Jay was my wedding videographer in 2018 and he did an amazing job!!! I watch the short film often and I still tear up each time. Jay captured the special moments with such beauty. This will be money well spent. I told Jay I wanted my video to make me cry. It captured the day, the love my husband and I have for each other, and the creative way he told our love story. Because I had a covid wedding, I had to make everything smaller. So there were no getting ready pictures with the bridemaids and groomsmen. Jay told me there wasn't enough footage to create my vision. So we got dressed again. It was a great thing we did. It goes to show that he'll go above and beyond to give you what you asked for. I'm sure there was enough footage to fulfill his contract, but he made sure I got what I paid for. My husband and I are so in love with our video. The video itself is creative, high quality, and well done. There is nothing I would change. I watched it at least 10 times on the first day he sent it to me. I've cried every time. It brought me right back to my wedding day. I felt all the feelings I was having on that day. I was reminded why I love my husband so much. Please hire Jay. You won't regret it.

Part Two: I already wrote a review a couple months ago but Jay needs a part two! Today we received our wedding film and loved it so much! We decided to do something a little different and did a 30 minute cinematic story film. I haven’t seen a lot of videographers do this but I had full faith Jay with kill it like he always does! Needless to say I was right and our video was AMAZING!!! I was crying, laughing, smiling, and just so full of joy watching this film! Jay was the videographer for my sister's wedding this October at Rosecliff mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. When she asked me to look at different video options, Jay was clearly the most talented. His videos were beautiful quality and extremely emotional...they made me cry more than any other video my sister showed me! On the actual wedding day Jay's team was very easy to work with, and his whole team was friendly and great in making suggestions. What may have impressed me the most though was how quickly he turned around an Instagram-friendly video after the wedding. The video is so romantic and stunning, and even better than what I imagined. I know my sister is thrilled with his work, and it's easy to see why. Our family is so grateful to have these videos as the ultimate keepsake of my sister's wedding day!

My husband Craig and I live in NYC, and when it came to finding a videographer for our wedding at Rosecliff in Newport, RI, we didn't know where to begin. I am admittedly picky with quality and storytelling, and the few Newport videographers I liked were all already booked very far in advance. What I didn't know at the time was that this was a blessing in disguise because it forced me to expand my search to the broader New England area, and that's how I found Jay whose work vastly exceeds any of the other videographers I had considered. I'll start with the quality – his videos are now all shot in 4K, which I didn't even know was a thing, but you can instantly tell the difference. He also is a licensed Drone pilot, which was essential to our gorgeous Rosecliff bird's eye views. His wedding films look movie quality with their combination of premium technology, music and storytelling. So beyond his equipment, Jay is incredibly professional, kind and eager to please and exceed expectations. He was extremely calm and professional on our wedding day, as were his two assistants. My whole bridal party and family commented on how nice they were to work with. And as professional as Jay is, he is very comfortable and communicative however is easiest (email, calls, texts, etc.) Photo and video were two of the most important parts of my wedding day, and I really appreciated how I could always text Jay, and how we could both gush over our genuine excitement for my Rosecliff wedding. Jay's enthusiasm was contagious and constantly lifted me up when I was stressed, as brides tend to be close to the wedding day. Post-wedding upon viewing our wedding trailer (which was delivered in a matter of days, by the way), Jay and I continued to gush together. But above all, and perhaps most importantly – beyond the high-quality equipment, the professionalism and sincerity – Jay has an unbelievable eye and natural intuition for what makes a beautiful shot and an impactful story. When choosing videographers I consulted my older sister who is somewhat of a wedding video connoisseur, and in explaining why Jay was her clear favorite, she said his videos were the ones that made her cry the hardest! I cannot recommend Jay enough. I feel so lucky he shot our wedding day. He truly elevates what a wedding video is into art. Multiple people who saw our wedding trailer said it deserves an Oscar, and I couldn't agree more...I can only imagine what the longer videos will be like! Thank you Jay!!!

