I can not overstate how much my fiance and I regret booking J. Design Studios as our wedding photographer. We booked with him because we thought his price was reasonable, and in spite of the fact that we had heard from other brides and vendors that he could be very difficult to work with and was very quick to be catty and defensive. Between the negative way he talked about other brides and his refusal to honor our requests (before booking with him we asked if he would be willing to take some more posed, traditional shots in combination with his typical style. He said he would be happy to. He later told us that he couldn't guarantee that, and he wouldn't be willing to modify his style because he is an artist), we found him to be unprofessional and not at all flexible. We had to reschedule our engagement pictures at the last minute because he had failed to make the appropriate arrangements. He was also condescending and rude to us, including writing targeted comments on the pictures he posted of us on Facebook and his Facebook status, before deleting our pictures from that site entirely with no warning. We actually had such a bad experience with him that after our engagement session we cancelled with him and found another photographer for our wedding, even though we had already paid him. Sadly, the more we speak with clients and vendors who have worked with him recently, the more we hear the same story. We have since met a number of qualified, professional, reasonably priced photographers in the area. All of the other photographers we have met, along with the other vendors, have been so encouraging, fun, and easygoing; they all really seem to care about customer service and making sure that the finished product not only represents their style and ability but also captures the personality and story of the couple. I never dreamed that we would find someone in this industry who cared so little about customer satisfaction.

Jared and Joanna are by far the best photographers in Springfield. They are very professional and made us feel extremely comfortable during our engagement session and during the wedding. They were quick to answer any questions I have and the price is very reasonable for the high quality of service they provided. We actually switched photographers after a poor engagement session with another person and Jared was very understanding and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our photos. We also did their photobooth at the reception and were thrilled with the results! They provide an actual photographer for the photobooth, which makes the pictures even better. You can't go wrong with J Design!

We used J Design for both our e-session and our wedding! They are great people, and do an amazing job! Very reasonably priced for this area and you get your moneys worth with them! Will be using them for family pictures down the road!

Photography was my one splurge and must have item. I am glad to say that I didn't really have to splurge and still got amazing photos. We came from out of state to meet with Jared (this is a husband and wife team). Jared was able to work on our tight schedule and the unexpected blizzard to meet with us. Jared put our mind at ease about choosing the right photographer. The week before our wedding, we did the engagement shoot that they provide with each package. The Eshoot was fun and easy. On the day of the wedding, Jared arrived to my hair appointment and sat in a room full of girls just to get the right pictures. We chose to do most of our shots before the ceremony. I have never had so much fun taking pictures. None of the pictures were forced or fake. All of the photos come on a disc with printing rights. That alone is worth the value. I would recommend JDesign to anyone. I definitely plan on using them in the future for all of life's events.

I love Jared and his wife Joanna. They were both at my wedding and very informative to my needs. I almost never knew they were there taking behind the scene photos at times you weren't expecting it. They were great to work with and would recommend them to my friends.
