so many last minutes changes, bride will be stressed right before wedding. This was not expected from such a big group and they charged extra and refuse to give money back for services that was not provided. top of that they blocked you so you don’t get your money back. very unprofessional service

Loved loved loved!!!! Autumn did my hair and Amber did my makeup. My hair stayed all day and night and was beautiful! Autumn made sure I was happy with everything from the trial and changed the few things I wanted changed and it was absolutely gorgeous! Amber is amazing!!!! My makeup has and probably never will look as good as it did on my wedding day! She made sure to match my tan on my wedding day that I didn’t have on the trial day. We also had Maddie and Kayla doing makeup and everyone looked and felt great all day long. Communication was easy, all my emails were responded to very quickly and any questions or concerns I had were easily handled.

JanayBeauty did such an amazing job accommodating the twelve of us for my wedding. Each of my girls raved about their hair and makeup. They were efficient with our schedule and so kind. I loved my bridal makeup by Camille and hair by Kyle SO much! The company also did an amazing job communicating and answering all of my questions in a timely manner as well. Thank you JanayBeauty!

They did the hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. Each of us got to choose the hair and makeup that we each wanted. I absolutely loved working with Janay Beauty! I had four members of the Janay Beauty team assisting on the big day - Katie Lostutter & Ashley Stanton for hair along with Amanda Raines-Winkle & Maddie Hicks on makeup! Ashley did my bridal hair & I was beyond obsessed! She brought my vision to life perfectly. Amanda was my MUA (and spirit animal - she's seriously the best. Request her if you can)! Katie & Maddie meshed well with my group and did amazing work on my bridesmaids & mothers! All in all, the Janay Beauty team was professional and easy to work with and I absolutely adored my experience!

Let me start by saying Amber and Kyra were INCREDIBLE! They absolutely rocked from start to finish and were so much fun to work with. The two of them are 10/10 and five stars all the way. The communication with the administration/owner was subpar and at times confusing. Often it took a while to get a response and sometimes even a follow-up email from me to get any response. A few tips before booking... I would ask for the exact pricing for travel as this was very vague in the contract and was a fee I wasn't anticipating. The invoice I received to pay had many incorrect pieces. I wasn't able to respond to the email until the next day and was charged a late fee. I knew when my payment was due, but I couldn't pay it when it wasn't correct. The owner explained that an invoice was sent months earlier, which is correct, but changes were made after it was sent, and the invoice I opened the day of was incorrect. The conversation with the owner wasn't great after this, and it honestly was just a stress I didn't need on my plate since it was one week before my wedding. The pricing for bridesmaids was a pretty average cost, however, the bridal HMU was a bit pricey. As I said, I was EXTREMELY happy and satisfied with how I and everyone looked, however, my friends who were brides in the past year, have had makeup done by other artists with just as much talent and experience for less. With that said, I completely understand that hiring contractors through a business is usually more than hiring them individually. There is also a nonrefundable $300 deposit to book, which I understand, however, if money is at all an issue I would be mindful of this. Just some food for thought for anyone booking! Weddings are so expensive, that if I went back in time I may have chosen to spend my money a little differently. BUT everyone is different about where they want their money to go! Again very very grateful to Amber and Kyra!

Janay Beauty did an amazing job with hair and makeup for my wedding day! They were great to work with during the planning process and always quick to reply to any questions I had. I did a trial run for both hair and makeup which was great and really helped me. I worked with Kyra and Kayla for my bridal hair/makeup, they were both amazing and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! I had 8 bridesmaids plus my mom/MIL's hair and makeup, everything went really smooth and everyone was really happy with how their hair and makeup looked. Definitely would recommend booking with Janay Beauty!

