inding someone reliable seemed daunting, but from our very first phone call, Jen put me completely at ease. She was incredibly responsive, even with the time difference, and stayed on top of every detail.

idance was invaluable, but where they really shine is the wedding day itself. We did not have to lift a finger. From setting up/take down, to communicating with the numerous vendors, to ensuring everything went smoothly…the list goes on. All my husband and I had to do was be totally present with our guests and enjoy our day! Some very special touches were when I saw her coming towards me during photos with an entire platter of food…I’ve never been so happy to see a crab cake in my life! And my champagne never was empty. Jenn even gave me the clip out of her hair when I was dancing so I didn’t have to miss a second of the party! Jenn also called our hotel to ensure we made it back safely after the “after-party”, HOURS after we left the venue. Those details are what sets them apart from other planners I’ve seen friends hire- Jenn knew what I needed/wanted before it ever crossed my mind, and ensured it happened with the utmost excellence. I was a destination bride, and Jen was there 24/7 for me with ANY questions I had, big or small, throughout the planning process. Jen is organized, timely, and extremely knowledgeable about all things wedding and the planning process. She has an amazing brochure of decor items that we were able to use as well! On to the wedding day. Now I always had hoped I would have a great wedding, but our wedding truly exceeded all of my expectations. It was absolutely PERFECT. Jen and her team made the day run seamlessly, so my husband, friends and family and I were able to enjoy the day without any worries. I 100% would recommend to anyone that hiring Jen and her team at Janova Events to be the first thing you do in your wedding planning process. I can't thank her enough for going above and beyond for our wedding day!!

like I got my money’s worth. She did provide a great excel workbook that I lived and died by, and put together a timeline for the day of my wedding, but having a wedding planner didn’t take anything off my plate in the months leading up to the wedding like I was hoping.
I confess to being a bit of a control freak, but it felt like she was very hands off for me. I had a clear vision of what I wanted, and it didn’t match up with the décor and things that she had in her warehouse, so I was really on my own to purchase and arrange everything. I think the date of my wedding was also part of it – I got married the Wednesday between Christmas and New Years, which is a really strange time for everyone. She commented at one point about only doing 2 weddings in December because of the holidays and everything, and I really felt like maybe she should have declined to do my wedding if she wasn’t going to be all-in. I talked to all my vendors and made sure they contacted her about coordinating the setup on the wedding day (instead of her contacting them), and had to ask several times if everyone knew the plan, I never felt confident that she was in control of everything. And again, maybe my understanding of what she was going to do was incorrect. The day before my wedding, she asked me for my address (which I gave to her when I signed the contract) so she could pick up all the décor from me in the morning. I had to print out a copy of the reception room layout on my wedding day morning, even though I had emailed it to her. She asked several questions about vendors and arrangements that I feel she should have known already because I copied her on all my emails.
She did an amazing job setting up the wedding and reception areas for me. I gave her everything, told her what I wanted, and she made it happen. She got us out the door on time for the ceremony and found us during cocktail hour for a private first look at the reception space before everyone else, but I don’t remember seeing her again during the evening until it was over. I don’t know if I was supposed to have?
There were 4 things that really annoyed me on my wedding day.
· She told me she would need 3 vendor meals, and then only brought 1 assistant, so it was a wasted meal.
· My bustle broke (which I guess is a frequent occurrence??) and she didn’t have anything to help fix it. No emergency kit. No safety pins. She had accidentally left it all at home. Thank goodness, the photographer had some.
· Two of the tables were numbered incorrectly, which led to some minor problems at the start of the reception because one of the tables had 6 people and the other table had 8 people. This was after I printed out and provided her with a copy of the reception floorplan earlier that day.
· Not all of the flowers were used. I wanted flowers everywhere and had provided ~200 assorted vases/bottles to the florist, who had filled and arranged flowers in all of them. When I went back into the setup room halfway through the reception for more lipstick, I saw a dozen or so bottles with flowers still in the boxes that never made it to the reception.
I should have done more research ahead of time. If I was doing this all again, I would probably choose a different vendor to fit better with what I needed.

details I surly would have missed. We got on biweekly calls to discuss everything that needed to be completed and she’d give me “homework” to get done before our next call. These tasks broken up into manageable pieces were exactly what I needed to maintain sanity. Also, Jenn’s eye for design and color is incredible. I had no idea what napkin fold to choose, because frankly who cares? Well Jenn does, and her choice looked stunning. Also, uplighting? Who knows what color to choose? I sure didn’t. Jenn did. The blush she chose day of looked beautiful with our decor. She is the reason our event went as seamlessly as it did. If I could hire her 10 more times, I would. She made everything about the wedding experience easy, breezy, and beautiful. THANK YOU JENN!!!

Needless to say, I had other things on my mind beside what decor we wanted. I sent 5 photos over for idea and the team nailed IT! Jennifer was great to work with and made our dream wedding come true with 5 photos and 3 phone calls. She was also quick with responses as well and gave us some great tips to keep in mind of the day off. Her knowledge of various resources I could use to make my day great was also very helpful. The weather appeared it would not cooperate the day of my wedding and Jenn helped us locate and secure a last minute massive tent with setup and breakdown services. Hiring Janova Events also gave me access to various decor to use within my wedding. One of my most memorable things worth mentioning with Jenn is how kind she is and how she goes above and beyond for her brides. As I mentioned earlier, the weather appeared it was going to pour all day the day of my wedding. When we were going over last minute details a few days prior, it was noted I would not have enough tent space for the caricature I had hired. I was running short on time and in a full blown panic. This was one tiny detail, but something that mattered to me. Jenn offered to run to the store and pick up a 10x10 tent for us. The first couple of stores actually ended up being out of stock, but she did not give up. She eventually found a tent and even ordered a couple of clear umbrellas for the wedding party in case it rained during the ceremony. I didn't even think of how ugly the huge colorful golf umbrellas I had would taint our wedding photos, but Jenn did. Having the assistance of this team on my day was truly a blessing.

ide, but I cant yell this loud enough. HIRE THE PLANNER/COORDINATOR. I am very type A, Very organized and I tell you I can't imagine what my day would've been like without Jennifer and her team. She stays in contact via email, we had a couple phone calls, I got to go view her décor in person. She sends spreadsheets to help you stay on track and on schedule through your planning process. Come wedding day, not only did they bring my vision to life, I told her I trusted her to make whatever last minute decisions needed to make our wedding as beautiful as possible and she did just that. She married my décor with hers and it was timeless. Our day ran smooth and on schedule. There were some large hiccups that were out of Janova's control and my family was able to put their focus on that rather than having to set up my wedding. So many people don't think about who has to do all of these tasks when you don't hire a coordinator and most times it falls on your most important guests, your family. Don't take their experience away by putting them to work. HIRE THE COORDINATOR. She treated my belongings with so much care and packed everything back up beautifully for us. My guests raved about how kind they were. So thank you Jennifer and Janova events. Thank you so much for helping turn our wedding into a dream.

I suffer from crippling anxiety and Jenn was able to cushion that every step of the way. Jenn was always reachable and updated me on possible roadblocks I may face.