Jay was always on hand to chat with us leading up to the wedding, understood our taste, and provided a great injection of enthusiasm! We cannot say enough great things about Jay and his team. We were lucky enough to get introduced to Jay on our search for a wedding videographer in Boston. From our very first meeting, we knew we made a great decision in choosing to work with Jay. His passion and creative energy could be felt instantly and jumped right in to get to know me and my (now) husband and to understand how we envisioned our wedding day. Throughout the entire planning process, Jay continued to check in and to make sure we were feeling good and of course to answer any questions. I know he is busy and has a lot going on with other weddings, but he always made us feel like we were important! He went out of his way to take anything off of my plate that he could, offering to connect with other vendors one-on-one to discuss day of logistics and to be a direct point-of-contact if other vendors has questions related to his work. It was a huge help to me and so appreciated! Jay definitely has a vision and specific esthetic, which is what drew us to his work originally. The candid, photo journalistic style of his work was exactly what we were going for. We really wanted to work with someone who could capture the little moment of the evening in a way that told a story but felt "real" -- that was exactly what we got with Jay. In all honesty, I was not sure at first if I was going to have a videographer at our wedding at all. Now I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions we made! Jay and his team were an absolute pleasure to have around on the wedding day itself -- he made sure to get all of the shots that he needed without ever being disruptive to the activities going on and he worked seamlessly with our other vendors. Most of the time, we didn't even know the cameras were around!! I was very, very excited to see the final video, and while it did take a few months (as expected!), once I saw the video, I understood completely why he took the time that he did to edit it. The video is absolutely stunning -- he went above and beyond to give us a video that so perfectly captured the love, emotions, and pure energy of our whole wedding day and night. The way that he pieced it all together, stringing shots of video with the words of our vows and of the speeches, came together beautifully. So many of those little moments go by so quickly that I missed them on our actual wedding night, so having this video to watch over and over again and to be able to see those little moments and relive it all is so special. What was just as amazing was the quality of the "raw footage" that Jay provided -- it was compiled and even edited to an extent that it felt like a mini documentary, as well. I could not believe how much effort went in to every element that Jay delivered. Truly amazing work. I think I have watched our wedding video a thousand times already, and every time I still get the chills. I can't thank Jay and his team enough and feel so lucky that we had them to capture our wedding on film -- I am forever grateful to have this video to look back on.

By some miracle and amazing luck, Jay was available to shoot our wedding with only three weeks notice. We went back and forth for two years about whether or not we could afford a videographer and it came down to a "will you regret not having some video memories of your wedding?" and the answer to that was a YES for us. I emailed 18 videographers (seriously, 18) 3 weeks before my wedding and could not be more grateful that Jay wrote back to me and was available!! We were drawn to his work instantly, it really stood out in terms of artistic ability and quality. Jay was courteous, quick to respond via email and super helpful as he worked with us to pull together a timeline and game plan for the day. He even texted me to check in a few times leading up to the wedding to see if we needed anything. We just thought that was the sweetest. He was very patient in explaining poses and instructions especially when I got distracted every 15 seconds and he needed to start all over again!! Jay and his assistant arrived on time and instantly dove in to working with our photography team, shooting details, drone footage and introducing himself to my family. His calm, quiet nature was an excellent balance for a chaotic house full of women getting ready for the wedding! Jay somehow knew which details were important to capture, like a subtle wave to my hubs as I was walking down the aisle or our officiant (my brother) joking about my obsession with rescue dogs and my hubby's obsession with Star Wars. There are so many little touches like this that are so "us" and we are so grateful they made the final cut!! The feedback we keep getting from our friends and family were "I feel like I was there" and "oh my gosh it's like you guys are actually in a MOVIE". We had a very, very small wedding of 25 people and it was important to us to have some video to share with our extended family and friend groups after the fact. We love the artistic style, composition, music, editing