Jay Kazen Photography

After talking to what felt like 100 photographers choosing Jay was a no brainer. Jay did our engagement photos, my bridal portraits and our wedding day. With each shoot he showed up with a lot of ideas which helped because my husband and I are not always the most natural in front of the camera. That said, Jay captured us perfectly, truly showcasing the essence of who we are. He was patient when giving us guidance when we were being incredibly awkward or forgetting our right vs. left. We had a lot of laughs and felt incredibly comfortable. On the wedding day, Jay and his 2nd photographer, were literally everywhere, capturing every detail! They were so wonderful working with out wedding party including some temperamental flower girls! Choosing a favorite wedding photo is virtually impossible because I love them all. Jay was able to capture our love in every photo and I’m quite literally obsessed with each one. Jay is crazy talented and used every element of our venue, both inside and out to create beautiful and lasting memories! Our photos exude the essence of who we are as a couple and showcase our special day in a way I could have only imagined! I’m so grateful for him! I highly, highly recommend everyone scoop him up for their big day!

Jay did a wonderful job capturing our wedding. He’s one of those people that, even though you just met him, makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years - which is so comforting on a huge day that you are very stressed and may feel vulnerable in front of a camera. Not only did he get beautiful shots of our family and friends throughout the entire day, but he also basically doubled as our day-of coordinator. He was a huge help in keeping our timeline on track, and getting everyone where they needed to be, all while remaining patient, calm, and a ton of fun (his Game of Thrones impressions were on point!) We were only back from our honeymoon a few days, and we already had our pictures! They surpassed everything we could have imagined, and we will cherish them forever. Thank you Jay and Brittany for your time and talent. Y’all are the best!

He’s like a photographer, ninja, and wedding coordinator all wrapped into one! 10/10 would recommend for any of your photography needs. He is super talented, fun and his work is AMAZING!

I just took engagement pictures with Jay this past Sunday. And he sent back a beautiful, polished, and well-edited album of photos back just a few days later, on Wednesday! I could not be more impressed. He's an extremely talented nature photographer so he was perfect for our outdoorsy shoot at Lost Maples. He is also reasonably priced and every conversation with him over the Knot and texting was professional and prompt. In person he helped my fiance and I relax as we were both a little nervous and can be awkward in front of the camera haha. He didn't rush us at our shoot, I felt like he was willing to take the time necessary, and accommodated our wants (several outfits, hiking to a couple locations, and using my fiance's motorcycle). Overall, we're really happy with Jay! ☺️

Mom of the bride here. While I am, of course, biased, Jay captured the most breathtaking shots of my daughter in her wedding dress. I cried all over again when I saw the photos. He is so very professional, and he and his assistant seemed to be everywhere at once during the wedding. He is worth every cent!

By far the BEST photographer and person! Jay was a huge part of my wedding and treated me like he was one of my best friends! He even brought me and my girls champagne for the morning of the wedding! Jay was amazing to work with, he's personality is the best! His personality and professionalism was thoroughly impressive to all involved and his ability to photograph a moment in order to create gorgeous and lasting memories is unmatched. Jay is such an incredibly talented photographer! After having huge reservations about a previous photographer Jay completely turned my experience around. Not only did he shoot my wedding which produced some unique, irreplaceable and truly priceless photos but he shot my bridal photos as well. Jay captured our wedding beautifully! We couldn't have dreamed of a better photographer. He was flexible yet punctual and laid-back yet detail oriented. Jay is the best of the best! I could not imagine using anyone else EVER! He comes up with the coolest unique ideas. Or if you have an idea he does everything in his power to make it happen. I had this vision of a sparkler photo at the end of my wedding night, and he not only made it happen, but it’s the coolest most unique sparkler photo I have ever seen. It was circling us perfectly, and then to top it off in the corner there was a shooting star. He also travelled with us to big bend for our engagement photos, and I still to this day get compliments on those. He will be our family photographer for anything and everything we need photos for. Cannot recommend him high enough!

There is not a more professional, comfortable, and exceptional photographer than Jay Kazen. Being in love with Jay's nature photography for a long time, we decided to use him for engagement photos at Big Bend National Park. The photos were incredible, and the wedding photos were just as breathtaking. I cannot recommend Jay highly enough!