I was lucky to be paired with Amber and Autumn. They were early to set up for my out of town wedding in Columbus, even with an early start time. AMAZING!!! Amber and Kyra did my hair and makeup for my wedding and everything was flawless. So many people were asking who my beauty team was and I felt incredible all night. They also did my entire bridal party plus moms and everyone looked amazing, despite a variety of skin tones/types and hair types. Amber was my touch-up artist for later in the night and she discretely popped in at just the right times when I was needing a touch-up. My hair style also stayed put all night without being crunchy from hairspray. I have a ton of hair and it held the beautiful twist from Kyra all night! Not to mention, they were both friendly and fun and got along great with everyone from the party. I would absolutely book them again!

Janay Beauty was so wonderful to work with! I was able to meet Amanda (makeup) and Autumn (hair) at my HMU trial and they were wonderful from the start. On the wedding day, they did an excellent job of getting HMU done for the wedding party and mothers of the bride and groom. They did an excellent job of styling hair and makeup to compliment each person, making certain the style was what the person wanted yet would match for the wedding! And I was blown away by how fabulous my bridal hair and makeup turned out! I would 100% recommend this company for any HMU needs you have!

I cannot begin to express how wonderful it was to work with Janay Beauty for my wedding. I booked hair for bride+9 and Kyle absolutely crushed it! Janay Beauty was my hair and makeup vendor for my wedding and boudoir shoot and they were amazing! I would highly recommend them to any other bride in the greater Cincinnati area. I am the bride who isn’t very knowledgeable about makeup so I was most anxious doing research for this. I could not be happier that I found Janay Beauty, they more than exceeded my expectations. I have never felt more beautiful as I did on my wedding day. The artists really listened to what I wanted and made me feel not only beautiful but like myself. They really helped to create the best version of me. Looking back at pictures, I absolutely love how I look. My husband is not a big fan of “overdone” makeup and he really loved my look as well! All my bridesmaids (I had 7 bridesmaids who got hair and makeup) along with my mom and my mother in law were also extremely happy with their hair and makeup. Everyone said how much the artists accentuated their features while also making them feel glamorous for the wedding day. Amber did my bridal makeup and Autumn did my hair - loved them both! They were fantastic to work with and very nice. Kyle and Amanda were the other stylists we had the day of my wedding. My girls, mom and MIL loved them both as well. Also, all the artists were early to the wedding venue the day of and finished earlier than expected. They are extremely professional, they work fast while also doing amazing work and everyone was easy to get along with. Amber also did my boudoir makeup which was incredible. She made me feel sexy and confident going into my shoot. Overall, I would highly recommend Janay Beauty for hair and makeup services. Their team does incredible work!

I booked the Platinum wedding makeup package with Ashleigh and her team did such an amazing job. Both Ashleigh and her assistant did amazing work on me and my bridal party. They were so knowledgable on products and advised what looks best with skin tones, skin types etc. All the looks were very glam yet natural and not overdone or cakey. I highly recommend this team of vendors for your wedding, they made everyone feel and look so stunning!

When looking for a hair and makeup vendor, I spent hours looking at instagram posts from various companies. I fell in love with Janay Beauty's talent in hair and makeup!!! Working with their team was such a fun time - Ashleigh, the owner, along with Kyra, who did my hair, helped me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Loved working with Janay Beauty! Ashleigh answered all my questions at the beginning of the process very quickly and thoroughly to help me determine that I had all the details down and that we'd be a good fit. For my party, I had one artist for hair (Kyle) and another for makeup (Kiara). They did my trial at the same time which was perfect. They were super nice and open to what I wanted for my wedding look. All the girls in my bridal party wanted more subtle, natural looks and they were all very pleased! My makeup looked great in photos and lasted all day! Definitely recommend Janay Beauty, and specifically Kyle and Kiara for any occasion!

After having previous bad experiences with my previous trials I reached out to janay beauty and they truly made my dreams come true. I actually grew up knowing Ashleigh and going to school together and it was so nice catching up and having the trust of knowing her! I went into my trial with a lot of hesitation and anxiety. She listened to everything I said I didn’t like about my first few trials and truly understood what I wanted and went above and beyond. Her staff is amazing and the communication was great. I can’t recommend her team enough! I got so many compliments and I still do from people looking at our pictures. My wedding was everything I dreamed and imagined and Ashleigh and her team are to thank for that. I truly felt so beautiful and elegant.