decisions, and pieces of the voice over included in this video. Lastly, but in no way least, Jay turned around our almost 5 minute highlight video in TWO DAYS. Seriously, two days. We watched it and cried happy tears over and over reliving the day and being so grateful to Jay and his team for producing this content for us. We will cherish it always. I honestly don't have enough words to say how grateful and pleased my husband and I are. If I could we gave him all STARS. As soon as we stepped in Jay's Studios, we felt like home. He explained us every package and show so many videos that make me so happy because was exactly what I was looking for, that's why we closed deal right away because we knew it was the right decision. Jay was phenomenal to work with, when I first reached out he recommended a FaceTime call where he went over his offerings and answered any questions that I had. I felt a connection with him and could tell he was very passionate about his work. From the the time I booked him up until the wedding, he was the vendor that I communicated with the most - texting almost on a weekly basis (what can I say, I was a very needy client). Jay listened to all the feedback and over the course of our engagement I sent him several examples of aspects I'd like to be included in our film. I got the teaser, short film and documentary edit as part of my package. I also upgraded a few weeks before the wedding and he was very flexible with a payment arrangement, which was appreciated. Although videography may be an extra expense for brides, I highly recommend it in addition to photography because it captures your special day in a way that photos cannot. If you book Jay I have 3 pieces of advice 1. be clear on what his style is to ensure that matches what you are looking for, for example I had to forgo my desire to include a billboard song on our film 2. Be very open about what you like/don't like and 3. understand the turn around time. If those aspects align with your need you will not regret booking JayNandez films for your wedding day!

Choosing Jay to help capture our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made! We went back and forth on if we really needed a wedding video, was it worth the investment, etc. After watching just one of Jays previous videos, we knew this was the right choice. The style and artistic nature of Jays work is truly unmatched, and was like nothing we’ve ever seen before. Working with Jay was also such a great experience! He was super easy to get in contact with, kept in touch regularly, and took the time to really talk with us and get to know exactly what we were envisioning. Words cannot describe how lucky we were to have Jay as our videographer on our wedding day. We found Jay’s work on an online blog shortly after our engagement and we knew without a doubt we wanted him to be a part of our most special day. After speaking with Jay we were 100% confident he would do an incredible job. He really gets to know his clients and is so thoughtful and would even text us over holidays. Jay is super passionate about his work and has a vision unlike anyone else. He invests so much time into making his wedding films everything that his clients wish for. What makes Jay different from any other videographer is how he captures the feeling and emotion of that day. When we first saw our video we were blown away by how it encompassed everything we loved about our wedding. It brought us back to the special moments from that day where we actually felt like we were reliving it right in front of our eyes. I can’t tell you the amount of times we cried watching all of our video back. Our family and friends were so complimentary of Jay and couldn’t say nicer things about him. Jay filmed our wedding with a ton of care and made sure everything was perfect down to the very last detail. He traveled with his assistant to Martha’s Vineyard, MA for our wedding, arriving on the island early in the morning to shoot the Edgartown harbor with his drone. He was with us the entire day and left late at night about 15 minutes before his boat departed. He almost missed his boat because of how determined he was to get every last shot! If you are looking for a videographer to film your wedding day don’t waste your time talking to anyone else. Jay will deliver top quality film that you will treasure with your loved one for the rest of your life! We are so grateful to have had Jay and will always be thankful for the time and dedication he put into making our wedding film an absolute dream.

After seeing my sister's gorgeous wedding video, I just knew I had to get Jay to do mine as well. Thankfully, Jay agreed to come all the way down to Louisiana to film it! Words cannot describe how much of an amazing job he did. You can really tell how much time and effort they put into each shot and how much they truly care about capturing your perfect day. We received the video two weeks ago and I am still receiving compliments on how amazing it looks. When your wedding day seems to only last 5 minutes It's a relief to be able to relive it in such a beautiful way! 10/10 would recommend!

