Our venue actually recommended them and we were very happy! The DJ was very personable and played all of the songs that we requested. No issues at all and the pricing was very fair.

I wish I could give Tim at least 10 stars or more! Tim did an excellent job of making the reception very personal and keeping the dance floor full of happy guests. A few of the things that we really appreciated Tim doing were: he learned how to pronounce all wedding party names correctly, he emphasized the importance of the anniversary dance, he kept our timeline on track, he informed the guests of what was happening at all times, he personalized special moments such the 5K run trophy presentation and first dance. From the professionalism, punctuality, communication, Tim's attire, we were very pleased. Tim did an outstanding job on the lighting for the dance floor and entire reception area. I highly recommend Tim from The Jeff Staples Group!

Jeff was by far the most personable vendor we had at our wedding. He proposed, a last minute change, by having our 12 year old son announce our first dance. He also had family on the the dance floor including our five year old doing break dances. Memories I'll cherish forever!

I cannot say enough great things about this company. Jeff was my primary point of contact through the planning process & was extremely responsive. Our actual DJ on our wedding day was Tim Martin, who was FANTASTIC. Our wedding was super small (ran away for a destination/covid wedding) and I knew our reception wouldn’t be like the typical parties. Tim did an amazing job reading the room and played every song that he knew I liked. I would 100% recommend Tim and Jeff!!!

Sadly we didn't get to personally work with Jeff, due to the coronavirus cancelling our may 4th wedding. but, Jeff reached out and refunded us and that really spoke volumes!!! We are all going through a very trying time and he went above and beyond to make it a little better for us. Thank you Jeff!!

Jeff was the DJ for my wedding at the Grand Plaza Hotel in St. Pete Beach and he was amazing!! We didn't have a set song list (just the standards; first dance, parent dances, etc.) but he knew exactly what to play to keep my guests on the dance floor all night! Highly recommend him!!

DJ Jeff Staples and his group did a great job for our wedding. Our wedding was a destination and DJ Jeff kept an open line of communication, and was very prompt in responding especially when we had extreme last minute day of changes of line up. His assistant DJ kept on our time line and was very open to all the request coming his way from us and our guest. I would definitely recommend The DJ Jeff Staples group.

We were more than pleased at how excellent Jeff is. He knows his music genres, timing, how to MC, and his professionalism was excellent. He talked to us several times before the wedding to go over many details and little things, because both our families are very different. He went above and beyond to make sure our diverse group all had a wonderful time. We can’t recommend Jeff highly enough!

Jeff absolutely made our wedding reception! He did an amazing job of keeping our guests involved knowing what was going on, and keeping the party going. Jeff and his team are absolutely fantastic! My husband and I got married at the Grand Plaza on St. Pete beach. There was rain right before the ceremony and we had to make a last minute ceremony location swap. Jeff’s team handled the move flawlessly and the rest of the evening was a blast. The dance floor was never empty!!! I highly recommend Jeff and his team!

If I could give Tim from the Jeff Staples group a higher rating, I would! From the day I emailed them till the wedding day, Tim was helpful and friendly! My husband LOVES to dance and he never left the dance floor the entire night (100% fine with me, he enjoyed himself). All of the guests told me how amazing the playlist was and they didn’t want to leave! Tim was always upbeat in our meetings and any time I emailed him, his response was less than 24 hours away. My husband and I are beyond pleased with him. Tim was my husbands favorite vendor of the night. Thank you to Tim for everything; our night was so magical!

We heard about Jeff Staples from our venue. My biggest fear for this whole wedding was that the DJ wasn’t going to be good or we wouldn’t have our guests dancing. I was also skeptical because he seemed so much more affordable than other DJs we were checking into. Let me tell you, as soon as I met Jeff my fears were eased! He was so great at making sure we had the songs we wanted, while also playing the crowd for the next song. Everyone was on the dance floor all night! He set up the lighting perfectly too!

Jeff was great. We only requested a few songs and gave him full control over the rest. He did a great job not only with the music selection but also keeping the reception running smoothly. Jeff made sure everything was perfect. The included uplighting really made the room look incredible. I would definitely recommend Jeff.

Tim Martin from Jeff Staples Grouo was our DJ and both Tim and Jeff were wonderful to work with. Tim had everyone on the dance fooor the entire night. He did play some songs that were not on our song list but they were all fun songs that had everyone dancing.

