Jeannie Guzis

Finding the right photographer was critical for our wedding. The pictures are your most tangible memory of your wedding day. Phenomenal photography was one of my wife's highest priorities, but we had a problem: I hate having my picture taken. I feel awkward, I don't feel like my smile looks genuine, and it all seems like a stiff, formal affair that's unnatural and forced. I felt absolutely none of that with Jeannie Guzis. My wife and I simply gush about how wonderful the experience and the photos turned out. Jeannie really took the time to get to know us, and to let us get to know her, so when the time came, everyone was comfortable. She put together an amazing package that included both engagement and wedding pictures with herself and another photographer. Her directions were clear and simple, and she really let us be ourselves. We chose the venues, but Jeannie chose the specific locations based on what she knew would make an amazing photo. She understood my anxiety and hurried through the formal pictures without rushing herself or my wife and me. She was also able to calmly and professionally wrangle all the extended family members, and got far less annoyed than my wife and I when she repeatedly had to ask a certain father-in-law to take his transition glasses off. She made wonderful use of the spaces, of nature, of light, of framing, of focus, everything you want in well-composed pictures. When she sent us a link to the photos, we were absolutely blown away. She took us right back to the emotion and joy of the day, while highlighting little details and moments that had blown by. What we loved most about working with Jeannie was how professional she is. She wanted to get to know us, so she could take the best pictures possible and make sure we felt comfortable to relax and enjoy the day. She was the biggest help in planning out the schedule for the day, and her spreadsheet allowed us to plan the entire day. She knew, down to the minute, how long she would need for the different photos, and was able to make recommendations based off of years of experience that ended up making the day run so much more smoothly. Yet when things got off schedule, because wedding, she was able to quickly adapt and change course because she knew ahead of time what our priorities were. A wonderful experience and fantastic results, and that's from a guy who secretly expected neither. Jeannie is amazing.