We spent several weeks researching videographers and after a few conversations with various vendors, we selected Jay as our videographer based on his sample videos, his creative style and price. Jay was very personable and professional to work with. We were in contact with Jay through the planning process, he quickly responded to any questions and concerns we raised. The day of the wedding Jay came with his assistant on time according to the plans, throughout the wedding you could see them taking shots of the wedding. About 1 month after the wedding we received the wedding highlight and were amazed by it (the video literally brought me to tears). Jay really captured the special moments of the wedding, he captured our family and friends and even the music selection was perfect. When we first started looking for a videographer we had an idea of exactly what we wanted, but couldn't find it in the area we were getting married. As a Hail Mary we posted on thumb tack and our first response was from Jay. He sent us video samples and we had him booked almost immediately! Jay is the real deal. He worked with us before our wedding day so we knew what to expect. He gave us ideas on how to get a lot unique footage the day of. Oh and that morning, Jay and his work partner showed up early to make sure they got drone(so cool!) footage of the island we were married on. Jay was an absolute professional all day, working in perfect harmony with our photographer and other vendors. We received our shortened video and it was exactly what we wanted!! When the documentary cut came in the mail it was the perfect edit of our day. I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to capture every moment, Jay and his team made sure we did. Picking Jay as my videographer was definitely one of the best choices we made for our wedding. He made himself readily available for any questions we had, and even worked with a family member from out of state who was coordinating things. His attention to detail was made evident not only in his videos, but during our meeting before the wedding. He spends time with you as a couple to understand who you are and find out what things are important to you. On the day of the wedding he and his assistant were punctual and friendly. They were never intrusive or demanding, and were great people to be around. Our footage was absolutely amazing when we got it back. Jay Nandez filmed my daughter's wedding during the summer of 2017. He is knowledgeable, professional and caring with his customers. Overall, he is phenomenal. Jay's final production is emotionally moving. He captures ALL of the important details for the occasion. He leaves no stone unturned. All of the scenes are engaging. I repeatedly watched his production several times. Every time I see it the more I realize how much detail and concern he put into his production. Everyone who has seen this film mentions how professional and beautiful his film is I even got a comment indicating that it was like a Hollywood film. LOOK NO FURTHER!! You have found your videographer!!! My journey to find a videographer actually began with me being pretty hesitant. You see, like so many brides before me I was reluctant to hire a videographer. I asked myself, “Do we really need one?” Our budget was already at the max! The answer I now have is a resounding YES, yes you do! Please don’t have regrets like so many brides. If you are on the fence just know that JayNandez Films is more than worth it. You won’t get a do over on your wedding day, and you won’t regret hiring Jay. I knew he was amazing when I watched other couple’s videos, but I did not expect our video to bring us to tears. My husband held my hand as we watched the film on our couch late one Sunday evening. Within the first few frames tears streamed down our faces. My husband was able to see me that morning getting ready, hugging my mom, laughing and feeling so excited to marry him. I was able to hear him reading his vows to me and it felt like I was right there on that day. The video simply took our breath away. I am in love with it, haha. The music, lighting, how he captures footage...everything was just perfect and so artfully done. He captured the essence of our wedding and the love we have for one another. I have watched it probably 25+ times at this point (maybe more) and will never get bored! I hope to show it to our children one day and grandchildren. Wow! I just received my wedding trailer from Jay and I couldn't be more happy! Initially we weren't sure we wanted a videographer and I can't be more happy that we got one. My husband and I were so thrilled with both videos (the highlight video and the documentary edit) so much that we asked Jay to make it into a DVD so I could gift it to my mom. Every tiny detail was accounted for: the dvd case cover, the credits at the bottom (just like a real movie dvd), a bluray menu option - we were all very impressed. Jay delivered the final products directly to our home because of my last minute request for the dvd. From the customer service to the artistic and