We chose chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, vanilla cake with fruit filling, and chocolate cake with cream cheese filling. All of the tiers were absolutely incredibly delicious and the cake was almost too beautiful to eat. We chose snowflake piping to fit our winter wedding theme and it was stunning. The bakery made the entire process fun, simple, and the cakes decisions were truly the easiest decisions throughout the wedding process. We highly recommend this bakery!

We wanted a small cake just for my husband and I to do a cake cutting as we were having a venetian hour through the Barns for all of the dessert. J Cakes was able to make the wedding cake of our dreams! I wanted a vintage style heart shaped cake with white frosting and it was adorable!! We did chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and it was to die for!! It was the best cake I have ever had at a wedding! I definitely recommend!

We were able to choose different cake flavors and fillings for each tier, which was helpful since we loved every single flavor we tried at the tasting! My wedding cake was included with my venue's package, so JCakes charged what was included to my vendor which was the majority of the cake, and I paid for any details that were extra (one of the cake flavors and fondant design). We highly recommend JCakes for any occasion, but they are the ultimate bakery for wedding cakes!

with my rather odd request to make our cake topper an actual tree (our last name is Root… so, um… yeah) using the base that I had started. The experience she provides her couples is absolutely top notch… from an expansive included tasting and accommodating special flavor combinations during tasting on request to her included 1-year anniversary cake (which she’ll make for you right away or even a year later). We were blown away by her generous portions and affordability. Next, her cakes… OMG. The cake itself is fantastic - moist and flavorful with one of the best buttercream frostings I’ve ever had. On top of that the fillings are also delicious. I was a little skeptical that a fluffy cream filling would carry enough fruit flavor compared to a jam or compote, but Jessie made a believer out of me. We had chocolate cake for all our tiers and had both raspberry and cookies and cream filling. Finally, the decoration was perfect. We were using a William Morris tapestry as inspiration for the whole event and Jessie easily incorporated that as a wrap around one tier, deftly piped on roots for our tree topper, and included logos for the Celtics & Bucks (a nod to our first dates and my husband’s favorite sport). We had so many compliments about our cake - both for taste AND looks. Also, FYI. They do cupcakes with cool special flavors rotating every week and will also do cupcake orders for special events too. We’ve since moved out of Massachusetts, but you can bet that J Cakes will be a go-to stop for me when I’m coming back.

had asked for piped wildflowers around the cake, and it honestly looked very amateurish. Additionally, it was my sister's birthday on my wedding and I had asked for an extra vanilla cupcake covered in sprinkles (her favorite). What my sister ended up getting was a chocolate / coffee cupcake which would probably be fine for anyone else, but my sister HATES those flavors!! I was very upset about that... Loved the cake itself, but the execution was not there.

was incredibly moist with the lightest of buttercream. Everyone that ate it, loved it. Like seriously it was so good. Working with the team at J Cakes was super easy. They even did our cake tasting outside of their regular business hours since we had wonky schedules on our end. The cake itself was decorated exactly as we had discussed and genuinely no critiques at all. My husband and I are still happily eating leftover cake that somehow tastes just as good a week later as what it did on our wedding night!

We bought a cute cake topper, but if we had trouble finding one they assured us they would have been able to design something with icing or fondue that I'm sure would have been beautiful. We took some leftover cupcakes and our top cake on our honeymoon and kept having them for dessert, they were so good! If we had not moved out of state, I would be going there again and again for cakes and cupcakes. I highly recommend JCakes!

When we finally felt we could hold our wedding I reached out the JCakes to go to their shop and taste the combination we picked to sure we were still in love with our original combination. On the day of our wedding, the cake brought tears to my eyes - it was just extraordinary - the design work was better than I could have ever imagined and I was so excited for our guests to see it.