We all had a five star experience. The makeup stayed on all night and I appreciated the touch up kits the makeup artist gave us to touch up our makeup throughout the night and the fact the hair lady touched up everyone’s hair right before they left as well. Amber is amazing and so talented, my mom wants to take classes from her now! She saw my vision and made it come to life. I am so grateful I chose Janay and cannot recommend them enough. (I know you aren’t supposed to ask them to do ANYTHING last minute- my mom did, I asked her not to tho, she asked if they had extra time if they could do my aunt’s hair and makeup if we paid extra and they DID IT on the fly and did it beautifully! I was embarrassed they asked something like that last minute but was so happy they made it happen and we appreciate Janay so much. Thank you for your flexibility and Talent!)

I’m not going to lie, I was worried at my trial when my make up quickly melted around my nose. They did warn me though that there would be a different primer day of and it will hold better. I was so worried my face would melt off day of. But they knew what they were doing! I had some very slight make up loss around my nose by the time we were at the end of the night at the hotel, but I can live with that. They were nice, did a good job and I have no complaints.

Amber and Kyle were fantastic for hair and makeup on my big day- 5/27/23! Kyle created the perfect textured low bun with long bangs framing my face. Amber brought my "natural but a little special" request for makeup to life. I felt so so beautiful! Amber and Kyle also did hair for my 7 bridesmaids, MOB and MOG and my flower girl. They were incredible officient. 5/5 stars for my interactions with Kyle and Amber and their beautiful work! 3/5 stars for my experience leading up to the wedding. A tip if you book Janay Beauty is that email is the best way to communicate with Ashleigh, the owner. The inability to reach her by phone had me a little concerned since I had spoken to all of my other vendors either in-person or over then phone. When you are sending large amounts of money to someone, sometimes it's nice to know they're a real person. Also, Ashleigh will only accept Venmo, which was okay, but added to the disconcerting feelings. Our email coorespondence was generally good, but I did have to send a follow up email once or twice to receive a response. .... But, I felt much better after meeting her artists, Amber and Kyle at the trial. We shared phone numbers and they were available by phone or text if I needed them. Overrall, what matters most is your interactions with the artists and the results- which were A+. So, if you choose Janay Beauty, you can rest assured that your end result will be good.

SO glad I found the Janay Beauty team for my wedding day hair needs! I booked with Kyle and she was a rockstar! Super fun energy, FAST and very talented. I knew she'd be great from the moment I met her during our hair trial. The booking process was super smooth and even if Janay was busy for other events or conferences, I heard back quickly from her assistant that she'd be in touch soon. Kyle was so fast we were all blown away! We had 7 ladies getting hair done and she finished ahead of schedule, even with a lunch break in between. She made my vision for my hair come true and it was perfect!! Couldn't have asked for a better stylist--highly recommend!

04/22/23 was the best day. I had 5 makeup and 6 hair and they were all done in a timely manner. I cannot thank Janay Beauty enough for all the hard work they put forward with each and every bride. I am a wedding events manager at a local venue and there is a reason they are one of our top vendors for hair and makeup. They are just the best. I would recommend them to everyone.

I was looking for a makeup service that could do all of my bridesmaids, the moms, and flower girls' and do their hair as well. I thought this was going to be a super expensive venture, but Janay Beauty's prices were amazing! Ashleigh personally stepped in to do my makeup when the artist I did my trial with quit the company and I really appreciated this level of ownership for what happened. I'm honestly really glad it ended up being Ashleigh who did my makeup, because it turned out even more amazing than when I did my trial! Every one of us looked stunning, our hair was amazingly done, and it was so much fun to have a full team there on my wedding day to glam us all up. I found Janay Beauty through The Knot and loved their makeup and hairstyle looks, it was exactly what I was looking for on my wedding day. I had a big wedding party to get ready (14 girls including the bride) and Janay Beauty was very accommodating. We had to start the day early but we managed to get everyone finished on time and looking amazing. My bridesmaids were very happy with how they looked! Ashleigh is easy to get a hold of and genuinely cares about her business, if something isn't right, she will make it right!

