We cannot recommend Trent and his team enough! They were professional, kind, and so much fun to have around on our wedding day. They had so many great ideas for how to pose, and really made the whole family photo taking process so stress-free. Best of all was the turnaround time for the photos. The photos came within just a few weeks of our wedding, and are beautifully edited and organized. Our guests are SO happy with their portraits, as are we! We'd recommend Jasper & Oak to anyone.

I’m Trent Stevens, a Southern California and Central Coast-based wedding videographer, and the proud founder of Jasper & Oak—named after my cat and the beautiful coastal oak chaparral that inspires my work. Here at Jasper & Oak, we offer a range of services, including cinematic videography, photography, photo booths, and audio guestbooks, all dedicated to capturing the essence of your love story. A Legacy in Storytelling My love for photography runs deep. Raised by parents who met in a college photography class, I grew up immersed in the world of cameras and creativity. My late father even owned one of the first digital one-hour photo printing labs in the country, giving me early insight into the evolving world of visual storytelling. Since then, my journey has taken me from capturing big wave surfing, with work featured on the cover of The Surfer’s Journal, to visual journalism at Ventura’s Brooks Institute. My photography has been published by Patagonia, Surfer Magazine, The Olympic Channel, and more. I fell in love with wedding videography in 2016 while filming a friend’s wedding. Events like these, rich with joy and personality, are some of the most meaningful stories to capture. In 2022, after encouragement from industry peers, I committed fully to this path, founding Jasper & Oak with a vision to create films that are both authentic and cinematic, preserving these moments as treasured family histories.

ded up being a preferred videographer for our amazing coordinator Courtney Haynes of One Sweet Day. We thought this was a full circle moment, and a sign that we had to book him for our Camarillo Ranch House wedding in May. Not to mention, he was one of the less moody lighting we've seen. We prefer a brighter lighter look! Trent was always cool and collected, down to earth and made you comfortable to be in front of his camera. We loved the editing and lighting of all the videos and we got them back so timely, we still didn't have the brain, post wedding, to watch it right away. He and his team captured our wedding with so much detail, and i cry everytime I rewatch the day. He was so accommodating with being able to be our photobooth vendor and offered the idea of an audio guestbook. If we are lucky to ever have something as extravagant as our wedding again, we'd 100% look to seeing if we can have Trent at it all over again!

g/watching some of his videos of other couples, we knew we'd found the perfect photographer/videographer to capture our special day. We are SO happy with our choice. We also did an engagement shoot with Trent. It was such a fun, memorable experience, and helped us all get to know each other before the big day. The day of, we had 8 hours of photo and video service from getting ready to our sparkler send-off. Trent's entire team of four made sure to capture every detail. The composure of the video content was insanely beautiful. Our photos are everything we could have asked for. Our family and friends are in awe and we of course are so satisfied. Watch some of Jasper & Oak's videos, and when you find yourself crying at complete strangers' wedding videos you'll know, like we did, that you've found everything you could ask for in a wedding photographer & videographer. Photos and video are the one thing you will have after your wedding to take you right back to that beautiful day that, as they say, goes by way too fast. On the day of the wedding, the Jasper & Oak crew were extremely professional and attentive. They understood the best angles at the venue, and as a result, we have stunning sunset photographs. lented he is. I did not know, however what it felt like to be the bride in the hands of a true professional. Trent and his team handled every detail even though I was one of those brides who had no idea what was going on and gave him very little direction. I'm also not very good at selfies and I don't know how to pose, but Trent made my husband and I look amazing and flattering and made the whole thing to easy. He was on time, in all the right places at the right times, got all the family members in the different groupings efficiently and made sure everyone looked polished and natural. Did I mention that he is hilarious? Having Trent cracking jokes all night made it so easy to be less nervous in front of the camera and smile genuinely in all the special moments. He captured the light so well. He made our backyard venue look like a classy paradise in the way he captured the light. As cliche as it is, what they say is true: the wedding comes and goes fast, but the photos and videos are forever. They look stunning and were returned to us quickly.
