Jeffrey Scott Photography specializes in weddings, elopements, and engagements. He shoots a mixture of documentary & traditional photography, while finding moments to use stylistic techniques such as direct flash, shutter drag, and motion blur. Editing images, he keeps it true-to-life. However, he incorporates a moody feel by desaturating greens, bringing down the highlights, and adding warm undertones. Jeff is based out of Denver, CO, however loves to travel to whatever location!

I'm Jeff, a passionate photographer of all things from rural Wi. Photography is engrained deep into my core, since I can remember i've had a camera in my hands. Taking pictures of every flower in our front yard and every unsuspecting duck that landed on our family pond. Taking photos has always been my purest form of self expression, understanding, and way of life. For me, photography not only allows me to connect with people and preserve their most cherished moments - it gives me purpose.

I’m 28 years old and graduated with a Bachelors in Graphic Design but have been a working photographer for 6 years and videographer for 2 years. I started out working in nightlife capturing DJs and clubs which gave me the knowledge and skills I have today. When shooting in nightlife you are shooting in the most harsh and unforgiving conditions for photographers. Little to no light, high pressure, live and unpredictable. You have to not only know your camera and photo principles like the back of your hand, but you have to be able to read a room, understand people’s body language, anticipate a moment and be quick enough to capture it in a creative way.

After we booked him for our engagement shoot, we immediately saw his talent. My wife sent him her inspiration board, and he did a remarkable job capturing her aesthetic while also adding a timeless quality to the photos. What really stood out was how comfortable he made us feel—his friendly demeanor truly made the experience enjoyable, which is no small feat in front of a camera. Working with Jeff was incredible from start to finish! We initially booked him for our engagement shoot, and his ability to capture exactly what we envisioned blew us away. Jeff and I planned a surprise engagement shoot for my fiancé. He's awesome to work with and just a genuinely great guy. He provided a few great options for potential hikes to take (we are from Wisconsin and didn't know the area) and did an amazing job at keeping the secret and making everything on the day of the proposal perfect. We also did an engagement shoot after the proposal and he was so fun to work with and model for! Super pumped with how the photos turned out as well. Beyond worth it to remember the happiest day of my life. Highly recommend

Jeff was amazing. He stood out to us immediately because of his prompt communication and organization. We trusted him from the beginning because of this. We had an engagement shoot with him while we were on vacation, and he made everything so easy for us. The photoshoot itself was fun (when I expected it to be awkward or feel forced) because of Jeff's demeanor and subtle prompting. He captured some great photos of us being ourselves - not too polished or posed. We really liked what we saw on his Instagram and our photos definitely lived up to his portfolio. We are super happy we found him and very highly recommend him to any couple.

We had the pleasure of working with Jeff for our engagement photos. We were traveling out of the area to Colorado to have our photos taken. Jeff made the process easy and seamless from start to finish. He communicated promptly and answered any of our questions/concerns leading up to the session. Jeff recommended an amazing location for us to have the shoot and came prepared with various poses to have us in. Jeff was extremely easy to work with and was outgoing, He made us feel comfortable throughout the entire session. High quality photos were given to us very quickly, with a full album available just a few days after the shoot. I would highly recommend Jeff for photography services and would work with him again!

Jeff was absolutely incredible! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to capture our small, intimate wedding day! His communication throughout the whole process, starting with inquiring about his services, up to receiving our photos, was top notch! My husband and I are pretty introverted people, but Jeff made sure we were both comfortable in front of the camera. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing photos taken. You won’t regret it!!

Jeff did an absolutely incredible job with our wedding photos!! It was a kind of elopement ceremony, so the venue was a nature preserve behind my apartment. Not the normal venue at all and he did such an incredible job! He’s great at capturing the candid moments and making us feel comfortable and natural!

Jeff made sure our wedding was perfectly captured so that we can relive the day for the rest of our lives. Beautiful editing that never took away from the people being photographed. He may be the professional and know the best way to shoot a wedding, but he listened to all of our wants and made sure that they were all met. Would recommend to anybody needing a photographer, wedding or not!

UPDATE after wedding:
Booking Jeff when we got our engagement pictures was the best decision we could've made. He got to the venue on our wedding day early, and came to the bridesmaids getting-ready area to get some really cute pictures. He was so fun to be around and took incredible pictures of my tables (a really important detail I asked for). He humored me in all my silly requests and it honestly felt like he was part of the party!
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
We wanted a photographer that would be relaxed and fun so we could feel and look natural in our engagement pictures. That’s exactly what we got! We had such a fun time that we hired him on the spot for our wedding. Jeff was so flexible and accommodating - he agreed to meet us at 6am to get golden hour shots in the city without a crowd! Could not recommend him more!
