We decided to go with the Rowsley Estate because the venue has the traditional and classy charm which fit perfectly our taste, easy access from NYC and Jean-Jacques' reviews were excellent on every bridal sites. From day one working towards our wedding day, Mary and Donna handled everything with utmost professionalism advising us the do and don't from their rich experience and always accommodating our particular needs. Because we ended up with the maximum number of guest capacity and wanted still a good dancing space, Mary allowed us to design the floor plan and worked with our florist consummately to achieve our vision for the day. Everything went perfect and smoothly on our wedding day. Only to mention a few: during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, Donna graciously guided us and the bridal party exactly what to do (I totally recommend the rehearsal), the food and beverages were excellent, the staff was so hospitable that our guests told us there has never been an empty moment in their wine glasses! We've got so much compliments from our guests since our big day and still more are coming! Thank you so much Mary, Donna and the entire Jean-Jacques' staff. You made our dream wedding come true!!!

big day. We were a little worried about the food, because they don’t do tastings in advance anymore... however, the food was incredible and the cake was out of this world! People stopped me during the wedding to feed me things because they couldn’t believer how good it was (and I was running around so they made me stop to try!). Our only regret is being that busy that we couldn’t have eaten more.. and we come from Italian families, so to say that everyone was happy about the food is certainly saying a lot! We were really happy with everything overall.

She also suggested that we attend a cake tasting at an affiliated bakery to select the ideal cake. We were able to visit the venue a few times, even on the day before the party, so that we could get a preview of the ballroom all set up (for another event). On the day of the event, Mary greeted us warmly and made sure everything was in place, and Donna S., our maitre'd and her team were just magical -- asking what we needed done and not letting us lift a finger-- so that we could entertain and speak to our guests. (They also packed some leftovers for us to enjoy the next day, and helped put decorations, etc. in the car.) They were a splendid team!!! Jeannette and the catering team at Jean-Jacques prepared the appetizers and the buffet dinner to perfection. All of our guests enjoyed it, as did we! We could not have asked for a more gracious and devoted team than everyone at Jean-Jacques who worked with us before and during the party! They truly ensured that we would have many cherished memories of the event. Thank you again!!!!

Mary was very easy to work with during the planning stages and the team really takes care of so many of the little details that the wedding planning was relatively easy. It was almost a one stop shopping experience… Amazon in Scarsdale; from the Onsite Ceremony (if needed) to the Beautiful reception including all linens, tables, chairs etc., set-up, clean-up, great cocktail hour, excellent dinner, delicious wedding cake at a very good value. Just add officiant, flowers, music and photographer …. Donna was the Maître D and she couldn’t have been nicer and more professional. Everything ran like clockwork. The staff were very pleasant and capable. The Rowsley Estate is like having a party in your home but without all the hassle and work. The guests have access to various rooms both upstairs and downstairs which makes it interesting and unique. The bar is positioned outdoors next to the long covered front patio and the guests loved hanging out there between dances. The Bride and Groom and wedding party arrived early for pictures and appreciated their individual areas to relax in before the ceremony. The photographer loved the aesthetic of the venue and the early pictures appear to confirm her opinion. I highly recommend Jean-Jacques at The Rowsley Estate with Mary and Donna at the helm for a beautiful wedding experience.

couldn’t be nicer and very accommodating in letting us bring our own wine selection and helping us through the planning process. She was always accessible via phone to answer any questions. The food was delicious and the venue was very pretty. We all danced the night away to the music of Jimmy Dee and the centerpieces by Chris at Artistic Manner Florist made the ballroom look spectacular. Kudos to the entire staff at Jean Jacques for a truly beautiful and memorable wedding day for our daughter and her husband.

