If you want photos with a heart & soul, this is your girl. Jana captured our day beautifully. When I look back at them, I can completely relive the day and all our emotions. My husband and I had never been photographed before, so we were a little goofy & awkward--but Jana got us in the groove, and the result was everything we could have wanted. Jana feels like a close friend and will treat you as such. She made us feel comfortable and helped us a lot throughout the day (with things that didn't even involve photos!). When we began researching professional wedding photographers in our area, it was important to us to find a women-owned business. My search led me to Jana Blue Photography. Her website drew me in instantly; her aesthetic is so beautiful and dreamy. Her bio reads like poetry, and she's Brazilian, which feels to me like home since my best friend (and bridesman) is Brazilian. In just a few moments, I knew she had to be ours! The pictures she has showcased on her website were exactly what we were looking for. When we finally booked, she already had another event, but she promised that her associates would take good care of us. My husband and I live on the West Coast, so we met with Jana and her team several times to discuss our vision and meet the crew. She sent very detailed forms for us to fill out so she and her team could get to know us better. From the get, we felt so taken care of. Jana is so warm and sweet. She took the time to meet me and my husband at our rehearsal dinner since she wasn't able to photograph us on our wedding day. It was like meeting with an old friend! My bridesman and Jana, having never met, spoke Portuguese together and laughed and hugged. Her energy was exactly what I needed to calm my pre-wedding nerves. On the day of the wedding, her associates Joaquin and Nick, came to my wedding suite and were so calm and professional amongst the madness that was my whole family. They were dressed nicely and were such gentlemen. They were punctual, knew what shots they wanted, directed me and my group, and always had an eye on the time. At one point when I was feeling frazzled, Joaquin quietly reassured me that we were OK on time and everything was going according to plan. Cassie took photographs at my husband's parents' home, and worked nicely with his big family in the short half hour that was allotted for her. Everything on our wish list was granted. We got married in a Greek Orthodox church, and talked beforehand about the layout of the church and where the crew would be standing. After the ceremony, the crew was extremely punctual about our family portraits and went down the list that we provided them. I think we finished early! That allowed some time for the crew to do bride/groom photographs outside of the church (we didn't ask for it), and we are so glad they suggested that. Those photographs look so beautiful. At the reception we had one photographer and one videographer. Before we knew it, dinner was over and they said goodbye to us both, hugging us and wishing us well. Having them photograph us all day was such an intimate experience, it felt like we made new friends. Then, our wedding video came. It blew us away. We have probably watched it 500 times already. Jana asked us what photos we were eager to see in our gallery while she and team worked on editing them. We were able to choose which moments we wanted to see first. We have no complaints. Jana Blue Photography is a well-oiled team. She has fantastic rate and a professional and talented crew. She is quick to respond, speaks from the heart, loves what she does, and has an eye of an artist. We are determined to use her services again for future events. We love you, Jana Blue! Jana Blue is the *BEST photographer and the *BEST person you could ever imagine to hope to find for your wedding. We did two video calls to make sure all our plans were set out and on the day she was on time and jumped right into action! She was always finding great ways to get the best shot and she had such a fun way of bringing out the silliness in my husband and me. She delivered the photos to us earlier than expected and our expectations were exceeded! I cannot recommend her services enough. Jana is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She did our engagement photos, boudoir photoshoot, and wedding photos. I have not seen the wedding photos yet but if they are anything like the other 2 shoots, I know they will be absolutely beautiful. Keep in mind that your wedding photographers are on a TIGHT timeline to keep your day running smoothly. With that being said, Jana helps you create a very realistic wedding timeline for your special day. She moves quick and really tries to stay within the timeline that was created. While things may seem hectic at times, she schedules in downtime for the bride so you dont get too overwhelmed. I was appreciative of this. Jana truly has a talent for capturing images and the love that two people share. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Jana Blue! Jana is very intentional throughout the planning process to make sure that she meets multiple times via Zoom with each one of the couples - even when she isn’t even shooting the wedding! She accommodated our budget by having us use her associate, Rachel and Nick. And WHAT an amazing choice! Rachel is a calming presence and she really knows what she’s doing! She was there with me through the entire day supporting us. We love Rachel, Nick and the whole staff at Jana Blue Photography!

