Then I was fitted by Charon, the store manager, who also did an amazing job making me feel comfortable. When I picked up my gown, again, I had a positive experience with another salesperson, Marie. I will be meeting my seamstress soon and expect another great experience. Jan's is a large boutique with many choices, professionals who know their stuff and are very helpful. I also paid less for my dress than expected. You can't go wrong selecting Jan's for your bridal needs!

She custom made a lightweight wrap in the event I wanted to conceal my upper arms, helped me coordinate my accessories. So approachable, creative, and professional. Julia is a miracle worker with an excellent sense of humor. I received so many compliments on my daughter’s big day, but, as important, I felt so comfortable and beautiful! said, wait a minute, let me see what I can do. So I waited, thinking this will never happen and all of a sudden, she came back and escorted us to the gown area. She looked at me and said very confidently, I have the dress for you. I tried it on and tried on a few more just because I wanted to be sure but she was on target from the start. Leslie knows her stuff! I ended up buying the dress she suggested as there were no others that looked as beautiful as this one on me. I had to visit the store several more times and durin each visit, Charon would always greet me by name. She handles the ordering at the desk and a myriad of other tasks. She was always so friendly and welcoming making sure that I was comfortable. We had the greatest chats while I was waiting. I felt more like a friend than just a customer. Brenda, the designer and seamstress, is the ultimate professional! Not only is she an expert with alterations, but she also advised me on appropriate jewelry, hair styles and whatever else would compliment the gown. The gown had a very long train and, not wanting to bustle it, Brenda came up with the perfect solution. She suggested using the material that would otherwise have been discarded to create a wrap. The wrap is lined and exquisitely crafted. She solved every issue with grace, charm and expertise. From beginning to end, my experience at Jan's Boutique was exceptional.

It was navy blue and had sequins, which I swore I would never wear! She coaxed me into putting on the dress that I am wearing to my daughters wedding! This blue dress with sequins made me look 15 pounds lighter, 🎉🎉🎉!!! It works with my complexion and I have curves I thought were long gone. This wonderfully funny, compassionate woman is the reason I’m going to look and feel amazing as “The Mother of the Bride”. Lenore actually called me that evening when she was at Her Home, to make sure I felt good about my dress. I have even gone bAck to find a “little black dress” for my daughter’s bridal shower; and again Lenore hands me the “ugliest dress I have ever seen”. When I tried it on and looked in the mirror I really didn’t recognize myself. I looked and felt like a “lady”. The dress is right out of a glamorous 1950’s movie! Go to Jan’s and ask for Lenore. She is magical.

us. Our idea of what she wanted was more suited to the young lady department and the consultant in that department nailed the exact dress that she dreamed about wearing to her rehearsal. I had an appointment that was scheduled for an hour later which we thought we would have to leave and come back, but we were escorted into the mother-of-the-bride department and I found at least five contenders. I loved each and every one and settled upon the perfect dress for myself. We purchased both and made appointments together for the fitting. Asunta met us at our next appointment and went straight to work on both of our dresses giving us her opinion about what we should have done. She listened to my concerns about my dress being a bit too low-cut for a mom and she remedied it for me without hesitation. We went today to try on our dresses and they were PERFECT. The staff is fun and friendly, they listen to their customer's ideas of what they want, and they do not try to upsell or push something that isn't suited to that client. I will be returning from now on for any cocktail dresses I need in the future. They also have gorgeous sportswear which I will definitely be purchasing in the future. You won't go wrong with Jan's. Make your appointment and enjoy yourself!

ed what I was looking for, I told her. She looked at me and told me that I was much larger than what I was telling her. She then proceeded to tell me there isn't much of a selection in that size and figure out if I want to pay $500-$1,000 or over $1,000. She showed me the dresses and they were all hideous and looked like they have been there since 1990. She kept trying to force the ugliest dresses on me. I tried one on and it was awful. I could go on and on. I ended up having a panic attack and had to go outside for air. My mom told her we are done here and said we will just go to the mall. I was so upset and really dreading going to the mall. We went to several stores but due to supply & demand most stores did not have anything. I found my dream dress at Macy's. It was smaller than my normal size, fit me like a glove, and made me feel beautiful. We went to check out and it was on sale. I ended up with a beautiful gown and shoes for less than $100. Stay away from that place if you aren't size 0 and have an unlimited budget. Will NEVER recommend Jan's to anyone.
