We absolutely loved our wedding cake and cupcakes from JCakes. Our small cake was the perfect size for cutting purposes and our guests loved having all different flavor cupcakes to choose from. Not only did they all taste great but they were presented beautifully. I am extra appreciative that JCakes is a nut free bakery so I could enjoy my wedding cake without worry since I have allergies!
I can’t recommend Jcakes enough. Such a pleasant experience from first inquiries until the wedding day. Brought my mother for the “tasting.” The owner’s mother (I hate that I can’t recall her name) was such a delight to work with. I had gone into the meeting with a retro vibe in mind and she carefully listened and showed me amazing options and ideas that were exactly what I was looking for. Instead of just trying to sell us the most expensive cake for an almost 200 guest wedding, she went over several options on how we could do a smaller wedding cake and do sheet cakes for the majority of the guests (at a much more reasonable price). Sooo refreshing after months of being over charged for everything in the wedding industry. Instead of trying out different cakes and fillings there, we were sent home with 9 full sized cupcakes of various cake, filling, and buttercreams. This allowed my fiancé and I to try on our own time, instead of all at once. Genius. Another superlative that makes Jcakes even better, on your one year anniversary they will remake your top tier for free as long as you call and remind them. This not only is such a nice touch, it allows you to use your top tier to serve guests and not have to order/pay for more servings of cake. Never mind the freezer space you aren’t taking up for the entire year hah! Not to mention, all three flavors (key lime mousse, vanilla cake with strawberry filling, and chocolate mocha mousse we all to die for) 20 out of 10, you’re missing out if you don’t consider them for your wedding cake needs.
My husband and I used Jcakes for our wedding cake and it was awesome! Jessie did such an amazing job. We wanted our cake to be loud and colorful and were struggling to find a cake baker comfortable with our design idea. Jessie was so excited to give it a try and she did amazing. The flavors were delicious too - we did a 3-tier cake with 3 different flavors, one being custom. She was very accommodating and communicative. Highly recommend using her for your wedding and I’ll definitely go back for other events in the future.

I had to scramble to find a new bakery for my wedding cake just a few months out from my big day & Jcakes completely blew me away. The numerous cake flavors they offer made it really hard to chose because there wasn't one we didn't like. We ultimately chose to go with lemon blueberry & it was perfect for our June wedding. We received many complements on our cake & we couldn't be happier with our choice! I couldn't stop myself from eating the entire piece of cake in front of all my guests after our cake cutting- it was so good! I can't wait to go back to Jcakes for other special occasions in the future!
J Cakes was incredible for our Wedding! The process of choosing a cake was very easy, We chose from a sample book and modified the design based on our style. We were sent home with a selection of cupcakes in different flavors to taste, which was lovely as we were able to discuss the different flavors in the comfort of our own home. As pretty as the cake came out, the taste was even better! Many positive comments from our guests, and lots even got up for second servings!
Jessie and the team did a wonderful job on our wedding cake for our January 2024 wedding. We wanted a unique idea, but weren't really sure what. After speaking with us, Jessie showed us some pictures of other wedding cakes she had done and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted.
She also sent us home with like 9 cupcakes to sample the different cakes, mousses, and frosting flavors! All of them were delicious which made it hard to choose (which is not a bad problem to have).
On the wedding day, the cake arrived on time and was absolutely stunning. And most importantly, it was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend Jessie and the Jcakes team!
Jcakes was incredible! I was absolute in love with my cake - both how it looked and how it tasted! We tried many different cakes vendors and were not impressed until we tried Jcakes - it was both delicious and the most affordable. Our cake turned out stunning and we were so delighted! We also loved that they’ll give us an anniversary cake for free! (And that means we will be eating fresh cake; not year-old cake!)
We had red velvet on the top, and strawberry mousse on the bottom - highly recommend
Our wedding was in Watertown, and they delivered an hour away for a small fee. Totally worth it and still a HUGE savings over other local bakeries!
I can't say enough about Jessie and her team. My husband and I went for a consultation where we looked at different designs, we talked about how many tiers we wanted, then were sent home with 9 cupcakes (if i remember correctly).
At the end, we agreed on a flavor and tiers. our venue was a beachside venue, so we had textured buttercream on the outside with burlap threads and seaglass.