What can I say about Jeff Staples? My wedding was about a month ago at the Grand Plaza Beach Resort, and Mr. Staples is on their vendor list. My wedding coordinator told me he is absolutely the best and books up fast- so i called him immediately!! He books up fast for good reason: he IS the best!! The age range at my wedding was anywhere from 25-70, and he played music for all ages!! My dance floor was packed- there were guests that don't usually dance at weddings, but sure danced at our wedding! He meets with you and your groom in person and goes over everything with you, from songs to be played (or not to play!) to uplighting. Also, we needed to pick songs for the ceremony...which my husband and I were totally lost on- and he helped us pick out the ceremony music. His prices are very reasonable and he responds to emails/phone calls in a timely manner. Cant say enough about Jeff Staples except: If you are reading this, look no further and book him!!

Jeff was fantastic! I am not a music person and didn't know what to tell Jeff to play so I left it up to him and he did a great job. It was a mix of slow and fast to keep people on the dance floor and let couples have special moments. Thank you, Jeff, for answering my questions beforehand - even questions I didn't know I had!

Amazing DJ he does not have and reels of the wedding music he plays so I only hired him based on other reviews and the testimony of my venue coordinator. This was not a mistake he got the party going and his up lighting is perfect!

He did absolutely amazing! The dance floor was active all night and he played a variety of songs for every age group. I had to majorly change plans about a week before the wedding, and he worked with me, the photographer, and the reception venue to make sure everything went smoothly. I couldn't be any happier with him!

We were blown away by the services Jeff provided. Having a destination wedding is tough because you dont get to meet with the vendors prior to the big day, but i didnt feel that way with Jeff at all. From the moment we started emailing, to our phone conversation days before the big day, I felt like we had a great connection. He was very attentive and on point. I didnt have to worry about him getting the ceremony music set up or the reception. I had several guests compliment his music playlist. He even had people who dont usually dance at weddings up and getting down!!! Would recommend his services to anyone getting married in the area and even to those who are out of town if he would do out of town weddings!!!

We needed uplighting last minute and Jeff Staples Group was there to save the day! They were easy to work with and everything looked perfect!

For our 04/15/16 St. Pete Beach Wedding we had Tim from the Jeff Staples Group as our DJ. He did a great job. He was attentive and on top of everything. He played all of the songs I gave him on my request list, and he did a wonderful job with all the announcements I requested. Thank you Tim!

Jeff was so fun to work with and did a wonderful job. All of the music got people dancing, and he kept the entire wedding running smoothly for us. It was perfect.

Jeff did an AWESOME job as DJ for our wedding! He was willing to meet with us multiple times and answer all of our questions, which really put us at ease. Jeff was early to the occasion and set up music and microphones in 3 locations at our venue. He also provided some "uplighting" around the sides of the ballroom which matched our wedding colors perfectly. We had a couple of extra twists in our reception schedule that Jeff handled as if he had planned them himself. He was able to find all of our music selections for our ceremony and reception, and his "feel" for the room ensured that people were always on the dance floor and enjoying themselves. We wanted a great party for our reception and Jeff certainly delivered. Jeff has been in this business for 20 years and assured us each step of the way that he had the music handled and for us not to be concerned. With so many T's to cross and i's to dot in planning a wedding, I assure you that it will be a huge relief knowing the DJ services will be taken care of!! I would HIGHLY recommend the Jeff Staples Group for your big day!!

Overall, this was my least favorite of my wedding vendors. Here are the pro's and cons Pros: He showed up early He let my singer know so that she could sound check He has all his own equipment for both outdoors and indoors He is good at directing activities like cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss. He has a good DJ voice. Cons: I sent him a playlist ahead of time. It had instructions at the top that said "play these songs and similar". They were all pop songs. He played a lot of beachy background elevator-type music, which I had to ask him to change to match what I had asked him to play (NONE of the songs on my long playlist were anything like the songs he was playing). I noticed he was playing terrible music because my guests had stopped dancing and a lot of them were leaving a lot sooner than I had planned the reception for. He didn't do TWO of the activities/dances that I had outlined for him on a sheet I had sent him about 2 weeks before the wedding. Overall, his services were relatively inexpensive. However, I wish I had just bit the bullet and paid more for a DJ that would have done what I asked them to do.

Jeff was very challenging to work with (for me personally) overall. He was resistant to detouring from his normal routine of DJ'ing for receptions, rather than being 100% supportive of the order I wanted things to go. The week of my wedding he actually offended me to the point where I thought I wasn't going to have a DJ. Luckily, I spoke with him on the phone in regards to the situation & he apologized. As far as the actually reception, the music was good. I know I had friends/family/other vendors that would ask me to make announcement requests because they didn't feel comfortable due to his attitude. This was really disappointing because all we wanted was for everyone to have a good time. Being the bride, the last thing I wanted to do was to be the one having to make the requests that day. Overall he did a good job... I would recommend really researching your options before paying a deposit for any vendor.

