Jeff was patient with me and took the time to get to know my now husband and I so that he could capture what our love and personalities were all about. Up until 2 days from the wedding he worked with me to put together a list of what I wanted for the big day (I should mention I updated this list a few times). Day of, he was the MOST patient person with me as I am a fairly awkward in photos and made both Bryan and I feel super comfortable and confident when he was snapping his photos. Our bridal party loved working with him as well. He is not only a professional photographer but he makes a point to build a rapport with his clients which is something I find to be a unique quality that I did not experience with other vendors that I had reached out to. I can't forget to mentioned that Jeff also really pulled through for me and found me a photo booth guy since the one we had originally booked cancelled on me 5 weeks before the wedding. He is not only a photographer that I will surely work with again, but also a friend that I know I will be recommending to all my friends and family for future events.

irst phone call you knew, Jeff LOVES what he does. Once you're booked, he'll invite you to his annual bridal bootcamp. Don't laugh, just go! First of all, it's fun and the information you receive will change your wedding day. It's not just about the pictures, he actually wants you to enjoy your day and have it go as smoothly as possible. I made many changes after the bootcamp and I'm telling you it changed our wedding day for the better. When the bride is happy, everyone is happy. When everyone is happy, you get great pictures! ove story! Out of the eight award winning photographers that I had interviewed, Jeff was the ONLY one to ask about our story, how we met and what we enjoy doing together on a daily basis. Photography is so much more than a job for Jeff. It is his passion! He has a pure talent for seeing things differently than everyone else and for taking the most incredible pictures! Jeff is a true artist that will capture the traditional wedding photos that you ask for but he’ll also capture so many memorable moments that you didn’t even notice! His pictures will leave you speechless and wanting more! The pictures that he took on our wedding day left us awestruck!! Jeff made Bob and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He even coached us when we asked for advice on how to pose or where to look! His talent & passion for photography is truly admirable. He captures beautiful and raw emotion that brings you right back to that moment. It’s so evident that he genuinely cares about each and every couple that he works with. Jeff and his team are extremely talented, very professional and so down to earth! Jeff and his team made taking pictures so much fun and we had an absolutely blast working with them!! Flash forward a few years later to my own wedding day this past June 2018, my husband and I hired Jeff to capture our day and could not have been happier with the exquisite pictures he took. Jeff truly told our story, and the pictures beautifully captured our wedding and all the little moments of the day. He captured "us" so perfectly. He truly is an artist, and his creativity and eye stands out in virtually every shot. We are so happy we hired Jeff to capture our day. The pictures he took of us, our loved ones and the day just constantly bring a smile to my face. He did such an incredible job and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a gifted and passionate photographer.

nd of October at a farm/resort venue in the Hudson Valley. There was a Nor'easter that day so the photography was challenging. However, Jeff managed to get some great shots of the happy couple walking around with an umbrella. And the shots of the inanimate objects are outstanding. He took a photo of my daughter's shoes on a mirrored table with her ring nestled between them that almost takes your breath away. BUT.. Jeff likes to take "up shots." These are photos where he crouches or lays on the floor and takes pictures. So Jeff took lots of photos of feet, calves, legs, and in a couple of cases where the women wore short dresses, their behinds. But the most offensive of these shots is the one he took where the calves of the female singer in the band frame my daughter dancing. Think about it--to take that shot, he had to lay on the floor with his head almost underneath her dress. Did he even ask her if she cared? I don't know. Another problem with "up--shots" is that you get to see multiple chins, the upper palates of people's mouths and their nostrils. I always wanted a photo of my niece snorting instead of smiling. So glad Jeff took that! And let's not forget the ceremony. Instead of close ups of the bride and groom gazing lovingly into each other's eyes, we have photographs of a wooden floor, the shoes of the people on the aisle and off in the distance the bride and groom holding hands. The other problem I had with Jeff was that despite being specifically asked to take table pictures of my family, he did not. I know table pictures are old fashioned but I wanted them. My daughter went out if her way to tell him how important those table pictures were to me. Yet, when I asked him during the reception if he had taken the table pictures, he told me he had taken everyone "as couples." Well, that was a lie. Who did he miss? My cousin and her two sons. My nieces and their spouses. My brother and sister-in-law. The only friend I had at the wedding and her husband. But the biggest miss of all--not taking a "couples" picture of my 90 year old uncle and my loving aunt who paid a driver hundreds of dollars to drive them almost one hundred miles through torrential rain just so they could see my daughter get married. With the exception of one group shot and some "up shots" of my uncle during the ceremony because he happened to be sitting on the aisle, you would never know they were at the wedding. And it's likely this is the last family function my uncle will be able to attend. I don't think taking table pictures was too much to ask. And lying about capturing everyone "as couples" is just wrong. So if you don't care about having pictures of your family and you want great pictures of shoes, bunions, calves, thighs, double and triple chins, nostrils and inanimate objects, by all means hire Jeff.

