While enjoying the tasting, Jane sketched out our dream wedding cake right before our eyes and was so easy to work with! When the pandemic interrupted our wedding plans and we were forced to make the difficult decision to postpone our full celebration and change to an intimate ceremony, Jane was so understanding and supportive and made the switch no problem. When our wedding day came, we enjoyed the most delicious wedding cake that was just the right size for our intimate wedding day and all of our guests commented that they cant wait to enjoy more of her cake next year! y surprise when I cut into my wedding cake to discover a funfetti cake. She was supposed to make champagne and white chocolate raspberry cake and instead I received funfetti and red velvet. The look on my face was captured in a picture, and it was disgust. Funfetti cakes are for children's birthdays, not weddings. Jane admitted that she had someone else bake my cakes because she was preoccupied with her personal affairs. The paperwork listed champagne and white chocolate raspberry. 2. The taste was awful. I did not receive homemade cakes. I received cakes made with boxed cake mix. 3. The decoration was sub-par. She used disgusting rice paper on my cake. (Rice paper is like what is used on picture cakes.) We discussed that she would make the background of my cake look like the Mountain Retreat Amethyst stationary from Minted. The color was pale. I expected an airbrushed, vibrant cake. She did not communicate with me enough about decoration expectations. I was not given options for technique and she didn't discuss the rice paper with me beforehand. 4. We ordered 2 cheesecakes to supplement our dessert bar and they were inedible. They went totally flat, tasted and looked disgusting. I was very disappointed and she apologized to me over text but I have not received a refund. Jane has a good reputation and I thought she knew what she was doing but I didn't receive anything like the picture I showed her or the cakes that are pictured on her website. Buyer beware. I can't re-create my cake cutting moment, but maybe you could avoid the heartache I experienced.

I called her a few weeks before the wedding and asked for her to make a grooms cake in the shape of a police badge and it was the BEST surprise for my husband! We absolutely loved her! She is easy to contact and is willing to do whatever she can to make it yours. Oh, and the cake and cupcakes were so delicious! We received so many compliments. Thanks so much Jane and her crew!

She has a huge variety of cakes and deserts that she can supply, but we never felt overwhelmed with the options because she had great recommendations based on her past experience and what we told he about our dream wedding. We ultimately went with the desert table, which she decorated beautifully, and though it was above our budget, it was worth every penny. We got numerous comments on our desert selection with everyone enjoying the variety and quality of the deserts, and there was more than enough for everyone. Jane was also very flexible, allowing us to change the deserts and number of guests right up to the week of the wedding. We highly recommend Jane for future weddings and events.

cake Jane delivered was exactly what we ordered. We had a large wedding (375 guests) so we chose to do additional sheet cakes all in different flavors. All were amazing! I wouldn't go anywhere else for a cake in the Toledo area.

and she told us she would get a mock up to us in a few days. I was ready to sign the check as soon as we saw what she had planned for us. Weeks went by with no word. Reached out to her and she apologized up and down, I get it, she's a busy lady. A few more weeks went by, I reached out via email again and never received another response. I was extremely bummed out from wanting so badly to work with her, but I suppose it worked out. I've never seen another review like this, so it might have been a one time deal for her to do that, but from my own experience, I would recommend looking else where.

showed up early otherwise everyone would have been at the ceremony when the cake was actually delivered. (I'm not sure of the actual delivery time, but I know that the people who were setting up the rest of the hall left at 2 in order to make it back to the ceremony location and the cake had yet to arrive at that time.) However, it was delivered by the time the wedding party arrived, so no harm done. The cake cutters forgot to leave boxes and my guests weren't able to take any leftovers home. This not only disappointed my guests, but I have a freezer filled with about 20 pieces of leftover cake. Overall, I would recommend Jane's to other brides.

perfect. The cake turned out to be exactly what I wanted. It looked amazing and tasted even better! She even offered us a free anniversary cake so that we could serve our top layer and not worry about preserving it! Also, she made some delicious and adorable cake pops for my bridal shower. I was thoroughly impressed with her work and will definitely be using Jane's Cakes again in the future!

ppointments were that the cake tasted different to us at the wedding versus the cake tastings. We did however change this particular layer from something we tried at the tasting to a slightly different version, which is why we think it seemed to taste different. However, all our guests loved the other layers. I was also a little disappointed that the listing of the cake layers was not provided like we had discussed, but this was very minor to me. The important thing was it looked awesome and arrived on time. Jane was very pleasant and nice to work with, as well as very accommodating.

very noticeable then. The look of the cake was great. I got a Groom's cake as well and that was done perfect. It looked awesome. The flavor of the cake, over all was good. However, the icing was too greasy. Eating it left a greasy film in my mouth. When I did the cake tasting, the icing was not like that, so I am not sure why it was on the actual wedding cake. Over all, it was average wedding cake.

es taste amazing and her frosting is not overpowering or too sugary! She can create anything you ask her too. I gave her pictures and we talked about what I wanted and it turned out great! The grooms cake was especially awesome! It was a fish jumping out of a pond with a bobber in its mouth! LOVED IT!!! The only bad thing is that somehow she messed up the flavor of the chocolate cake at the wedding. it was supposed to have raspberry in it, and for some reason she did not put it in there. That is why I gave a 4 because I was very disappointed with that.

My only comment would be that if you decide to have a small wedding cake and a cupcake table...go big and make sure that everyone receives a piece of wedding cake (no matter how many cupcakes are provided). Her design of our wedding cake was exactly what we wanted and she decorated beautifully! Pricing was more than fair.

Jane had no issue executing this task. Since we had a themed wedding, our cake was structurally different then usual with cake layers balancing on sphere shapes. Jane gave us just what we asked for and the cake was beautiful and delicious. I am very impressed with her baking and decorating skills, she is very fairly priced and and I would highly recommend her service.
