Janelle Lynn Makeup Artistry

Janelle did my makeup and some of my bridesmaid's for my wedding a few weeks ago. Upon meeting her at my trial, I learned how kind she was and how knowledgable she was about makeup and what would and wouldn't look good on me. I don't tend to wear a lot of makeup usually, so I was nervous about having mine done. Janelle made me feel so much better! After the trial, she was responsive to messages when I saw other work she had done and wanted to tweak my wedding day look. On the actual day, she knocked it out of the park! She gave me the perfect natural glam look. I still felt and looked like myself which was so important to me. My bridesmaids were all extremely happy with their makeup as well! Thank you, Janelle!

She made everything so perfect, from my trial to tailoring each look to my bridesmaids' specifications/ideas! All of my girls and my mom said how much they loved their looks... and we had a sweltering hot day for my wedding, and my makeup didn't budge!! She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and passionate about her work. Janelle did a phenomenal job creating the look I wanted (after sending inspo pictures) during the trial. There were a few things I wanted to tweak after the trial and Janelle was extremely supportive and made my second vision come true. Truly, my wedding makeup was EVERYTHING I dreamed of and more. Janelle was fantastic start to finish! I had my makeup artist drop out and I am so glad because Janelle was absolutely meant to be. I wish I found her sooner! Our trial went well along with the day of. She brought a few extra girls to help her which were also amazing. My entire bridal party looked stunning. Makeup lasted so well. My eyeshadow and foundation didn’t budge even through tears. And best of all Janelle and her team were so FUN! I can’t say good enough things about Janelle!!

Janelle was absolutely wonderful to work with for my wedding! I showed her a few different inspiration pictures, the colors we were using and managed to create exactly what I wanted to look like for my special day. She used beautiful coppery tones for my eyes that coordinated perfectly with our flowers. Janelle made me feel like the most beautiful bride! My bridesmaids also had a wonderful experience with Janelle and her assistant. Our makeup lasted through all of the events of the day. Can't recommend her enough!

She put me at complete ease on my wedding day, I was admittedly stressed about the timeline and making sure we were all ready to depart for the church on time, we ended up finishing up early and even had extra time for touch ups! My makeup lasted all day and night, and I am still swooning over how she made my eyes pop out. She made me feel absolutely beautiful! Janelle did my makeup for my engagement pictures, and the final result was amazing! She was able to fit me in on short notice and gave me the natural look I was going for. Janelle is truly an artist. What we loved most about her is that 1) she treats each face as a unique canvas, 2) she specializes in helping brides prep their skin for the big day (which was a perk I was not seeing with other vendor options), and 3) she seeks to bring out your natural beauty. And she most certainly did! Every single person in the wedding party (including myself, the bride) was incredibly pleased with her work. My mom especially could not stop gushing at how beautiful she felt (which is a big thing for her!). Amidst all the chaos, Janelle was so professional and patient with us. She had quite a few women to tackle in a short period of time and she handled it so well. I am incredibly happy with my choice to hire her this past Sept. Not only is Janelle an incredible MUA, she is also an absolutely lovely human being. From booking, to the trial, to the day of she was super responsive and communicative. You can tell that she loves what she does and she is really committed to making your day amazing. She also has a through hygiene process and uses high quality make up. My make-up looked amazing and lasted into the next day easily. My MIL and bridesmaids also were very impressed with her work. Seriously stop your search now and book her before she becomes unavailable ( which is inevitable), you will not regret it!

I hired Janelle for my 2020 July wedding. I ended up having to postpone and Janelle was flexible and accommodating. She helped me feel at ease as we explored how I wanted my make up done. My husband had some feedback on our trial and she was kind and attentive to his wishes as well. Her make up helped me feel my most beautiful self on my wedding day! Janelle did a great job with my wedding makeup! As a bride who does not typically wear much makeup, I really wanted a natural look that was glamorous but not too overwhelming. Nelle did my makeup as well as my bridesmaids, mother and grandmothers makeup for our wedding day. 11 people had to get finished by a particular time and Nelle made it happen! Janelle was amazing from the beginning! I am the type of person who never wears makeup. When I went to my trial I came with a picture and she brought the picture to life. Janelle was so easy going and truly cared about your opinion, always asking if you wanted this or that. Once the trial was over Janelle allowed me to tell her what I loved and what I wanted to change for wedding day. She was so flexible! On wedding day Janelle came early to set up and kept the flow of the day going. I needed to find a make-up artist [incredibly short notice in the world of wedding planning] to have my make up done as a bridesmaid. I reached out to Janelle & from the start she was easy to work with. Prompt responses/professional. My make up on the wedding day was gorgeous- she is attentive to client's needs while creating a beautiful flawless look. She is truly talented - and I loved my make-up.