technical quality of his work, he is simply one of the best videographers you can find if you are looking to capture your day in truly unique fashion. Most of the videographers merely sent us a quote, and others sent us a generic message about what services they offer, but Jay had taken the time to read our submission and sent us a personalized note, highlighting some of the artistic qualities we said we were looking for in our video and noting why he thinks he can deliver that for us. This meant a lot to us, particularly since so many people in the wedding industry treat everything like a transaction. Jay responded to our requests with lightning speed (on text, email, phone, and Facetime!), and even drove 30-40 minutes to meet us in person on a Saturday morning, specifically so he could learn about our relationship, our love, our priorities, and the theme/vibe we were looking to create with our wedding, all of this prior to us selecting him as our videographer. Upon meeting Jay, we immediately noticed how genuine he is and how much passion he has for his art. I specifically call it art, and not "work," because Jay is a true individual and artist - it's undeniable from watching the trailers on his website: they are mind-blowingly beautiful, versatile in style, and with the perfect subtle balance of theatrics and raw emotion. The most important thing for you to realize in watching Jay's videos is how DIFFERENT all of them are! Jay has an extremely impressive and rare ability to capture the energy and emotions of an event and put it into edited film. This should not be undervalued! So many other wedding videos are "cookie cutter," and while they may be beautifully edited and perfectly acceptable, they do not tell the STORY! My wife and I, and all of our friends and family, were absolutely floored by how well Jay's video, particularly the 5-minute edit, recreated the EXACT energy of our day, from start to finish. Our full-length wedding video was no different... and, true to form, Jay went the extra mile and hosted a private showing with our favorite red wine at his offices to deliver our video, presented in a beautiful custom JayNandez box with thumb drive and personalized DVD, plus a digital version. On our wedding day, Jay and his crew were absolute professionals. They captured every special moment without ever feeling like they were "in the way." They work around you, not the other way around, and we greatly appreciated that. We booked JayNandez Films for our wedding at Mechanics Hall! I researched many cinematographers and Jay's work was over the top! We booked a year in advance and filmed a Save the Date with him. To be completely honest I have not seen a save the date film and was slightly resistant to it but I am 100% happy we did! Our Save the Date was amazing, it was beautiful, well directed, the music, everything about it was perfect and a great start to set the tone for our wedding! Many of guests complimented on it and are anxiously awaiting our wedding short film already! This was the best money we spent in our wedding budget! Jay was fantastic he was so personal and creative he made our special day even more special. Some people told us that you don't need a videographer, and they were completely wrong! The video captures the feeling and emotion that day that a picture can't. You can hear your loved ones voices and see them in the moment and Jay captured everything we wanted and didn't even know we wanted. From the day we first spoke with him he was so quick to talk to us and understand what wanted. Even when asking a million questions he always reassured us that every question was important and to ask anything and everything to make sure we were getting everything we wanted. The day of the wedding came and he didn't feel like a stranger he felt like he was apart of the wedding. He was everywhere but never in the way, he was beyond amazing! I can't say enough how pleased we are with what we got! My husbands family is from the west coast and not everyone could be there for our special day but because of the magic Jay created the were able to see and feel the moments of our wedding. They were able to see and hear the wedding like they were apart of it as well. Jay please know we can never express how grateful we are to have a video that shows everyone that day smiling and talking and dancing and we would never have it if it wasn't for you! Jay and his crew were awesome to have with us on our wedding day. They really exceeded our expectations. They made the sometimes-tense and rushed pre-ceremony hours of pictures and posing fun and laid back. The final product is incredible and we would recommend them to anyone, easily. His prices are also incredibly reasonable in this market.

Very flexible and professional! He traveled all the way up to Maine to shoot our elopement. Communicated thought out the entire process so we were always on the same page. The day of, Jay was a little quiet but after seeing his work, trust his process! He wasn't intrusive in anyway and just captured natural moments. Beautiful work!
