JCakes executed and delivered our cake for our wedding in Branford, CT this past Friday (11/8). Amazing customer service & our cake was exactly what we wanted! We went with Strawberry Shortcake and it was delicious! Thank you JCakes for helping make our wedding day extra sweet

Our Wedding Cake was absolutely amazing! I am still hearing about how wonderful it tasted and looked! JCakes did an absolutely amazing job and we can’t thank them enough!

Working with the staff at J.Cakes was the best & most tasty part of wedding planning! The team really listened to what I wanted and executed the design perfectly, as well as worked seamlessly with my venue & florist on the day of. JCakes does not fall into the category of style over substance, like some wedding cake vendors. Instead, the impeccable design is married perfectly with a moist yet light sponge, fillings that hit the perfect balance of being sweet enough without being too sweet, & frosting that is perfectly smooth. I cannot say enough great things!

All of our guests raved about how delicious our wedding cake from JCakes was! They were a pleasure to work with. The cake also looked beautiful. We went with simple white with gold and floral accents. They nailed it!

Everyone loved our cupcakes! JCakes was so easy to work with and was so accommodating with adding some GF/DF cupcakes to our original order to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions. We were so happy with how our cakes and cupcakes tasted and were presented! I will forever go to or refer JCakes for any of my cupcake or cake needs!

JCakes did a fantastic job on our wedding cake. During the tasting they had a variety of options and we really got to pick exactly what we wanted. The outside was beautifully decorated, and the inside was delicious. We would absolutely recommend them to others!

JCakes is incredible! People were talking about how great our cake was for days after the wedding. My mother still says it, "I cannot believe how great that cake was, normally no one likes the wedding cake!". Book this bakery for your wedding! They will not disappoint! Our wedding cake was amazing! We were blown away with the service we received. They delivered the cake to us and even brought us an extra cake in case we needed more slices. Everyone is still talking about the cannoli filling and some of our guests are even going to order their wedding cake from JCakes after tasting ours! We couldn't be happier with the wedding cake and we are looking forward to eating another slice on our 1 year anniversary.

As soon as we tasted the cake, we knew we had to ask them to make our wedding cake. It was so delicious, not to mention all the style options and flavors they had to offer! We would absolutely work with them in the future.

We went with J Cakes due to the fact that our venue worked closely with them and recommended them as our caterer, and we were so happy that we did! They had a wide variety of flavors for the wedding cakes, and the cupcakes as well. We chose to have a small personal cake to cut, and then cupcakes for everyone else and both were delicious! We got so many compliments on the taste of the dessert and we were so happy with the results!

We loved our cake from JCakes! We had a wonderful tasting where we were helped to choose our flavors and design and they checked in with us before our wedding to make sure they had all the correct details. They worked with out florist to create an absolutely beautiful cake! Our guests went back for seconds!

Jcakes was AMAZING! They captured our wedding cake vision perfectly! They even added our dog at the bottom of the cake! Not only was the cake beautiful but it was so fresh and tasted AMAZING! They made picking out our cake super easy at the cake tasting appointment and gave such a variety of fillings and flavors! I highly recommend working with them! They exceeded our expectations!!

I cannot possibly recommend J Cakes highly enough for the wonderful job they did with our wedding cake. First, Jessie was an absolute delight to work with and was completely down with my rather odd request to make our cake topper an actual tree (our last name is Root… so, um… yeah) using the base that I had started. The experience she provides her couples is absolutely top notch… from an expansive included tasting and accommodating special flavor combinations during tasting on request to her included 1-year anniversary cake (which she’ll make for you right away or even a year later). We were blown away by her generous portions and affordability. Next, her cakes… OMG. The cake itself is fantastic - moist and flavorful with one of the best buttercream frostings I’ve ever had. On top of that the fillings are also delicious. I was a little skeptical that a fluffy cream filling would carry enough fruit flavor compared to a jam or compote, but Jessie made a believer out of me. We had chocolate cake for all our tiers and had both raspberry and cookies and cream filling. Finally, the decoration was perfect. We were using a William Morris tapestry as inspiration for the whole event and Jessie easily incorporated that as a wrap around one tier, deftly piped on roots for our tree topper, and included logos for the Celtics & Bucks (a nod to our first dates and my husband’s favorite sport). We had so many compliments about our cake - both for taste AND looks. Also, FYI. They do cupcakes with cool special flavors rotating every week and will also do cupcake orders for special events too. We’ve since moved out of Massachusetts, but you can bet that J Cakes will be a go-to stop for me when I’m coming back.

We can't say enough good things about Hope at JCakes! She did an incredible job on our cake, including by making adorable (and accurate) figurines of our cats to look like they were eating a patch on the back of the cake. And not only was the cake beautiful, it was also delicious! Hope also made the ordering, tasting, and delivery process very easy -- you should absolutely hire her for your wedding or other special event!

We used JCakes for our wedding cake and cupcake tower and we were blown away! Our guests commented on how they were the best cupcakes they’ve ever had. The cupcakes were all moist and had excellent flavor. I highly recommend using JCakes!

Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. The staff who helped us at our tasting had excellent recommendations and genuinely listened to what we were envisioning. The cake came out exactly the way we had hoped. We ate some after freezing, and it was still excellent. We cannot thank you enough, JCakes!

JCakes did a beautiful job with my cake for my wedding on 10/29/22 and it was delicious! We chose carrot cake filled with cream cheese and then chocolate cake filled with oreo mousse. Our guests are still talking about how good it tasted!

