Jeanne is a great choice if you're looking for candid, real photos of your day. This is where she shines, she captures emotions of everyone very well. She announced this stronger focus on less-posed photos between our engagement shoot and our wedding, and I surprisingly liked how we looked in our posed engagement photos a little more than our candid wedding photos. In hindsight I should have asked to be posed a little more strongly for the wedding, knowing I tend to do weird stuff with my face and neck when people are paying too much attention to me :)) My husband and I are not big "people persons", so I do wish we had more photos of our decor, flowers, accessories, etc. to make prints of. Jeanne has a great personality when you're hanging out with her, sneaks into the background when she needs to, and captures all the emotions of your day.

This past summer Jeanne did both my engagement and wedding photos, traveling to Marquette for the wedding. We went to multiple spots and Jeanne encouraged us to be ourselves (we drank beer and played with our pooch!) but was prepared for the general awkwardness of it and had fun possess and even jokes to keep us smiling. We received our engagement photos quite quickly after and it only made us more excited to have Jeanne at our wedding! As I mentioned, Jeanne traveled over 300 miles for our big day and was with us every moment, her commitment to capturing our once in a lifetime moments is everything you want from a photographer and more. Before the big day she had us make lists of the desired photos we wanted captured and made contact with our bridal party and immediate families at the rehearsal. This made our family and friends so much more comfortable in working with Jeanne as they recognized her and were unafraid to ask for pictures or help her out as she climbed on hay bails and picnic tables to get the best angle she could at our already mountain top wedding. Her prior prep. work made the photo portion of our wedding move so fast and flawlessly no one cried about it! Many of my friends got married this summer and all of them are still telling me how lucky I am to have had Jeanne and the moments she captured. I was so impressed with the photos she caught of us, she is highly talented at a range of styles, but I just loved the amount of natural looking photographs. She captures us as we are, and doesn't try to make us something we aren't. My only fear now is wanting too many photos printed to hang on our walls because I love them all.