The day of the wedding everything was set up exactly how I asked and Mary paid attention to every detail to make sure everything was perfect. The reason I only gave 3 stars was because Donna, the Maitre D, was rude, inconsiderate and snide. From the moment she met with us for our rehearsal to the second before I left for the night the day of the wedding, she was honestly just awful. I actually overheard her talking about me at the end of the night and when I confronted her, she laughed in my face. I was upset that my husband was stuck loading all of our stuff in his truck. He shouldn't have had to do this on his wedding night, and because of this we actually missed our own shuttle and had to take an Uber to our hotel. I told the shuttle to leave without us so our guests didn't have to wait. This was all shocking because Donna had raving reviews on multiple websites. The morning after the wedding my friends and family had multiple stories about Donna and how they were treated by her. I am honestly disgusted. Overall we had a wonderful experience working with Mary and her team. We only worked with Donna the night before the wedding and the day of the wedding, but it is an unpleasant feeling to be treated the way we were treated on our own wedding day.

such a kind and calm demeanor about her that she was such a pleasure to work with. Her years of experience were very appreciated. Always returned phone calls and kept the lines of communication open. On the day of the wedding, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. When a minor issue came up (that was no fault of their own) it was quickly remedied without a hitch. Donna, the Matre D’ was particularly attentive to the bride and groom making sure they were comfortable and had everything they needed. Everything went according to plan and there were no unexpected surprises. The food was fantastic and we received a lot of compliments from our guests about the quality of the food and menu choices. All of the staff that were there the day of the wedding were professional, gracious, well mannered, dressed appropriately, and provided excellent service to all of our guests. We highly recommend Jean-Jacques.

To start, the professionalism and experience brought to the table by Jens made us instantly feel at ease and the food and drink service was phenomenal to boot. Extensive menu offerings that had everyone talking about it the following day! Jean Jacques’ also coordinated all rentals needed for the wedding making the whole process a breeze, including the final week before the wedding when a lot is going on. Jens was attentive during the planning process and on-site, Jens, Donna, and staff were incredibly responsive and executed our wedding reception with outstanding food and top notch service making the evening a true delight for everyone. Passed desserts on the dancefloor wrapped up what was a truly incredible day. Thank you Jens and all at Jean Jacques’ for making our wedding exactly how we had hoped and wanted. Highly recommend!

That allowed us to relax and just enjoy the moment. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on the delicious food and beautiful location. One downside was that the venue was booked the night before, so the rehearsal had to happen at noon. Also, the seating chart we were originally shown was not accurate, and we had to squish another table along the wall so it was pretty tight. However, none of that really mattered as everyone had a lovely time. I would highly recommend working with Jean-Jaques for any event!

I also ordered my wedding cake from here. WOW! Is all I have to say. We had cappuccino and chocolate flavored. All of my guests were blown away including me! I gave a few pictures of what I wanted the cake to look like and it was exactly as pictured and discussed at our tasting. I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

On the day of, my mother and I arrived early to decorate the room, and we were so fortunate to have Jeanie helping us to make the room look absolutely incredible. Not only did she help us to create the perfect look for the shower, but the cake table that she put together was incredible. My guests raved about the service, and no one could get over how delicious the food was. People are still talking, 2 months later, about the French toast and the strawberry cake. I come from a big Italian family, and I am the first to diverge from the traditional Italian restaurant-style shower; needless to say, brunch was a hit, and everyone still talks about how delicious and fun the shower was.

cal landmark that houses a 480 year old oak tree in front of the estate. It was absolutely beautiful and the price won't compare to anything else you'll find in the city or Westchester. Trust me, I work in the industry and I looked everywhere! We loved our venue because we didn't know anyone else that had gotten married there and it was such a beautiful space. So first things first. The food! I have to say we booked the venue without tasting the food and our first tasting was not what we expected. We were quite disappointed and I was beyond stressed since all the reviews talked about how amazing the food was. It was a group tasting, so there were other people there and they served some food that we wouldn't have picked off the menu (You get so many options). Everyone else seemed to like the food, but my husband and I are foodies so it didn't really meet our expectations. We expressed our concerns to Mary, who was the venue and catering coordinator, and she was very sweet and scheduled a private tasting for us. Let me tell you...It was a whole different experience. The food was really good and we were very very happy. In the end, all our guests raved about how great the food was. What's even better is that the guests ordered their food at the table which we loved. You don't have to worry about calculating orders from your guests in advance. You should know that you have to pay extra for any liquor that is not on their list. We were adamant about having Jameson and Patron at the wedding, so we ended up having to pay extra for that. Their wine selection was not stellar, so we ended up bringing some of our own wine as well. The experience! We had both the ceremony and reception at the venue. The ceremony took place in front of the estate and the beautiful oak tree. Mary was always there when we needed her. We never had to worry about getting in touch with her. Donna was our Maitre D and she always made sure that my husband and I ate and always had something to drink. The staff was great and very sweet. Everyone loved our wedding and the venue. The one thing you have to remember is that you only get a 5 hour reception. So when you're told that you can have your reception until 11pm, it means that you can have the venue at a 5 hour period at the latest 11pm. We didn't realize that until later. Our reception was from 5-10 and we had arranged for a pizza truck to come at the end of the night for a snack from 10-11pm. We had to pay extra to keep some staff there for an extra hour. Overall, we would HIGHLY recommend the Rowsley Estate and Jean Jacques to anyone getting married, especially if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for your wedding. The venue is unique and the service and food were on par!

