaven. Every moment we were in front of the camera was natural because we were in the presence of one tiny fairy we now call “Friend”. If you’re interested in having a photographer who is attentive, detail oriented and has great values that are complemented by amazing qualities,Jana blue will be the one for you. We are so content and overjoyed with our image memories, we feel like God’s presence truly was a part of our day. Thank you Jana Blue, words will never be able to describe our true gratitude for you and your work!

my day is she captured images that told our love story. I saw my wedding video before my photos and was blown away. It literally brought tears to my husband and my eyes. Little did I know my images would be just as impactful. Jana far surpassed any expectation I had and I can't speak her praises enough. She's phenomenal!

ade the process so simple and fun. She helped us with the camera angles and had patience with our internet flaws. We left having had the best time. The pictures will be the memories for the upcoming moments that we are looking forward to in 2021! We could not recommend Jana's art more and we are so excited for our wedding with her.

and I have no words to measure what this session meant to us during this pandemic. It was the strongest connection and the moment of greatest peace that I felt during all this pressure of what to do with the ceremony and the party and the to do list of postponed the wedding. I really hope that our plans for the next year will work out and I have the wedding of my dreams with Jana Blue recording all the moments. For now Thank you so much for your kindness and spirit!!

ust I know her work is amazing. And, I can tell you that she is so very nice, professional, and flexible working with our special situation requiring 2 locations since we are having a destination wedding and a reception in my hometown. Jana was more than happy and helpful to accommodate our budget as well. We are so excited for our day.

ct beautiful memories, and has given me the opportunity to relive one of the happiest days of my life through the captured images. She is a passionate, dedicated artist, and I love her for that!

g records. I was going to get married in Brazil (now in 2020), so I booked the schedule with her. She would come to do both the preview and registration at the beauty salon and at the wedding ceremony. I had made contact with her and her feedback was immediate and the communication was amazing. She made me feel safe and very excited. More than that, I felt that she had a joy and a special view for such special records, not only for her technique and expressiveness, but also for the attention to details and the sense of art in her pics. My fiance and I were super excited about her coming to Brazil, to shot our wedding. However, our wedding plans have been completely changed by COVID-19. We had to postpone the party until 2020. My fiance and I were devastated. So, when making contact with her questioning about the conditions of the contract, she exceeded expectations and was super welcoming. I can even say that she gave back shine in our eyes, since we were upset with the situation of the pandemic and our marriage. With her empathy and care, she proposed to register our new home life and our first days as a couple, during the initial coexistence phase, before the official wedding. Thus, we made a remote photo session with all care and responsibility that moment required. But it all made the moment even more special, as my fiance and I felt that we were fulfilling the true essence of our marriage: love and the details of our home. The session was very happy and relaxed, she managed to get our best and we had a moment of lots of laughter and happiness. I feel it was special and I have no words to thank her for this unique and magical opportunity! We look forward to the party's records also being made by the professional, as well as those of the engagement phase. We feel it will be a great joy! Anyway, we are already very satisfied with her work, with the delicacy of the clicks and the preciousness of the work. It was an honor to be photographed by her.

dn't be more perfect! My husband and I have been waiting for this trip since last year, but with the pandemic, we were lost. We decided to travel anyway and at that moment I thought it would be impossible to find a photographer, but that's when Jana appeared in my life and I couldn't be more grateful! The session was incredible and she managed to portray my intimacy with my Andre very well. We're in love with the photos and every time we look we have the feeling of going back to that moment. Thank you so much for all the passion in your work, Jana!

and creates stunning photo stories while she is playing with the available light. She was able to capture every special moment (like the flight of the doves) that meant the world to us. If you're looking for authentic, emotional photography and appreciate artistic expression, I highly recommend you do what it takes to book Jana Blue for your wedding day.

photos from my engagement shoot with Jana Blue. She is the best and she is such a free spirit. She always made us laugh and feel super comfortable even when I was super nervous with this whole Covid situation. We both wish we could do it all over again just to have this experience with Jana.

ocess relaxed. Jana was always very quick to respond. We got married in Chicago, but we live overseas and Jana had no problem working through Skype and email to create our wedding day timeline and schedule. It was a beautiful day captured by her and I am forever grateful for the images she captured! Thank you Jana!!

os, and she was highly creative. My wedding was in the middle of august, very intimate, just for family and some best friends. She had shooting wonderful moments, conceptual, out of the ordinary pattern. she photographs with her soul. Highly recommended.

axed. She took pictures of every detail surrounding me and my husband that just an artistic and sensitive eye can see. Her customer service was remarkable, returned my emails very fast and answered all my questions. She is very professional and patient. Thank you so much Jana we loved every single image you took!

during the photo session, and also very clear in her contract, what is the first thing we check! We felt love and confidence from her and we loved our album! Thank you very muchhhhhh Jana Blue, here excited for the new born!! Cheers my love!

iori momenti del nostro matrimonio a Venezia.Lei è super obiettivo circa il contratto e i servizi forniti erano al di là delle mie aspettative. Un grosso bacio.

t punctuality, professionalism and cordiality. The event was a destination wedding and people’s expectations are bigger than an ordinary wedding. So Jana photographed all the rich images that appeared in every scene. Chicago was the chosen place to receive this gorgeous moment of my life and Jana got the essence of a charming city with tenderness of a wedding celebration. The contract was pretty clear and we didn’t have any disagreement. All the clauses were well discussed and I felt confident and Jana reliable. Be sure you won’t regret choosing her service.