We had a small beach wedding in St. Pete Beach. Jeff was amazing to work with. He provided music for our beach ceremony, the reception, and up lighting. Despite a thunderstorm coming in, he weathered the storm with his equipment determined to let us have music for our ceremony. The uplighting in the reception hall was beautiful and well worth the extra fee. The music during the cocktail hour was light and fun, perfect for all of our guests. The highlight was definitely that once the dancing music started ALL of the guests were on the floor. Wasn't sure if that would happen with our small guest number of 57. But everyone had a great time and danced the night away thanks to Jeff!

Jeff Staples is an amazing D.J. and Master of Ceremony! My husband and I are so happy we chose him for our ceremony and reception music. He really knows the crowd well and plays the perfect music all night long. They literally had to kick us out of the ballroom we'd been dancing so long! He was absolutely wonderful to work with. I gave him a "Must-Play" list and a "Do Not Play" list the day before, and he was able to take ANY song request our guests were able to come up with during the reception as well. But even when there were no requests, he was able to pick the perfect music for every minute of the entire reception. I even gave him links to specific versions of songs that I found on YouTube and he was able to play them perfectly. And his timing was perfect for everything from announcing the wedding party to first dances to cutting the cake to the bouquet/garter tosses! He was very professional and easy to work with, and so much fun too. You will be ecstatic when you hire him as your D.J. :)

Jeff was one of the best decisions my husband and I made on vendors. He was on our preferred vendor list given to us by the Grand Plaza Hotel. He was easy to get in touch with, allowed all our conversations to be over the phone or through email since I am from out of state, and was way cheaper than all other DJs. He was professional and played all of the music we had picked. Overall, he did a phenomenal job and I would recommend him to any bride looking for a DJ to play on the beach or inside a venue.

We planned our wedding from out of town. Based on reviews and word of mouth, we hired Jeff Staples as our DJ and we were so glad with our choice! Jeff played a great mix of music that kept all of our guests -- old and young -- on the dance floor all night. Jeff was a total pro and took into account all of our requests. Jeff had a big challenge on my wedding: deal with my half brazilian family, who is just not into regular wedding music. With a little help from my sister, he did great! The dvd with brazilian songs my mom brought did not work initially, and he was calm and patient, which I really appreciate. He did not lose his sense of humor, and we all had a great time.

Jeff provided the music for both our ceremony and reception and he was wonderful! He really stuck to our playlist and kept everyone dancing all night! He was very fun, professional and easy to work with!

Jeff was amazing to work with. We didn't want to create a whole list of songs to play and we didn't have to, he read the crowd perfectly. The dance floor was packed from the end of dinner until the last minute! I picked out some unique piano versions of songs for the ceremony music so I was a little concerned about him finding them but he did! He helped the wedding flow perfectly and we couldn't have been happier. His experience shows!

He is extremely easy going and was great to work with. We used him for both a dj, a mic outside for the ceremony and full uplighting. He was completely on time ready to go and did a great job at managing the reception. His uplighting was perfect and he did a phenomenal job at making sure we had a great night. He comes highly highly recommended and would use again in a heartbeat if I needed something DJ'd for in the area.

Jeff was wonderful from the moment I e-mailed him. We don't live in Florida so we did not get to see a sample of his work but based on e-mail interactions and reviews from our wedding planner, we decided to go with him and it turned out to be a great decision. He was easy to work with; took requests; and helped keep people on the dance floor. By the end of the night we still had at least 70% of people at the reception and most were on the dance floor. We would highly recommend Jeff!!!!

We hired Jeff because he has a lot of experience, worked at our venue before, had the lighting we wanted, and matched other DJ prices. We did find someone cheaper and he kept his promise to match their price. My husband and I are in our late 20's and although we had a conversation with him about the music we liked, we did have to kick him out of the 70's. I also had to remind him that we needed to do the garter removal/toss, bouquet toss and cake. Pretty basic things for someone who's been master of ceremony so long.

I was actually referred to Jeff by another DJ group. He was easy to get a hold of, dealt with a stressed bride with no problems, and had everyone (all ages) dancing throughout the night. Thank you Jeff for helping the night to be flawless!

I absolutely LOVED our DJ! He was unfortunately the one vendor I worked with the least because I had so much going on for our destination wedding. However, he did everything perfect! He was so wonderful and need no direction. Plus, he sounds like he should be on a radio show! Great great great choice. I would suggest him to anyone!