Our wedding cake from JCakes was phenomenal! Our guests raved about it and some even asked for seconds! JCakes even made a few gluten-free cupcakes for those guests that couldn't enjoy the wedding cake and made sure they were hand-delivered to each guest personally. Exceptional cake and great service!

What an amazing experience it was working with J cakes! I came in with a reference image for my wedding cake and they executed the design beyond my wildest dreams without any question or hesitation! The cake was absolutely amazing and was a talking point of the wedding!! It was very easy to coordinate with Hope about every detail of the wedding! Not only did it look great, but it tasted fantastic and was not dry or lacking in flavor. Cakes are always a stressful topic for weddings because you have no control over how the final product looks or tastes - but I am glad we chose J cakes to help remove all my worries as a bride!! Highly recommend and will be returning for future events.

This bakery was one that came included in our venue package. Although the actual wedding cake was delicious and we enjoyed it for many days after the wedding, it wasn't prefect. I had asked for piped wildflowers around the cake, and it honestly looked very amateurish. Additionally, it was my sister's birthday on my wedding and I had asked for an extra vanilla cupcake covered in sprinkles (her favorite). What my sister ended up getting was a chocolate / coffee cupcake which would probably be fine for anyone else, but my sister HATES those flavors!! I was very upset about that... Loved the cake itself, but the execution was not there.

This is probably the aspect of our wedding that we got the most compliments on. We got a golden cake with raspberry buttercream. It was a 3 tier cake that was pure heaven. The cake was incredibly moist with the lightest of buttercream. Everyone that ate it, loved it. Like seriously it was so good. Working with the team at J Cakes was super easy. They even did our cake tasting outside of their regular business hours since we had wonky schedules on our end. The cake itself was decorated exactly as we had discussed and genuinely no critiques at all. My husband and I are still happily eating leftover cake that somehow tastes just as good a week later as what it did on our wedding night!

I dream about my wedding cake, it was so delicious! My husband and I had a lovely time tasting cakes with Tracey and choosing flavors. We chose to go with a cupcake tower with 4 different flavors of cupcakes, and a cake-cutting cake on top for our April 2021 wedding. The cupcakes and cake were so beautiful, and the perfect size and ratios of filling to cake to icing. We bought a cute cake topper, but if we had trouble finding one they assured us they would have been able to design something with icing or fondue that I'm sure would have been beautiful. We took some leftover cupcakes and our top cake on our honeymoon and kept having them for dessert, they were so good! If we had not moved out of state, I would be going there again and again for cakes and cupcakes. I highly recommend JCakes!

There are not enough words to express how incredible our wedding cake was. We met JCakes several months before our wedding and were able to taste some combinations of cakes. The flavor combo we picked was perfect for us. We talked design and made sure we stayed in touch. Then the pandemic happened and we were forced to postpone. When we finally felt we could hold our wedding I reached out the JCakes to go to their shop and taste the combination we picked to sure we were still in love with our original combination. It was as perfect as the first time we tasted it and we firmed up details on the design. On the day of our wedding, the cake brought tears to my eyes - it was just extraordinary - the design work was better than I could have ever imagined and I was so excited for our guests to see it. The cake was very well received by our guests - some were even asking for seconds! If you need a beautifully crafted and tasty wedding cake - this is your place! INCREDIBLE. We were thrilled by everything from the flavor to the design - jcakes made my sweet tooth sing🖤 and that’s saying a lot! They were super accommodating since we wanted different flavors on each tier and made even the tasting experience so wonderful and special.

JCakes makes such beautiful cakes! We were so impressed when we walked into our reception to see this beautiful cake perfectly decorated with lace/flowers/shells to go with out waterfront location. The cake was delicious too. They were also so kind to help us figure out how to store the top tier for the 1 year anniversary.

This was the best cake I have ever had, and I have had a lot of cakes!!! We chose two flavors for our wedding – espresso walnut torte and a vanilla cake with chocolate truffle filling. Wish I could use expletives to emphasize how delicious this cake was!!! Highly recommend.

Finding the perfect baker for your wedding day can be overwhelming and nerve wracking. J Cakes blew my expectations of a wedding cake out of the water! These were some of the best cupcakes I have ever tried, let alone at a wedding! My guests kept asking “who made these cupcakes?” and “This is your wedding cake? It tastes amazing!” My (now) husband and I really enjoyed the cake tasting process. We felt like we got to design our own flavors with so many combinations to give our big day even more personalized touches. J Cakes is now my go-to bakery for future special occasions and the every so often “you deserve a cupcake” moments.

Our cake was absolutely perfect! They were able to make a fondant version of our dog 'eating' the cake and to top everything off it was delicious! Possibly TOO delicious - we were disappointed we didn't have more left over for ourselves because everyone loved it! Highly recommend!

Loved the cake they did for my 8/12/21 wedding! They were able to recreate the exact design we sent them. At our tasting, we got to try so many different flavors and combinations. My husband and I were obsessed with our wedding cupcakes and cake. They came out exactly how we had wanted - they even customized them a bit to put some of our favorite treats/toppings on the cupcakes. We had a last minute add-on to do a birthday cake (with a UCONN photo) for my grandfathers birthday on our wedding day. They added that on with no hesitation and my grandfather still talks about the cake! The flowers on the cake were beautiful and perfectly matched the theme that our florist had put together. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to order more from them in the future!

We did the cupcake tower for our wedding and all I have to say is BEST DECISION EVER! Jcakes put together a 4 option spread of the most delicious cupcakes. People are still raving about it 2 weeks after wedding. The red velvet was TOO DIE FOR. seriously, those were wiped out quick! Thank you so much jcakes!