Ashleigh and Kyle were AMAZING! They were so nice and worked with each girl to make sure everyone got exactly what they wanted. My hair/makeup and my girls hair/makeup was stunning and lasted all day. Highly recommend!!

Ashleigh’s team helped make my day so special. The hair and makeup came out exactly how I wanted. I do have acne scars so it was important to me that the appearance was minimized on this day. The team did a great job and I felt very beautiful. My makeup and hair also lasted all night long (9 hours) with no touch up. This was also during one of the most hottest weeks in LA. The team was overall very friendly and they arrived to the venue on time. I appreciated them also working with my videographer and photographer to best capture the behind-the-scene moments.

We had for if the girls for hair and makeup! They were so quick with everything and it turned out absolutely amazing. I as the bride felt completely like myself without feeling like I looked like a completely different person as I wanted to be able to look back on our day and feel like myself and they made that come true for me! I used Janay Beauty and their artists for my wedding in LA. I had a large bridal party (13 people), and they worked with me on that. I loved the fact that they came out to where we were. Moving 13 people to a salon and back to a venue would have been very difficult. The artists were so professional and did amazing work. Everyone looked great and loved how their hair/makeup turned out. Honestly, it's the best I have ever looked. I highly recommend their services.

Taylor and I believe amber ( I am sorry if that’s wrong) did makeup for myself,4 girls and my mom yesterday morning. They were On time, ruled with the punches and made my bridal glam dreams come true. I and my girls got so many compliments they out the night. My make up stayed on with minimal touch ups. I booked Janay beauty at the recommendation of my wedding planner and I wish I would have done my own makeup. The work she did was pretty and did last (in August heat) but her attitude was unacceptable. It took a while to get the ball rolling communication wise, and I was unable to schedule a trial with her. I had a trail -with the second artist we had scheduled for my wedding- the day before and I liked what she did but seeing it made me realize it wasn’t quite the look I had in mind. We talked about this and all seemed good. They started makeup a little later than they were supposed to for the wedding. When asked about the look for the bridesmaids I said that I just wanted each person to like their look and be happy. The second artist got an attitude when a bridesmaid didn't like her look and while she did try to change it and make it better it is unprofessional to be upset that someone doesn't like your work for whatever reason. There was no need to tell the room "no one has never not liked my work before". Ashleigh did my make up and got annoyed that I couldn't focus as she tried to do my face while my planner and photographer tried to relay important information. She made me upset multiple times and got annoyed when I began to be overwhelmed. I understand that you cant be on the verge of tears when doing eye shadow but brides get emotional. She let me see my eye shadow and when I told her it was too dark and wanted more brown in the center instead of black she gave me 2 options - try to work over it or wipe it off. She didn't understand what I was asking. We wiped it off and started my eyes again, only for her to say "well I could have just blended that out if you had been clearer". I asked for a little sparkle at the end and she said "well I just spent all this time doing a matte lid for you". This is no way to interact with a bride on her wedding day. If I am asking for something make up wise and paying you, I should get what I ask for. End of discussion. Snarky comments and eye rolling is uncalled for. Her energy was so off-putting and rude that I didn't get any getting ready pictures. Like I said- the make up did last through the important stuff and looked pretty, but when I am paying $95 a person, I want my make up to be fabulous and to feel somewhat uplifted when I am done in the make up chair. I felt very overwhelmed, and annoyed that the person I was paying didn't try to do what I asked and affected the joy of my special day Having Ashleigh do my make up was the worst part of my otherwise perfect wedding day.

