He fell in love with weddings when filming a friend's special day in 2016 and, in 2022, opened his own business to continue capturing some of the most meaningful moments ever. It fills Trent with so much joy to preserve these special occasions that become treasured parts of family histories.

I’m Trent Stevens, a Southern California and Central Coast-based wedding videographer, and the proud founder of Jasper & Oak—named after my cat and the beautiful coastal oak chaparral that inspires my work. Here at Jasper & Oak, we offer a range of services, including cinematic videography, photography, photo booths, and audio guestbooks, all dedicated to capturing the essence of your love story. A Legacy in Storytelling My love for photography runs deep. Raised by parents who met in a college photography class, I grew up immersed in the world of cameras and creativity. My late father even owned one of the first digital one-hour photo printing labs in the country, giving me early insight into the evolving world of visual storytelling. Since then, my journey has taken me from capturing big wave surfing, with work featured on the cover of The Surfer’s Journal, to visual journalism at Ventura’s Brooks Institute. My photography has been published by Patagonia, Surfer Magazine, The Olympic Channel, and more. I fell in love with wedding videography in 2016 while filming a friend’s wedding. Events like these, rich with joy and personality, are some of the most meaningful stories to capture. In 2022, after encouragement from industry peers, I committed fully to this path, founding Jasper & Oak with a vision to create films that are both authentic and cinematic, preserving these moments as treasured family histories.