The venue is a convenient 30-45mins train or car ride from NYC and when guests arrive, the intimacy of the mansion is un-mistakable. Our approx. 110 guests were greeted by Mary and her staff's exquisite and warm set-up from the entry-way, to the hallways, to the reception hall and the bridal and groom’s suites. We provided some decorations but Mary took it to the next level with elegant placements. We took advantage of the wonderful food options (our tasting was very helpful, and filling, in giving us an idea of the chef’s hand in seasonings) and our guests greatly enjoyed all of the selections. The Viennese table was a big hit. Again, we cannot emphasize enough how helpful Mary was throughout the whole process. She is among the top reasons our wedding worked out so well. Her calmness, experience with the venue, and knowledge of the area and vendors were indispensable. Whenever we asked questions, especially about what may work best for any detail (food selection, color selection, vendor selection, you name it), she was very responsive and on top of the event the entire way. Her staff also did a phenomenal job. We are so happy and thankful for Mary at Jean Jacques and the Scarsdale Woman’s Club for making our wedding day unforgettable and worry-free. Highly recommended!

about hiring a caterer with experience working in that specific outdoor venue. Jean Jacques catering was recommended by our venue coordinator. From our first meeting, Jens was attentive, accommodating, and knowledgable. He was quick to reply to any questions we had regarding the catering process. Our whole family was included in our tasting at Jean Jacques, in their private tasting room, and we were given a wide selection of options to choose from for our big day. They were even kind enough to hold two cake tastings for us, so that both sides of our family were able to try their delicious pastries and cakes before we made our final decision. We were able to have a personal consultation with their pastry chef as well. Throughout the entire planning process, Jens kept in contact with us and our event rental company. The day of our wedding, the food itself was outstanding. We have received many compliments on the menu- specifically our special entree choice of braised short ribs, as well as the penne a la vodka and famous quiches at cocktail hour. At the cocktail hour and reception, Donna was conscientious and made sure that our bridal party had food during our portrait sessions. She was very efficient, and made sure that our reception continued according the schedule. The bar and catering staff of Jean Jacques were friendly, and our guests had a wonderful evening. t special people around. For the months leading up to the wedding Mary was our primary contact. She is so organized, gentle, kind, calm, nurturing, and responsive. Mary was our maître d’ and was just so professional and so amazing. The servers were all great. They all did everything under the sun to make sure our families were happy, and most of all, that we were happy. They were just a joy to work with. The Rowsley Estate is so cool…it’s just incredibly chic and totally unique. You really just have to see it. The feeling you get when there is that you are in your own house….if your house was super fancy and you were really elegant and wealthy. The food was fabulous. My husband and I couldn't have asked for things to go any smoother. There was a wonderful tasting and the rehearsal was well-coordinated. Also, the bakery that we worked with for the cake was very flexible and able to design the exact cake I wanted. And it was delicious! The Rowsley Estate is a beautiful place to get married! We can also vouch for the food, because Donna made sure we got to eat during our wedding! :) Donna was so much more than a maitre'd. Sure, she coordinated the staff and made sure the timing of the event went as planned. But she went above and beyond, lining us up as we walked down the aisle and bringing us food throughout the night. We feel so lucky to have had her. Having Jean-Jacques, Jens, Donna, and their whole team at our wedding meant we could relax and enjoy our wedding day. We can't recommend them all enough - they do a wonderful job!!

e great--and it was a delicious assortment of brunch items. Donna and Donna, the servers, made the buffet set up move smoothly, kept the drinks full--and helped with the Baby Food Taste Test! The setup the Jeannette planned allowed the kids to continue with decorating onesies, bibs and block for the baby while the grown-ups moved on to presents. Overall a wonderful experience.
