My Husband and I got engaged pre-covid. We were set to get married in May of 2020. Covid changed that. Not once, not twice, but three times. Each time Jeff was MORE THAN accommodating to us to change our date. I have never met a professional in this field who has ever come close to measuring up to him. His support, guidance, honesty, attitude, and personality is unmatched. I feel truly blessed to have met him and had the privilege of utilizing his services.

Jeff did an amazing job as our videographer on our special day. We asked if we could have a wedding picture edited to look like we were in a battle scene in Star Wars. Jeff took the time to pose our wedding party for a specific photo and brought props. The pictures turned out aamazing.

Jeff is absolutely AMAZING!! Everyone should hire him for their wedding day!!! He captures every moment at your wedding, including the special little moments you may not even see during your crazy busy day! He was such a pleasure to work with and his work is PHENOMENAL!! Jeff is hands-down an awesome person to work with. He captured our day beautifully. He was patient with us, and gave us direction so we didn't worry about looking silly, or feeling awkward. Please listen to me. The BEST decision you can make is to hire a professional videographer for your child's wedding day. I can admit we almost didn't because it seemed just another expense. At the last moment I reached out to Jeff and luckily he was still available. Shortly after my step-daughter's wedding my father-in-law suffered a stroke. He has lost mobility and his speech is barely there, and the very last time we will ever hear his voice is on the beautiful video that Jeff created for us. He gave a speech during dinner and it means everything to us now to see and hear him and nothing in this world could replace it. Money comes and goes but your family is irreplaceable. Jeff knows this and took care to mic up the important people during the day and record sound, something that I have heard some videographers do not do! This is astonishing to me. Jeff Carpenter rode through this crazy Covid wedding ride with us from the very start. Every time we spoke he eased my mind and reminded me everything would be alright and he'd be there no matter what we decided. He was up for anything we threw at him along the way. When we had to postpone the first time it was a big heart break. With some family illness and life's uncertainties we were scared to wait "too long" so about 12 days prior to our original date we threw an elopement together with some of our loved ones and Jeff was right there to capture it all! Even though we had already moved our contract to a completely different date. He has the kindest heart and some amazing talent. Then came our postponed date. We got the call that our venue couldn't go through with the wedding and we were asked to pospone again. We just couldn't. It wasn't right for our situation and we pushed forward planning a makeshift backyard celebration and once again Jeff was there down for the ride. He edited our ceremony and played it on a projector at our celebration. It was so beautiful and our day would've never been what it was without Jeff Get yourself the videographer you deserve! Jeff walked through a mile of swamp and woods to get my dream shot, literally. I wanted an “outdoors, huntress theme” and he delivered ❤️ He didn’t just demonstrate poses from a sofa in the studio... he did it from a 20’ tree stand. This man climbed barefoot into an icky creek to get the perfect reflection. I have never met a photographer more dedicated to perfection that he is. I have had Jeff do my pictures twice... and soon will do it again. I cannot (really) recommend him enough. He’s funny, easygoing, and to be honest... it’s like having your best friend take you pictures.

Jeff is the sweetest and most talented videographer out there!! Not only did he capture so many beautiful moments from our special day but he also was SO prepared/organized and handy to have around. For example: We didn’t have a crotchet needle to button up my dress-Jeff did We needed scissors for something-Jeff had them Had no idea what to do with our hands during pictures-Jeff did Needed help carrying my train at one point-Jeff literally carried my train! We originally we’re not going to do a videographer, but changed our minds about a month before our wedding. We are so happy we found Jeff via a recommendation of another highly rated videographer. Jeff and his daughter have a great personality and you will feel like he is part of the family by the end of the big day. Jeff blended in great with guests and our photographer, which we really appreciated. You can really tell that Jeff loves what he is doing and wants to make your wedding day and video perfect. We have only seen the "trailer" video, but we loved it and can already tell the full length video is going to be amazing.