It was delicious, reasonably priced, and best of all the ease of working with them. They were very easily accessible by phone. I called Beth a month and half before my wedding saying I am increasing my guest list and made the necessary adjustment right away.
Working with them was a pleasure.
Reasonably priced, excellent cake, outstanding service and most of all - really, really nice people to deal with. Jessie, the owner and Beth, her mom guide you through every aspect of determining how much cake you need. Their tasting includes nine, yes nine cupcakes with a variety of cake, fillings and frostings. You can choose a different kind of cake, frosting and filling for each layer if your cake. Strawberry mousse cake and chocolate mousse cake were fantastic! Spice cake with cream cheese frosting was delicious, too. Don’t waste time going anywhere else. Contact this vendor asap.
We had a great experience with J Cakes. Our wedding cake came out exactly how I envisioned it. Our beautiful 4 Tier Cake was a different flavor on every tier. We got so many compliments on the look and flavor. Everyone said it was delicious. Would definitely recommend J cakes for all of your cake needs.

Had such a great experience working with Jcakes! From the super fun tasting box that I was able to bring home and share with others to the amazing cake they made for my wedding, everything was amazing! I had so many compliments on how delicious my wedding cake was. They were so professional and easy to work with- 100% recommend them for any future events!
TRULY AMAZING!!!!!!!! I tried two different cake vendors who were in the area of my venue, and both cake tastings left me very disappointed. I got in touch with JCakes, and they were super responsive, way better priced than any other vendor, and very easy to work with. Once I picked up a cake tasting box, it was solidified that I was going with them for my wedding cake. Every cupcake in the box was delicious, and they offered me a free bridal consultation where I came in to work with them on the look of the cake and the different flavors. We ended up going with a three tier, semi naked cake, with three cake flavors - vanilla with lemon mousse and blueberry preserves, carrot cake, and marble cake with chocolate mousse.
The cake was delivered on time the day of the event, and they set it up for me (added florals provided by my venue and put on the cake topper). We had a 40 person wedding, and the cake served about 50 people, and there was not a single leftover.
I would highly highly recommend working with Jcakes - they were above and beyond any other cake vendor I reached out to in terms of service, taste, value, and price.
I was so glad I went with Jessie for our wedding cake this past May. She was great to work with and created such a beautiful “coastal” themed cake for our Gloucester wedding. She has a bunch of different cake, frosting, filling options and wants you to try them all to ensure you are happy with your pick. We ended up doing a two tier cutting cake and a sheet cake for serving which made it very cost effective. By the end of the evening we learned that ever single piece was eaten! Needless to say the cake was a hit with our guests! We look forward to enjoying our 1 year anniversary cake from Jessie! Definitely will be purchases future cakes from her as well.
Jessie at JCakes was amazing to work with! She created the wedding cake of our dreams and even incorporated our dog taking a bit out of the cake. Ever flavor was delicious and we could not believe they have a cannoli flavor! We had a blast trying the flavors at the tasting. Our cake was a delicious work of art. Jessie captured our vision perfectly and went above and beyond.
We had a great experience with Jcakes. They baked us a delicious, beautiful cake that fed all our guests and fit our budget. They had many frosting and cake combinations to choose from. Our personal favorites were the fruit mouses. I would definitely recommend Jcakes!
I hired JCakes for my wedding cakes after having been there for birthday cakes and loving them! They were so amazing throughout the entire experience including the finished product. It's clear that they care about your wedding day experience and want to make it as stress free as possible! I had my cake delivered to Sturbridge which is a bit of a hike from Peabody, and JCakes worked with my venue to coordinate a seamless deliver which I very much appreciated!! I had sent a picture of an inspiration cake and also asked for edible flowers and it turned out perfectly!! It was also delicious. I wouldn't hesitate choosing JCakes for your wedding cake, I had an amazing experience!!
We planned our wedding remotely since we live out of state now but working with Jessie from JCakes made the process very easy and reassuring. We had multiple phone calls to discuss our vision and she communicated efficiently via email to make sure ALL the details were answered before the cake was delivered. I didn’t think I explained what I wanted well enough but it came out better than I could have imagined and matched our topper perfectly!