I just went to take a moment and just write a review on Janelle. She was absolutely amazing to work with, she is sweetest person I’ve met and very professional. She did my makeup trial and i got so many compliments from all my friends and family. I was super nervous for my big day but knowing she was going to make me feel beautiful made it easier. I was super excited to work with her on my big day! Unfortunately due to Covid I was not able to have Janelle for the wedding and that was very upsetting. Thankfully Janelle was able to find a replacement in her spot very quickly and it didn’t cost me a dime! It was handled professionally, I didn’t have to do anything which made my life easier with what was going on. I can’t tell you how much I wished Janelle was there on my big day but I will tell anyone they won’t be disappointed and will not regret having Janelle work with them on their special day.

I can not recommend Nelle's Makeup Artistry enough! I am seriously blown away by the attention to detail. Janelle is very caring and thoughtful when it comes to making sure your vision comes to life. She was sure to ask me what I liked and didn't like and really listened to what I was envisioning. She is a true artist and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. I am a crier and I cried ALOT on my wedding day, but my makeup stayed all day. The number one compliment I got throughout the day was about my makeup and how beautifully it maintained throughout the entire day. The products were safe and clean (good for my skin!) and she was sure to sanitize everything before and after. Janelle showed up early the day of my wedding and moved through her process in a timely manner, she even took on doing my mom's and sister's eyelashes last minute! She packed me a little touch up kit which definitely came in handy and was such a nice touch! From the initial contact all the way through the wedding and even after Janelle was quick to respond and answer any questions I had. She took detailed notes during my trial and was so prepared the day of the wedding. She even reached out after to make sure everything went okay. I am so grateful for Janelle. Janelle did bridal makeup for me and a couple of my bridesmaids. She did an excellent job! She is very experienced and professional, and such a sweet girl who makes the process very fun. I appreciated her willingness to come to the hair salon and do our makeup there. I enjoyed being able to do a trial run before the big day to get an idea of how it would look. She encouraged me to try false lashes, which I'd never worn, and they looked so nice and were so light. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis and was worried that I would accidentally touch my face too much and smudge things, but she had a really nice setting spray that made the look last for the entire day, and it stayed as beautiful as when she first put it on. I definitely recommend her to anyone who wants really quality work at a very affordable rate.

Janelle did airbrush make-up for this never wears make-up bride and let me tell you: she was phenomenal! Janelle came on-site and was willing to share the space with my hair stylist. Janelle makes you feel comfortable. She's a professional but engages how a friend would; she's friendly and open making conversation easy and helping to make sure we're all laughing while getting ready. But when it's time to not move your face, she'll gently let you know. My eyes are very sensitive and water easily and Janelle was very patient with that. We had some difficulty getting the false lashes to stick during my trial but Janelle adjusted what she needed to in order to get them to work for wedding day. I never wear makeup and so I wanted a natural look and I got exactly what I was looking for. Gentle enhancements and covering of my dark circles kept me looking like me while making my eyes pop and skin look smooth and clean. Janelle even covered a cat scratch on my wrist for me. If you're looking to get your make-up done and want to feel like it's just you and your friends, choose Janelle. If you want your make-up done and want it to last and look phenomenal (weather you do natural, natural glam like my bridesmaid, or something else) choose Janelle.

What can I say...the transformation of the entire wedding party and myself was stunning. Nelle was able to give each person their desired looked flawlessly. She was excellent at communicating, budget friendly and exceeded all expectations. I was running around and a dancing fool sweating, but my makeup remained perfect the entire event for over 12hours. Janelle did my makeup for my wedding, and what she created was a masterpiece! It's hard to fit in one review all that I love about her services! My package included a makeup trial, makeup the day of the event, and a free Mary Kay product as a gift at the end of it all. For our trial run, Janelle reviewed all the pictures I sent her beforehand which depicted what I wanted, and she listened intently when I explained to her what I was going for. Then she created a look that both looked stunning and worked with my natural features, and she was able to get me out the door in time to make my next appointment. On the day of the wedding, Janelle traveled to my wedding venue (so convenient!!) and arrived early; she was ready to begin as soon as the bridal party arrived. In a little over an hour, she had recreated the work of art she'd put together at the trial, and then she created beautiful looks for both my mom and my sister. She even stuck around to take a few pictures as my family and flower girls arrived. I just love love LOVE that Janelle works with a woman's naturally attractive features when creating her looks. I don't wear a lot of makeup normally, so I was worried that I would feel like my look was fake or plastic-looking, even if everyone else thought it was beautiful. But Janelle's artistic touch highlights what is already beautiful in a woman's face, and for the bride, and even though I was used to seeing myself without makeup, I felt the look she created was gorgeous without looking overly dramatic. Beyond her professional gifts, Janelle is just an all-around sweet and personable person. She truly cares about what you want to get from your day, no matter what the occasion. She made me feel comfortable with the process, telling me what she was doing as she did it, and indicating some of her thought process as she made selections in colors and tints. And perhaps most comforting, she really enjoys what she does, which makes me enjoy the process as well. I can't say enough good things about Janelle's services!