Jeff was my Videographer for our wedding this past Friday. We found him at Bay City’s bridal show and knew right away that we had to get him booked for our wedding. We did the love story package which included a “love story” video of my husband and I to be played at our reception. I thought for sure that it would be awkward but Jeff made us feel very comfortable and it was a highlight of the night on our wedding day. It has only been a few days since our wedding but Jeff has already shown us some footage and beautiful photos that he got from his footage. I can’t wait to see the wedding day film that he puts together. I have no doubt that it is going to be amazing! Jeff arrived on time in the morning and stayed for fireworks on our wedding day. Weddings demand a lot of your time and the vendors are no small part of it. Perhaps my favorite part of working with Jeff is that he required very little advanced preparation and he made us a fantastic video while taking up almost none of our time. He was always just exactly where he needed to be getting everything done. The video was great, the time working with Jeff was great, and all the time he spent getting things just right while we enjoyed our special day was great.

Jeff is literally the BEST!!!!! Let me start by saying that I was unsure about spending the money to hire a videographer. Well, I can say now that was some of the best money we've ever spent. From our very first meeting with him we could tell how passionate he is about his work and how much he cares to capture your big day in the most creative and memorable way possible. On the day of, he showed up way earlier than I expected to make sure he got all of the "details" shots of shoes/dress etc. that he wanted to get (which was, of course, more than fine that he was early!) and he was very much a positive presence throughout the whole day. He worked so well with the photographer, and contacted her before the wedding day to make sure they were on the same page. I could not be happier with the result we got for our "teaser" film, and I cannot wait to see the full video. I would recommend Jeff a million times over!!

TL;DR: I highly recommend Jeff Carpenter Studios if you are looking for a kind professional who will genuinely enhance your wedding day experience! When we first got engaged, my (now) husband and I weren't sure whether or not we would get a videographer for our wedding. We just didn't know much about the pros and cons and weren't sure if it would be affordable. But the DJ we ended up booking, ActOne Entertainment (previously Active Entertainment), was one of Jeff's associates and mentioned a discount that was offered for booking them together so we took the plunge and agreed to meet Jeff (who is conveniently located right next door). At our first meeting in Jeff's comfy little office, we sat on the couch and listened as Jeff walked us patiently and honestly through the costs and the rewards of having a videographer at our wedding. He explained objectively what it might add to our experience and we NEVER felt pressured into booking anything. Jeff is not a pushy salesman-type guy, he is very genuine and kind, and even a little nerdy which my husband and I both loved about him. It is clear that he loves and takes pride in his work and gets excited telling you about all the cool features he can add to your footage- including his video-recording drone which provided us with breathtaking views of our gorgeous venues!! My husband and I ended up hiring Jeff Carpenter Studios and went with his intermediate-priced package, which covered enough man-hours for him to be filming for almost the entirety of our wedding day and pretty late into the reception, as well as an assistant (who if I'm remembering correctly is Jeff's polite and professional daughter), drone footage, a roughly 20-minute "movie" keepsake for us after the wedding, AND all of the raw footage he shot throughout the day. Jeff spends a pretty hefty chunk of time on the wedding videos (which we didn't mind because we were certainly plenty busy with other things) and it shows! We were married on August 31st and Jeff had our movie finished in time for Christmas. It was FABULOUS and he even gave us three free copies of the video on DVD or bluray, for ourselves and for each of our parents. He did release a short teaser video for us and I can't remember the exact timeline of that but I remember being shocked and impressed by how soon after the wedding he got that to us- I think it was only a couple of days later! Now that it is all said and done, we are thrilled with our decision to hire Jeff Carpenter Studios for our wedding day. He seriously adds so much to your overall experience, from his friendly and goofy personality to his respectful professionalism (he always made sure to ask if myself and all of my bridesmaids were decent before he came to our area to film us or our dresses/accessories). He's one of those guys who is just easy to get along with and will make you laugh when you're all nerves. I was also impressed by how much candid footage he managed to get; I'm one of those freaks who's usually hyper-aware of having a camera on me and I was surprised to see a couple instances in our wedding video of me having a moment of tranquility in the midst of all the crazy hustle that only your wedding day can be. My husband and I LOVE our video and will be forever grateful to Jeff and his team for helping us to solidify the memories we cherish of our incredibly special and insanely passed-in-a-flash wedding day! My husband and I were a little hesitant about a videographer, we debated if we really needed a photographer and videographer - after meeting with Jeff we were confident both was necessary. And it’s so true! Pictures are beautiful but the video is something to cherish forever and brings us back to the day.
