he totally captured our quirky personalities and our laughter-filled love, and we feel SO lucky and relieved that she'll be there by our side to capture our wedding next year. Logistics / Booking: We booked Jannet in early 2020, right before the pandemic started. Pandemic became a thing, and because my partner and I were on the more cautious / pessimistic side, we were one of the first to postpone a 2021 wedding. She was so flexible and understanding with the postponement and made it painless for us. We had to move our engagement shoot several times too, but that was easy as well. Jannet was transparent, communicative, friendly, and knowledgeable, right from the beginning. When we video-called her for a consultation before booking, it felt like calling a friend! Engagement Photo Day: We were so worried that taking photos would be awkward because we don't think we're photogenic and we've never had photos done before, but her easygoing, happy attitude made it easy to just laugh and be ourselves. She always laughed along and never judged us for our weird stories. We couldn't stop laughing the whole time, and I'm frankly SO impressed that she was able to capture such amazing photos despite me laughing so hard! I thought I'd look dumb but nah, I love it!! When I look at our engagement photos I just... basically start screaming with glee, every time. The photos are so beautifully candid -- I can look at each photo and really remember how it felt to be in that moment. And I generally have terrible memory, so that's pretty dang awesome. :) Wedding planning overall is easier when you have 100% confidence in your vendors, and I can't emphasize enough what a HUGE difference it is for an anxious person like me, to not have to worry if our photos will be "good" or not -- I'm SO excited that we have Jannet for our wedding day!! I 1000% recommend Jannet for anyone and everyone!

ome point fixing my veil when I was overwhelmed and trying to get everything together at the start of my wedding, and at other points helping me fix my hair during our bridal session. She was a totally inconspicuous at our wedding, a complete fly on the wall that provided exactly what we requested - candid moments that documented the natural flow and events of the day. She captured every real, unposed, completely candid moment in an unbelievably stunning, irreplicable, and elegant way. She did not disappoint on our wedding day. Jannet caught every moment through the eyes of a complete and natural artist. She flew out for our wedding as she shoots in multiple locations. She was extremely fairly priced and competitive in her prices, but more importantly she was TALENTED. SO INCREDIBLY TALENTED. She proved we did not need a videographer for our wedding - she was there for every special unexpected, potentially-would-have-been-forgotten candid moment to capture and immortalize it. Jannet took initiative throughout the wedding, but she also took great direction. She communicated clearly with us several times before the wedding to get a list of the types of shots that mattered to us most - revealing the dress to my bridesmaids, father daughter dance, anniversary dance photos (she suggested this - best suggestion ever, some of our favorite photos of the night), golden hour portraits, and how to capture our cultural ceremony. She took a list of the names of couples we really wanted photos of at our wedding, and she got every single couple we requested. She followed our requested structure of how to get photos of every table, and every group, all the family, the cutting of the cake, everything. She even came the day before our wedding to the rehearsal to observe how we planned to organize the wedding flow, and to find the best lighting and angles. We asked her not to focus on artsy cutesy photos of things like rings on flowers, or the dishware, or things like the decor of our wedding and to focus on the people and the moments and she did exactly that. It was all about the moments, as we wanted. The photos were beautifully edited, light, bright, airy, deep, emotional and captured the moment gorgeously. Probably most impressive was that we were still celebrating our wedding at an after party at a bar when we got her PREVIEW! She gave the preview of our wedding photos while we were STILL AT OUR WEDDING. And I couldn't believe the photos. Our wedding portraits made us feel like a wedding featured in Vogue or any other popular magazine. I will never forget that feeling - that we had received the greatest wedding gift of our married life from her, given to us on our wedding day, moments after our vows were exchanged. She is a very special woman. A very special photographer, and a talented artist. I would recommend her with the highest of recommendations, with no reservations. Our loved ones are all grateful to her for the photos. They are the most prized possession in our family and we always feel blessed for the day and for her work in capturing it so vividly, beautifully, and thoughtfully for us to appreciate for years to come.
