Jon Brown began his storytelling career after graduating from film school and working on various film sets in Atlanta. After meeting the love of his life, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he started out as a contract videographer and editor before joining a professional wedding videography company as an in-house editor. With five years of experience capturing and editing weddings, Jon decided to channel his passion for storytelling and cinematic narrative by launching his own independent company. Working personally on every project, Jon brings intimacy, intentionality, and creativity to each film he creates.

I had to wait to write this review because words alone don’t feel powerful enough to describe just how incredible this man is at what he does. Our wedding day was full of emotion, love, and once-in-a-lifetime moments—and he captured it all with such grace, precision, and artistry. From the very beginning, he made the entire process feel effortless. He was kind, personable, funny, and incredibly professional. It truly felt like having a friend behind the camera who just happened to be insanely talented. He went above and beyond for us in every way, and we felt so taken care of throughout the entire experience. If you’re looking for someone who will not only deliver a beautiful final product but also be a calming, positive presence on your big day—look no further. We are incredibly grateful for the beautiful wedding film put together by Jon. The music, voiceovers, and every precious moment captured of us, our families, and our guests were beyond anything we could have imagined. It truly felt like every important detail was thoughtfully included. Beyond the amazing final product, he was also such a joy to work with-- so easy to connect with, friendly, and genuinely excited for us and our story. His gifting and passion for creativity really showed, and he brought such great energy. He was professional and punctual throughout the whole process. Jon with Jay Bee Films was absolutely amazing. Between the energy he brought on our wedding day to our amazing videos we got after, he definitely beat our expectations by far. Jon was so great and easy to work with on our wedding day and I truly felt like he knew all the perfect moments and angles to capture. We received our footage back extremely quick and the highlight video that was put together was outstanding. Truthfully could not have asked for anything else from a videographer and would recommend to everyone!

Highly recommended! Jon was reliable, engaged, accommodating, and easy to work with on the wedding day. We were initially on the fence about hiring a videographer at the start of our planning but are so glad we did! We found Jonathan on The Knot. Honestly we hadn’t really thought about hiring a videographer because we considered it to be out of our budget. However, after hearing several brides tell me their regrets at not hiring a videographer - I started to look around. I was definitely stressed because it was a little late in the planning process to be looking at any other vendors.. but I didn’t want to regret not trying. Jonathan was very prompt, and easy to talk to. Not to mention, extremely affordable for all that he offers! We scheduled a phone call to discuss his different rates, options, and our overall vision. Our phone call made me feel so much better, and made me confident that we wanted to work with him. We are also very impressed by his portfolio!
I am so thankful that we decided to work this into our budget. Jonathan was a dream to work with. He worked seamlessly with our photographer, and provided us with stunning videos that I will cherish forever.
Jonathan, keep doing what you’re doing. You’re a blessing to the industry.

Cannot recommend enough! Jon was amazing to work with, super proactive and engaged from the onset. On the day of our wedding he put everyone at ease. None of us had ever been filmed before, so he eased us into it by setting up shots when needed while also letting the day unfold naturally. The videos turned out better than we could have imagined! Crazy high resolution, true to color with a romantic, dreamy quality to the editing. I’m so so happy we have these memories forever!

Jon was everything we hoped for and more! He was very kind in our consultation and asked us lots of different questions about our style and what we were looking for. On our wedding day, he was there on time, was exactly where he needed to be to get the best footage all day/night, and we didn’t even have to think about it because he had it handled. Very professional and knows what he’s doing! Our video was delivered even quicker than we expected and it’s everything we imagined and more! We love it and can’t wait to look back on our special day captured so beautifully for years to come. Jon did a fantastic job on our wedding. He captured all the different aspects of the ceremony. He was on time and spent some time talking to me making sure he understood what he needed to know. His turnaround for the video was excellent. Moreover the video was well prepared. We will cherish this video for a lifetime. Jon’s fee was very worthwhile. I highly recommend Jon for his service.

I had a smaller intimate wedding and reached out to Jonathan just 6 weeks before my wedding date. He was able to accommodate on a short time frame and delivered the most beautiful and sentimental video and documentary film. His personality is calming on a stressful day. Highly highly recommend him
