What can I say?! Jan was truly a blessing. Her work was not only impeccable, but she was helpful throughout my entire wedding planning process! Any question I had, she was able answer. She has remarkable taste and her suggestions helped me improve my vision for my wedding event. Additionally, Jan was so accommodating, and was able to work around my busy schedule. She made the whole process so easy! Jan showed me tons of beautiful cards and fonts, which made choosing a style easy. Within just a few short weeks we had our invites back with all of the names and addresses printed beautifully. She also did my escort cards in a moment’s notice and had them alphabetized upon pick up! Not to mention, she fixed all of my mistakes (spellings, addresses, etc.). Thank you Jan for all you did to help make my wedding day perfect!

We used Jan for calligraphy on our wedding invitations. I have yet to find a vendor who was as devoted to a client's event. She was more accommodating than I could have imagined. Even though she did not make a single mistake, she very kindly corrected mistakes I had made and did last minute additions in the quick amount of time that I needed. She even learned to match the font on our invitations with very short notice. While willing to do whatever you would request, she also had helpful opinions if you needed them. I would recommend her to anyone looking for event planning, calligraphy, or invitation assistance.

We used Jan’s calligraphy services for invitations and save the dates for our wedding held at the Providence Public Library in Providence, RI. She offered much guidance and patience when answering our questions, particularly in light of my indecisiveness with many details. My emails and phone calls were always answered with the utmost professionalism and insight. We heard such great things from our guests about how they loved the uniqueness of our save the dates and invitations. I would highly recommend Jan!

I was referred to Jan by my Wedding Planner. She honestly amazed my husband and I with not only how talented she is, but how easy and fun she is to work with. The whole wedding process can be confusing with all the different aspects and "little things" that need to be done, especially when it comes to making your "list". Jan helped tremendously with making this part as smooth as possible. She has a great eye for catching even the smallest mistakes, and even goes as far as looking names up that she feels may not be spelled correctly. We honestly were very impressed by her work ethic to start, and then when she finally presented her beautifully hand-crafted work....it was the icing on the cake!!

Jan is the most trustworthy, talented person I know! She will go out of her way to make anything happen. I had called her at 11:30pm in a panic, and she still took me on as a client instead of telling me to go elsewhere (which is something I probably would have done!). Her work is out of this world. Jan did my place cards, menu's and thank you cards for my special day. I still look back, and can’t believe how perfect everything came out. Jan has also done some framed poems for us. Aside from being a talented vendor she is now a great friend!

We were recommended Jan from the store we ordered our invitations. We worked with her over the phone and the calligraphy was beautiful. Not only did she do the addressing, but she took them to the post office and had them hand stamped. We then had her do our place cards. Overall she was great and was able to quickly turn the items around for us.

Jan Garver of Janscript Calligraphy coordinated our entire wedding, which was held at the famous Tavern-on-the-Green Restaurant in New York City. Jan created a fun yet elegant atmosphere, and her incredible attention to detail made each of our 150 guests feel special and loved. Jan truly creates joy through her work, and every member of our family commented on that fact throughout the night. It truly was, as my wife likes to say, "the perfect wedding". Thanks, Jan. We worked with Jan for our wedding in September of 2008. Jan was amazing. I had a vague, general idea of what I wanted and described it to Jan and she was able to produce exactly what I had in mind (but probably wasn't articulating very well). Not only does she have great intuition, but she was also really creative, and obviously has a ton of wedding-related experience, so she was able to suggest cool things that I didn't even know people were doing. Jan would be great both for someone who likes to work collaboratively and bounce ideas off of someone who knows what they're talking about, and for someone who has their mind set on something in particular, and just needs someone who can properly execute it. Either way, you can't go wrong. As an aside, Jan is also a really sharp, funny, and witty person, so working with her is a really fun experience, and I know I really needed that when I was super stressed out about my wedding. Anyone who can insert some levity into the situation when you're totally panicked about 500 things is a real gem in my book!
