He answered emails quickly and was very patient with all of our requests and questions. He and his band learned song requests for us and made sure our reception ran smoothly. We also added the additional female vocalist (Chelsea Ritenour) and she was fabulous as well and it was nice to have a female voice for some of the songs we wanted. We also had Jason provide for us a live violinist for our ceremony, John. John also learned song requests for us and did a beautiful job playing the music for our ceremony. We got so many compliments on the band and the music and so many guests telling us that their favorite part of the wedding was the dancing at the end of the night! Between the song lists and day of worksheets, we were well prepared and the band just rocked it on our wedding day! They played a mix of songs and satisfied the older guests as well as the younger guests. They even allowed a friend of ours to perform a song with them. f our ceremony and reception were most important to us. He was also very flexible with our song requests, including learning two new songs for our first dance and father-daughter dance (both of which were absolutely perfect, by the way). Plus all of the technical equipment worked well for the ceremony, including the string recordings as we walked down the aisle and the microphone for the officiant. Jason kept the energy flowing throughout the reception and added in an additional goofy dance that we requested. I lost track of how many guests asked us where we found the band for our reception, they just kept raving about what a wonderful time they had. The dance floor stayed full all night long thanks to Jason and his band. The horn section made the bride cry with joy! and worksheets are straightforward and user friendly. In terms of their talent, not much else to say other that this group brought the house down. We were surprised at their musical range, its no exaggeration when I say they can play anything well, playing hits from 50s to the 2010s across many genres. Our guests loved them, with family and friends still bringing them up months later. As two people with very different tastes and music, both my husband and I loved their music. They also were great in how flexible they are as Jason made it clear up front they'd be happy to play whatever we wanted and would learn whatever songs they didn't know with enough notice ahead of time. We had them play our first dance (in Your Love, by Tyler Childers) and they truly did it justice. Overall, a fantastic and talented group to work with and that I highly recommend.

wife and I (and the majority of our wedding guests) are avid live music lovers. When tasked with choosing a band for our wedding, I wanted more than anything to find a band that my wife and our guests would be impressed by. After seeing Jason perform in my hometown of Hilton Head Island, SC and talking with him the same night, I realized JKP was exactly the band that I was hoping to find. Here’s a couple of reasons to hire them: Jason truly cares about making your wedding day special. He was never reluctant to any of our wacky requests and his genuine approach and years of experience put my wife and I at ease in what was a very stressful time in our life. They are not only amazing musicians but they are amazing entertainers. They played music for our ceremony, MC’d the entire night, performed a relaxing Jazz set for our cocktail hour, learned one of our favorite Weezer songs, got all of our guests to dance all night with their wide range of material, and flawlessly sung and performed difficult songs from artists most wedding bands wouldn’t dare to attempt- like Under Pressure by Queen and Highway to Hell by AC/DC. Being that I've been in the local music scene for over 20 years, we had dozens of musicians in our bridal party and as guests and I can't think of one of them that weren't blown away by the band's performance. They were very tight and polished. Every request i had during our planning stage was granted. They were honestly worth every penny. My friends and family will be raving about our reception for a long time and most of the credit belongs to Jason and hid band.

g all night long. (HA) They rocked the house and were so. much. fun. The unexpected 90's hip-hop mash-up? Spectacular. The Blink 182 / Good Charlotte / Fall Out Boy / alt rock sing-a-long? Inject that into my veins. The cherry on top, though, I must say - was the fact that this all-male band learned "Love Story" by Taylor Swift just for me - to close out the night - and it resulted in probably the best moment of my life. (Besides getting married to my soul mate and all) Anyway, they are SO talented. They are PROFESSIONAL. They are respectful and kind. If you want your dance floor packed all night, these are the guys for you.

Jason Kendall was also incredibly easy to work with and made the entire planning process personal and fun. He was quick to answer any questions my husband and I had, and truly remembered every single detail to pull off the perfect reception. My husband and I couldn’t recommend this band enough! It’s been over a month and friends and family are still bringing up how fun the night was.

is group blew me away. I knew they would be good, but I didn't know they would be THAT GOOD! On top of that, Jason was one of the kindest vendors I encountered in all of Pittsburgh. He was communicative, kind, thorough, personable, and patient. He spoke with me and my family for hours as we sorted out the right package, instrumentation, and then the right flow of events for the evening. Jason takes the time personalize your wedding reception. I don't believe anyone in the area does that. His team is creative and flexible. He made our day unforgettable and the dance floor was full all night!!! So grateful to work with them. Don't second guess this choice - we spent hours debating on the right band and working with them was definitely the right choice.

