ged, I read the blogs, and I knew that if you want to capture a wedding, it's all about the photos. I went on a quest for the best photographer that I could afford. I skyped, met in person, emailed, and called 27 photographers. They were located in 10 separate states, and prices ranged from $1,200 packages to $20,000 packages. I created a spreadsheet which listed photographers, their style, their package details, and the different prices. I whittled it down to 4 photographers and had my fiance meet with four. I figured, I've done tons of research, and any of the 4 will be good. My finace picked Jeannie and in hindsight I am so glad he did. Jeannie captures the best of people. It's as simple as that. I had been leaning towards a photographer who does magazine style pictures, and whose every picture looks like a fairytale. But Jeannie captures candid moments of the people you love enjoying your special day. Not only did all of our pictures turn out great, but she goes above and beyond to make sure your happy. I used to laugh and say that my vendors were more into my wedding than me, and Jeannie is a perfect example. My fiance proposed at a library, and we got married at a library turned into wedding venue. For our engagement photos, Jeannie had us do two sessions. One at the Last Book Store in downtown (to keep up with our book theme) and then by Elysian park to do a book picnic. I had made flowers out of old books, and Jeannie, who didn't want to take apart an old book, printed out lines from our favorite books and turned them into roses. She also learned how to fold books and made us a heart. Flash forward to our actual wedding day. She somehow folded a book which has my new last name in it! It was so cool and it made for some great photos. Jeannie is such a bubbly, smart, high spirited woman and I'm so glad that she was available for our wedding. It was the happiest day of my life, and she captured it perfectly. As a present for Jeannie we found a mug which spoke the truth, she is "The World's Best Photographer." If you are getting married, and want to look back on your wedding day and see real people, in candid moments, with you looking your absolute best, then pick Jeannie.