I hired Ashleigh with Janay Beauty to do my reception makeup and I am so glad I did! I had so much confidence from her portfolio alone that I decided to forego a trial. She is so incredibly talented and it’s obvious from other reviews that her team is too. Not only does their talent speak for their work, the communication from Janay Beauty was incredible. Anytime I emailed them there was always an auto-reply, especially on weekends, where it set the expectation of when I should receive a response. I wish all vendors did this. I could go on and on all day about how wonderful Janay Beauty is but I will stop here. I couldn’t recommend anyone more than Ashleigh and her team. Thank you for taking such great care of me!

I had a great experience working with Janay Beauty. I booked the incorrect date (yikes!) and they were able to accommodate me for the rescheduled date. I LOVED my makeup. My artist was incorporated my ideas flawlessly. My makeup stayed on for 12+ hours through out humidity, heat and dancing.

I don't even know where to begin. Amanda and Autumn, our makeup and hair team for my daughter, Meliah's wedding, not only provided their hired services, they went above and beyond to help make my daughter's wedding photos happen in a timely and proper fashion. There was an issue with our photographer's staff and one of the three couldn't make it. While Amanda was still working on makeup, Autumn had finished doing all the hair, and she went above and beyond to help the photographer she didn't even know! She could have easily finished her job and left. But she wanted to help and there aren't words to describe just how grateful and appreciative we are for her kindness. Amanda was doing touch ups after all the girls ate lunch and before walking down the aisle and never skipped a beat. These two amazing ladies are exceptional human beings in addition to possessing so much talent. The bridal party looked runway ready!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone. We will book them for any future makeup/ hair needs we have. We absolutely loved them, they made the day such a wonderful experience, and I most definitely recommend them at Janay Beauty.

After talking to several make-up artists, it was clear that Janay Beauty was the most professional, punctual and nicest :) The Trial was done at their beautiful studio---truly worth the trip! Both artists who came on my wedding day were wonderful! They did fabulous work on myself and three others in the bridal party, and we are all VERY different. Easy to work with, very fun, and highly recommended!

All I have to say is WOW. Hair and makeup was something that was so important to me as a bride because I wanted my wedding party to feel beautiful on our special day. We decided on the highest package and I would not have changed a thing. Ashleigh, Kyra, Amber, and Ashley were ABSOLUTELY amazing. We had 22 services scheduled. My aunt came to visit us and noticed how flawless of a job they did and decided to add on her hair and makeup services in the moment. Ashleigh and Amber stayed for the duration of the day and made me feel like an absolute princess. Each of my bridesmaids/Mom/Mother of the Groom came to me and said how happy they were with their hair and makeup. Everyone was SO sweet. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They made me feel like a bride should on her wedding day and even more. I miss them already!!!!!

I hirer Janay Beauty after viewing their stunning Instagram page. Ashleigh had great communication with me and answered all of my questions to get the dates set. I had the absolute pleasure getting paired with Amber and Autumn. Amber did my make up - flawlessly.. I was so pleased! And Autumn did my hair - also flawlessly! What makes it even better, if possible, is they both were such a pleasure to spend time with. This is THE best choice for beauty services. I highly highly recommend.

HORRIBLE! I had Janay Beauty booked for my upcoming wedding in May, however, I had to cancel and find someone else. Initially, emails were not being returned in a timely manner (over a week) and I was told there is no other method of contact. Then when I asked for information regarding the difference between airbrush and traditional makeup, I was told I could do some research myself. At one point, she sent me a contract with multiple prices on it and when I asked for clarification she responded by quickly sending me an updated contract then by her sending me a nasty email asking if I did not understand or was not receiving the email. After multiple other rude and unprofessional emails, I began to search for a new makeup artist. When I canceled the service Ashleigh apologized for being rude and said I caught the brunt of her frustration because her admin was out sick. However, there is absolutely no excuse for the constant unprofessionalism of this company. Ashleigh appears to be talented at her job but no amount of talent excuses her rude attitude towards me. All my other vendors have been extremely nice and I feel as though my day will be better with them around. I am glad I went with my decision to find a new makeup artist because I do not need someone around my family and I with a horrible attitude on my wedding day. I am not posting to bash this company rather than to warn other brides to do their research in their vendors and make an informed decision.