o the next level. A few specifics that might help future brides and grooms… 1. I am literally repulsed by most wedding MCs. I find them cheesy and annoying. Jason and DJ Digital Dave (who did some MCing as well) weren’t like that. I wanted the tone to be more along the lines of a fun night out with friends and family… their announcements kept the programming moving and made it a wedding, but didn’t detract from that vibe. 2. Jason works his butt off but makes it look effortless. He played acoustic guitar and sang for cocktail hour, played live sax and beats for dinner, and then headed up the band for dancing. He even played about 35-40 minutes after the venue technically closed because no one wanted to leave the dance floor. That’s a lot for one human but it didn’t seem to phase him- he brought the energy 100% of the time yet wasn’t annoying about it either. 3. I’m so glad we splurged on the DJ/ Band combo. Jason works closely with DJ Digital Dave- who is actually a club DJ and does live mixes. Look him up- he’s the real deal. This allowed us to do two turn tables and a live sax during dinner. It gave our wedding a fun, upscale, yet approachable vibe. It wasn’t old dinner music like Kenny G or something… quite the opposite…he even did a childish gambino cover on the saxophone. Such a vibe… energizing but not overly distracting. It was cool but still gram gram approved. Additionally the DJ/ Band combo not only allowed us have full range of songs but we were able to get pretty creative as well. For example.. they did live drums to ‘Teach Me How to Dougie’. It was sick. With so many weddings happening now.. I for one am pretty bored with the typical wedding music. All of the song choices were exciting yet accessible to all. 4. The dance floor was packed. So our venue was set up in a way that the dance floor wasn’t centrally located AND the bar was in the other room. This would have been the kiss of death for an average band or DJ. Yet after they got going it was packed. If your venue is chopped up (like the Duquesne Club or whatever.. for reference we were on the lower level of the Monterey Bay) and you want people to dance, you’ll need to invest in above average music. 5. They are experts in their craft. As such, they do not need micromanaged. I was worried about the sound being too loud given the low ceiling at our venue but it was a non issue. They have such a gift, not only for playing music but reading the crowd responding accordingly. I sent them an obnoxious amount of music requests but at the end if the day they knew what we wanted to hear before we even knew it! Long story short, if you want good music reach out to Jason!! We couldn’t be happier.

Jason made planning SO easy for us, and was super accommodating with requests. They even let my brother (who is a professional drummer) play a song during our reception, which was such a special moment we are so grateful for! Our guests raved about the band all night long and we are STILL getting compliments! They are kind and so so talented. I would highly recommend them for any special event!!!

Even though we knew entertainment is a very important part, given all the other planning we had to do and with everything else going on in our lives, we only had time to give our selections for the main songs in the ceremony and reception. We asked Jason Kendall to do what he felt was best reading the crowd. And we could not have been happier with both the talent throughout the day and professionalism of working with the band in the entire process. Throughout the night, we kept getting people asking how we found the band and that they were incredible. Almost a week later, I am still getting messages and texts regarding how great they were and because of them, the dancing never stopped! One sweet touch is that he knew our intention was to give him a playlist of Italian music but as mentioned, we just did not have the time to put it together. He surprised with several songs he added on his own and that was greatly appreciated!

Our wedding reception on 7/10 was FAR from normal, and Jason and his band were ready and willing to roll with the punches, read the room, and put on a SHOW that friends and family members have been RAVING about ever since. I gave them my full trust to play what they felt was appropriate during the wedding, and they did so perfectly. Jason was also so ready and willing to help my Dad's band set up and borrow their equipment to play a short set in the middle of the wedding, which made my dream of having them play a reality. HT - it was PACKED and so much fun!! We had several people ask us who they were, how to book them and numerous people even went up to them during the reception to try to book them for future events - our guests could not get over how amazing they were. We got so many compliments throughout the night and even now (several months after) people are still raving about how good the band was. It didn't matter which song was playing, the dance floor was completely packed all night. They also took requests from the guests and I swear they had just as much fun as we did. They also went above and beyond and LEARNED A NEW SONG for our first dance - AND allowed us to have a guest singer for it (a childhood friend) - they took the time to schedule a rehearsal with her beforehand and it literally could not have been more perfect. We also used them for the 3 piece jazz band during cocktail hour, and it was outstanding. They truly are above and beyond talented and willing to go out of their way to make your day everything you imagine it to be. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They have a great reputation, very professional, loads of experience in weddings & events, their set list is so impressive and growing all the time. Can't say enough good things. Jason has a way of feeling the crowd, doing the right thing at the right time so as to not kill the mood. The flow of the night and timing of speeches, songs and special dances was perfect.

Jason asked for our preferences for our big day, and incorporated all of our requests and then some. Not only did they deliver on the live music, but they were also able to accommodate our requests for a few recorded tracks as well. My mom and dad (both a current and former professional musician and jazz aficionados) were extremely impressed with their musicianship. So was I, of course, but what what folks didn' t see--and what contributes to a 5 star review--was also Jason's flexibility and professionalism when our timeline got slightly off track and we needed to re-arrange and/or cut a few things from the schedule.
