I am the most indecisive person sometimes and she never once got annoyed or tried to push me into making a decision because I was taking too much time. The day of my wedding we had several issues and not once was I worried about my dress or uncomfortable in it. Thank you Janet for your patience and for making my dress the perfect fit. :)

So, I headed up to SAS Fabric Superstore and bought grey chiffon for the dress and grey satin to redo the belt I had bought. She works quickly. From the time you tell her what you want and when you want to come back, she can get it done in 2 weeks. We are going slow with mine, since it's February 2015 and I'm not getting married until September 2015. But the grey is already in, sparkles were put on the appliques, and the pickups were done the way I wanted them. When the grey was first put in, Janet could not stop saying, "The dress makes so much sense now!" We felt like there was something missing. It was color! She also redid my ivory belt in the grey satin and made me a grey satin shawl. I love that she lets me come and see my dress whenever I want. I had brought my Maid of Honor (from out of state) and my mother's veil, so we could chat about altering the veil. A few days later, I returned just to put my dress on for my younger sister who also came from out of state to visit. I highly recommend Janet. I'm still working with her to alter my veil, make me a garter, put in a bustle, and complete the fit. It's nice to know that my dress is in good hands and out of sight since it's been in her studio and not in my home!

y timely manner. The only thing is that I felt there were some times where I needed advice from her on things like hem length or bustle that she didn't really help with. In the end, my hem was a bit too long and the bustle broke in two places and I was left wishing she had actually answered my questions instead of just saying it was a personal choice on my part. I get that it depends bride to bride but if someone asks you for your professional opinion, you should give it. All in all, I was pleased with her services and I would definitely go back again because she was such a pleasure to be around.

She would give me multiple ideas for each type of alteration and would let me pick which one went best with my style. She was upfront and honest. She even stored my wedding dress (free of charge) up until the wedding day and had it nicely pressed upon my arrival. Janet did not try to push me towards anything I did not feel comfortable with and the end results were superb!

lon in NYC! When I asked where in AZ they recommended I have my dress altered, they told me to come back to Manhattan to one of their folks...uuhhh no...so my quest for an alterations person began! Thanks to the amazing reviews for Janet on Yelp, she was my first stop! Her location is just a smidge north on 68th Pl of Thomas...turn right at the Streets of NY pizza place and then she is located in the House of Brides on the west side of the street. She has the perfect little spot downstairs with a changing room and a 3 way mirror when you are ready. Since I had not seen my dress on except the one time, I was nervous to check it out, especially with all of my undergarments and with shoes. Janet was very helpful and immediately put me at ease. We talked about what I wanted to see and I learned all about french bustles and american bustles and all sorts of things I never knew about. Needless to say, she gave me excellent direction! I had one additional fitting after the holidays to make sure everything was in the right place and then it was showtime! She held my dress for me and allowed me to pick it up on the day of my wedding! I could not have been happier with the results! The bustle was perfection, my little wrist ribbon saved the dress from getting dirty at the Desert Botanical Garden and this baby fit like a glove! She is a true professional and I was thoroughly pleased with my dream dress!

I ordered my dress custom made from Australia (based off of a drawing I made) It turned out great but for sure needed some alterations....She completely changed the neckline for me to make it more comfortable and flattering and it turned out PERFECT. so so happy

ittings. When I went to the fitting, the dress was not near complete. I understand she wanted to have everything the way I wanted it, I just felt that she failed to communicate her questions and would take a long time to respond to my emails. I ended up scrapping the dress and buying one from David's Bridal as my wedding was just 4 wks away and was getting nervous the dress wouldn't be finished. I will say that she did my friends alterations in a timely and quality manner.

liking. Then I found Janet. She nipped and tucked in all the right places, and she made me fall in love with my dress. She listed to what I wanted, and made it happen. I was so pleased with her work that I brought in my bridesmaid dresses to her assistant and had her alter those too (they had all shown up from the designer with strangely fitting hips). She made each one fit perfectly, and with a really fast turn around, and a tiny price tag. I was so pleased!

Janet did an amazing job with my dress. I got so many compliments on it. I loved my dress but being 5'1, it was a whole lot of dress. Well she did her magic and you never would of imagine how it was before. One of the best things she suggested to me was taking the zipper out of my dress, so it would only be a corsett (it had both). When she did this, it complimented my wasit line so much! I loved it!! She is a professional, knows her stuff, and provides you with great ideas. She is reasonably priced and you could tell she loves what she does. I was so happy with the work she did with my dress, I didn't want to take it off when I went to go try it on at one of my final fittings. All brides should feel this way in their dresses!

I will definitely be visiting her again and recommending her to everyone I know. A few of my bridesmaids had their dresses hemmed by her, and they were perfect. Happiness for all!