(Definitely use the same photographer for both, so you can build a great rapport - plus you'll feel so much more comfortable on your big day!) Jeff is so easy to work with, even when you might feel awkward, not know how to stand or what exactly you should do with your hands, Trust him! His guidance and creativity always pay off. Our wedding photos are absolutely insane, mind blowing really. Each of Jeff’s photos tell a story, allowing us to relive those emotions as if we're right back in that very moment (which is spectacular because the day truly goes by so fast!) No other person could make a rainy, grey day look like the most epic celebration - We could thank Jeff a million times and it still wouldn’t be enough. Special Shout out to Joey & Danette who also went above & beyond to ensure we got our perfect wedding shots. Worth every penny and more!

d. He is a photography genius and additionally he’s incredible to work with. He’s so passionate about capturing the perfect shot and makes you feel completely at ease. He has shot over 1000 weddings, so he understands exactly what’s needed and he takes time to listen to you before the big day to understand what’s important to you and your significant other. On the day of, he’ll keep you on track but also keep you calm. He spent 8/18/18 with us, keeping us smiling the whole time even when we got super delayed and he was so committed to getting the perfect shot, that he was laying in fields and high grass for much of the day. My husband and I were reminiscing the wedding the day after and his first words about it were “Jeff Tisman is the best decision we made in this whole process.” I couldn’t agree more. The photos he captured are gorgeous and so reflective of us. e decided to work with Jeff, he became a part of the wedding. His incredible Boot Camp for Brides workshop really guided us on how to make things run smooth the day of! Even the lessons he gave on “Smizing” brought out the inner model in both of us, making us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. he was our guy! His energy was awesome and he had so many creative takes on the typical wedding shots, which we loved. From the very beginning, he answered all of our questions (there were a lot!) and was so patient with us. He was always super responsive to both emails and voicemails. The days leading up to our wedding he made sure to check in and see if there were any last minute things we needed, and to confirm all the necessary details. He was prompt showing up on our wedding day, and did an awesome job capturing everything we asked him to, and all in between! We had a blast doing all different pictures with him…he is really creative and comes up with things you would never think of, and it’s so exciting knowing our pictures will be so unique and reflective of us. Another great thing about Jeff (and his assistant Adrienne, who was equally as awesome) is they were very discrete about photographing the guests. Many people said they were completely unaware there were photographers at the reception…which to us, is great, because we know Jeff was still getting the shots without getting in the way of everyone partying! All the photos we’ve seen thus far (the blog sneak peek) are incredible, and our friends & family keep saying how it’s the best wedding photography they’ve ever seen. Let's face it: engagement shoots/wedding photos can be a little awkward (kiss now - no, kiss again! ) but Jeff will put you at ease, and make it fun. Our wedding party even commented on awesome Jeff was! The best word of advice I can give you when working with Jeff is to trust him: he knows what he is doing. Jeff will push you outside of your comfort zone, but it always results in the most amazing shots! To that same point, trust him when he tells you to do a first look before the ceremony - we listened to him and I'm so happy we did. Spending hours with my husband before walking down the aisle calmed both of our nerves (especially his!) and allowed us to take some truly magnificent photos, as we weren't rushing around and trying to squeeze in all of our shots during cocktail hour. My last piece of advice: seriously, book him. I just got back my wedding photos and I couldn't be happier. Our family is so thrilled with his work that my sister is using him for her wedding this spring as well.

Our Eshoot was so much fun - though I'm not entirely comfortable in front of the camera, he made the day incredibly easy and way more fun that I expected. The photos came out amazing - we looked like magazine models. I also attended his bridal bootcamp - a day he organizes for his brides to walk them through posing, how the wedding day will go, what to expect, etc. It was really fun to meet his other brides and I got some great tips that helped me schedule my wedding day. Photography was the most important thing to my husband and I, so the tips I learnt there really made a difference in how we planned out the day. We just had our wedding day on 9/19. Having Jeff there really pumped us up - it's like working with a rock star! He's so relaxed but knows exactly what he wants - which is great when you need to wrangle family members. So far, we've seen a few "sneak peek" photos from our wedding on facebook. They were absolutely stunning. I can't wait until we receive the rest of them! From the ubiquitous family formal shots, to the first look between my husband and I, to the famous ring photos.... Jeff is a master at his craft and truly forms a relationship with his brides and grooms. Not only did I have a sensational photographer at my wedding, I can say I also made a friend. I look forward to working with Jeff again in the future and look forward to watching his work for years to come. w". Jeff has a true gift. Our wedding day was freezing cold and snowy and Jeff was out there getting us amazing shots. He will do whatever it takes to make sure your photos are true works of art. He even layed on the cold, snowy ground to get a good angle of City Hall in the background. I will never be able to say enough good things about him.