We knew from the moment we got engaged that we wanted a specific type of photographer. We ultimately decided to book with someone else whose photography and editing style fit us a little better, but I have no doubt Jana would have done a phenomenal job. She went out of her way to create a package proposal that fit our budget and our needs, as well as discussing how she would approach our wedding specifically. Jana did my Fiancé & I's engagement photo session a few months ago. Prior to our session she answered all my silly/ridiculous questions and made me laugh!! She even helped me pick an outfit after I sent her multiple dresses I tried on. I felt like I was more relaxed going into the session because of this. During the session, she was very professional but also just such a warm and positive person. I really really wish she was shooting our wedding. Leaving the session, I was actually sad because I felt as if we were good friends saying goodbye haha! If that's not a good sign, I don't know what is. My husband and I reached out to Jana Blue Photography to take photos for our courthouse wedding ceremony and wedding reception. We were absolutely blown away by how amazing our photos turned out. I'm not normally one to write reviews, but I felt like I needed to make an exception for Jana Blue. Pandemic bride, here! My husband and I were determined to keep our original wedding date, but our original photographer had to cancel because she was no longer in Illinois. Jana came to our rescue with just 2 weeks to go. She managed to take two people that don't generally enjoy being in front of the camera, along with some very vague ideas that we had regarding our vision, and turn them into photos that we're completely in love!! As I write this review I feel such an honor to have the opportunity to rate Jana Blue Photography. To fully express the quality of Jana as an artist who brings a bride, I would have to begin my review back when I first met Jana two years ago, when I began the process of planning our wedding with my husband Josh. We had a huge priority when it came to the overall picture (pun intended) and we wanted and needed a great photographer. As I did research for photographers in the Dupage county area, I came across Jana Blue, and we both instantly had a fond for her work. It was different, full of emotions with a touch of modern inspiration and we were hooked. All we needed to do was meet the artist behind the photos. Meanwhile I met several photographers at a Bridal show and they all had different positive qualities, however nothing stood out to me, and none of their personalities screamed “spend the biggest day of your life with me capturing your every move”. But the moment I met Jana over a coffee I was mesmerized and had that “feeling”, similar to the one when you put on your wedding dress for the first time. Firstly, by her kindness and radiant personality - she is Brazilian and I still have memories of the way she laughs and I wanted to spend all day just chatting with her. After viewing her work further and getting to know her, we were in wedding photographer heaven. Every moment we were in front of the camera was natural because we were in the presence of one tiny fairy we now call “Friend”. Jana has a unique style and vision no one can compare to. She captures raw emotion, love, and tells the story through her images. What I most appreciate about having Jana document my day is she captured images that told our love story. I saw my wedding video before my photos and was blown away. We were able to take our engagement pictures with Jana through Skype virtual Session due to the Covid on Christmas Eve and she made the process so simple and fun. She helped us with the camera angles and had patience with our internet flaws. We left having had the best time. The pictures will be the memories for the upcoming moments that we are looking forward to in 2021! We could not recommend Jana's art more and we are so excited for our wedding with her.

I had my wedding canceled because of Covid and at the moment we are deciding whether to do an elopement or reschedule for the next year and Jana offered us a virtual photo session and I have no words to measure what this session meant to us during this pandemic. It was the strongest connection and the moment of greatest peace that I felt during all this pressure of what to do with the ceremony and the party and the to do list of postponed the wedding. My best friend talked about Jana Blue and I booked with her. My wedding will be on Summer 2021, so I have not worked with Jana Blue very much yet. I use to take some photos, and just I know her work is amazing. And, I can tell you that she is so very nice, professional, and flexible working with our special situation requiring 2 locations since we are having a destination wedding and a reception in my hometown. I have known Jana Blue's work through the appointment from a friend of mine (Katia). And, browsing by Jana website, I was totaly sure that I would like to have her making my wedding records. I was going to get married in Brazil (now in 2020), so I booked the schedule with her. She would come to do both the preview and registration at the beauty salon and at the wedding ceremony. I had made contact with her and her feedback was immediate and the communication was amazing. She made me feel safe and very excited. More than that, I felt that she had a joy and a special view for such special records, not only for her technique and expressiveness, but also for the attention to details and the sense of art in her pics. My fiance and I were super excited about her coming to Brazil, to shot our wedding. However, our wedding plans have been completely changed by COVID-19. We had to postpone the party until 2020. My fiance and I were devastated. So, when making contact with her questioning about the conditions of the contract, she exceeded expectations and was super welcoming. I can even say that she gave back shine in our eyes, since we were upset with the situation of the pandemic and our marriage. With her empathy and care, she proposed to register our new home life and our first days as a couple, during the initial coexistence phase, before the official wedding. Thus, we made a remote photo session with all care and responsibility that moment required. But it all made the moment even more special, as my fiance and I felt that we were fulfilling the true essence of our marriage: love and the details of our home. The session was very happy and relaxed, she managed to get our best and we had a moment of lots of laughter and happiness. I feel it was special and I have no words to thank her for this unique and magical opportunity! We look forward to the party's records also being made by the professional, as well as those of the engagement phase. We feel it will be a great joy! Anyway, we are already very satisfied with her work, with the delicacy of the clicks and the preciousness of the work. It was an honor to be photographed by her.

I met Jana through a friend, and it was the perfect moment, when I was looking for a photographer for my wedding that could capture all the feelings of the moment. The best ever photographer! I was recommended by a friend who asked for journalistic photos. Jana made a wonderful register of special moments of my wedding. She was faultless about punctuality, professionalism and cordiality. The event was a destination wedding and people’s expectations are bigger than an ordinary wedding. So Jana photographed all the rich images that appeared in every scene. Chicago was the chosen place to receive this gorgeous moment of my life and Jana got the essence of a charming city with tenderness of a wedding celebration.
