Jay V Photography is located in Naperville, IL, but will travel anywhere to authentically capture your wedding day. Jay V Photography has been in business for over 10 years, and the reviews on both The Knot and Google prove that our couples love us.
As the owner and lead photographer, I'm dedicated to authentically capturing weddings. I know how quickly your wedding will fly by, which is why I focus on capturing the moments while letting you live them. My aim is to document the occasion in a genuine way, creating images that reflect the couple and the celebration they spent so much time organizing.
I will also be real with you: I've also been a high school English teacher for over a decade, and I continue to teach. I share with with couples for several reasons. The people skills that teaching has taught me are essential to running a smooth wedding day. I also know how much work I can take it per year so that I can devote myself completely to my couples. I don't overbook myself and I sensibly cap my weddings every year based on what I can handle. I love teaching literature, as it allow me to dive into stories and witness what drives others. This same passion fuels my work as a wedding photographer, where my goal is to document a couple’s story and what motivates them.
I believes that your wedding photographs should achieve a number of things. First is that they evoke the same feelings that you had on your wedding day. For this reason, I edits the photographs with true-to-life colors, helping to preserve the moment. Second, I believes that the photographs should be yours, which is why digital files are included in each package WITH printing rights. Third, I feel it is greatly important that couples get to meet him before signing a contract. I want couples to feel that they have found the right fit in terms of their photographer. I'm also open to talking with couples about what I can do for them within their budget. At Jay V Photography, this professional aims to ensure that your big day is captured in a way that allows you to hold onto your memories for a lifetime.

On the day of, Jason was able to keep two big families in line and on track and helped me and my husband relax and enjoy being in front of the camera (not something we're typically comfortable with). My nieces/flowergirls were having meltdowns during family pictures and he was so patient trying to get them to pose for the picture. Jason turned the pictures around so quickly and even sent a sneak peak of some the next day which was awesome. We are obsessed with how our pictures turned out and could not recommend Jason enough. er I have ever experienced. Even before we got the photos back everyone in the bridal party was raving about him and his partner. They made everyone feel so comfortable and made the picture taking process so fun for all! They felt like wedding guests and we’re such a great addition to the day. Jay called my sister the night before to make sure everything was set up how she wanted it and even made her feel better about the weather. He truly set her at ease. hat pictures were important to them, was professional in his approach and explanation ahead of the wedding day. The day of he was on time, organized, knew which pictures he needed and where, focused on making everyone at ease and dealt with the nerves and excitement of everyone with true grace. The wedding was in a Catholic Church which has very specific rules related to photography and ceremony and he respected all of the rules and rites of the church. He also had picture running on a screen during the ceremony that we were able to view and got sneak peak to us the same weekend, while having a second wedding to work on. The other 3 weddings I’ve been part of took 5-7 weeks minimum for sneak peaks to be available and the amount of time it took to take photos are up cocktail hours and much of the receptions. With Jason and the way he organized, the quality of photos was not compromised in the least and we got to the most important part, celebrating my brother and now new little sister more quickly!

ason went above and beyond to work with us throughout the planning process. He made the process of organizing the day easy and smooth. He was extremely organized and knowledgeable. I had many questions and he was so patient and helpful in incorporating everything we wanted in our day. He spent his time going over the schedule of events with us the days leading up. I felt very confident in his abilities and vision for our wedding. The day of the wedding, he played a major role in continuing to move our wedding party along. He kept us on track which I appreciated especially with all of the family photos after our ceremony. Jason was able to capture the raw moments of our day that made it all so much more special to see later on. Many of the photos we received back were very special moments that are so thankful to have to keep forever. ng. We got a few photos at the end of the night of our ceremony which was such a special treat to see. I have a big and fairly rambunctious family and was worried about timing for our ceremony pictures but he was respectful yet timely with the whole process. Based on my tight schedule I didn't think we'd have much time to take many good couple pictures, or so I thought. He was able to capture BEAUTIFUL pictures with the short time we had and he found a sliver of time to snag us out for sun setting pictures which I never thought about. I am so glad he did. He pays attention to details and was very patient with my family when I know they can be difficult. Thankful for that about Jay.