The Janay Beauty team were all 100% great to work with! I had my trial done the day of my engagement shoot, and Ashleigh + Courtney made me feel like I was the most gorgeous bride-to-be in the world. They really listened to what I envisioned, and even taught me how to do a few of my own looks at home with my make-up! It was a perfect experience. Ashleigh is outstanding with her use in airbrush and regular makeup. She had a keen understanding toward small changes in my bridal make-up to help me achieve the overall desired effect. The entire team really listened to my bridal party, mothers, and grandma and did a phenomenal job implementing their asks using their expertise. We had a total of 12 women have their hair styled, and 10 use make-up services. It was all wonderful!

I was so happy to have Janay Beauty as a part of my elaborate, multi-event Indian-Hindu wedding. Ashleigh did my makeup for my welcome party, ceremony and reception. I had a different look for each event, and Ashleigh knocked each one out of the park. I came in with a general sense of the look I was going for, and her artistic vision and suggestions helped me get there for each look. I wanted glam, and she gave me glam! She also made me feel my best - her whole team has so much energy! I especially appreciated the eye patches to help de-puff my eyes at 4:30 am when we started makeup for my morning wedding ceremony! I had a VERY large bridal party, and 10 girls had their makeup done and 6 girls had their hair done with Janay Beauty the morning of my ceremony. Janay Beauty was very helpful in creating our hair and makeup timeline, ensuring we were all done on time for pre-ceremony photos. Not to mention, every girl looked STUNNING, and the makeup lasted all day. We also opted to have an artist stay for touch ups, which I highly recommend. You can’t go wrong with Janay Beauty for your hair and makeup needs for your wedding. Ashleigh is a kind, honest and wonderful person who runs her business with integrity and pride. Ashleigh and her team were great. She was flexible with our multiple covid postponements, and was extremely responsive and professional. One issue I ran into while choosing a beauty team was a lot of people cater to only lighter skin tones, which was disappointing and frankly, offensive. I wanted all of my bridesmaids of varying skin tones to feel and look good. Ashleigh was the only artist who assured me they were prepared for all types of people. The day before my wedding, I got a text from Ashleigh that the hair stylist who did my trial would not be able to come due to a family emergency. My first reaction was panic because I had a very specific style I wanted, but Ashleigh already had another stylist lined up. My hair looked incredible and I got so many compliments during the wedding. My makeup was also fantastic. I had a few bridesmaids who had been disappointed by past “wedding makeup” experiences, and even they were impressed by how everything turned out. Ashleigh also had a calming presence day-of, and let me take multiple breaks when I was feeling stressed/overwhelmed. I would recommend Ashleigh and her team a million times over.

Let me start by saying, I do not wear a lot of make up and I do not even know where to start. Ashleigh and her team were incredible from the get-go. They provided me with all the information I could need, and some details I would have never thought about. Including getting a dermaplane facial, which I highly recommend. The day of the wedding was completely seamless. Every single one of my bridesmaids could not stop raving about their makeup and I adored my own! I highly recommend Janay Beauty, no matter if you are super comfortable with makeup, or a complete novice. They book up very fast and I can see why now! Well done Ashleigh!

Y’all, Janay Beauty was incredible. As a bride I wanted my bridal party to feel like a million bucks, and Brie, Ashley, and Amber 100% did that. We had a blast working with these ladies and the whole process working with Ashleigh during planning was amazing. They were so fun and attentive and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Their salon in Cincinnati is so nice to have a trial at and it’s very easy to get to. I was from Louisville, KY and it was worth the travel. The ladies had to travel in the AM of the wedding and were even there early. So thankful and happy I chose Janay Beauty. YOU SHOULD TOO!

It was really important to me to find a hair and makeup company that was comfortable with a variety of skin tones and hair types because my bridal party was very diverse. After I booked Janay Beauty, I ended up changing wedding plans and it was only me that needed services, but I’m so happy I stuck with them. Kyle and Brie did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup!
