Jasmine Worrell Dance Instruction

Jasmine came highly recommended to us by our wedding planner. From our initial call, we could tell that Jasmine was extremely personable and that we were going to get along great. On that call, she got a feel for who we were as a couple and what we were looking for out of a first dance (something that made us look competent and coordinated, but not highly choreographed). As a gay couple, we wanted to have a dance that was romantic and fun, but without all of the dips and spins that you might see in a more traditional first dance. At our first lesson, Jasmine came to our house prepared with various ideas. She was very patient as we got our bearings and was always super supportive and encouraging while offering up different moves for things that weren’t quite flowing. She recorded us and left us with the instructions to practice - which we did. We went to her studio in San Francisco for the second lesson a few months later. Directions and parking were very easy and we simply fine tuned the moves and added an ending to the dance. We loved working with Jasmine and would do so again in a heartbeat. Our first dance went perfectly on our wedding day and we received so many compliments, not to mention this was a fun experience for us as a couple.

My husband Peter and I asked Jasmine to help us get ready for our first dance as husband and wife in November 2019, and we could not have been more thrilled with our choice to work with her! From start to finish, Jasmine made the process fun, collaborative, and accessible (even for my husband, who had minimal dance experience before our lessons and felt somewhat nervous going into the process). At our first lesson, she helped us choose a song from the list of options we were considering that was easy to dance to and choreographed really nicely. She then (almost effortlessly, it seemed!) built a gorgeous dance routine that was both straightforward for us to learn and beautiful for our guests to watch. Over the course of a few short lessons, Jasmine helped us not only learn the steps of the choreography, but also master the routine so that it felt natural and fun when we were dancing in front of our guests. We surprised our guests with the choreographed first dance routine and I’m so glad we did because it was a huge hit that ended up bringing everyone to the dance floor right away! The rest of the night was so incredibly fun, and the dance floor was absolutely packed until the after-party ended. We were so lucky to work with Jasmine, and we can’t recommend her services highly enough! You will never regret working with her to learn the ropes for your special dance event!

Jasmine is an amazing dance instructor. My fiancé at the time and I felt extremely comfortable and felt that she went the perfect pace for us and really gave us what we were looking for in a first dance! Booking with Jasmine was extremely easy, although book early because her availability fills up really fast! She's is very accommodating and such a nice person! We danced to a mash up by Rick Hale "Fly me to the moon/lucky" where Jasmine helped us incorporate some fox trot and swing moves with lots of spins and twirls to make things exciting! And her signature dip is beautiful and makes for wonderful photos! We were able to get it all down in 2 lessons! We really loved working with her and would recommend anyone looking to choreograph or learn a few dance moves for your wedding to go to Jasmine! We truly can't thank you enough for making our first dance one to always cherish and remember!

Jasmine transformed dancing for me. Before taking a few individual lessons with her, dancing was a huge source of anxiety for me -- I avoided it at all costs. Jasmine helped me find the beat, offered me reassurance about the learning process, and eventually gave me a repertoire of moves to draw on. She also met with me and my partner once, and we came away from our time with her ready for our first dance. I wouldn't have I danced at my wedding if it weren't for Jasmine. Also, she is super reliable, punctual, kind, and professional. I recommend her very, very highly. I am so thankful!
