Jekyll Island Club Resort

All staff at Jekyll Club have been great to work with and made us feel special throughout the entire process! When I first inquired w/ Dolores, knowing we weren’t ready to book she still took her time & appeared more than happy to answer my many questions. It wasn’t until a couple months later that I reached back out to book and of course Delores was very pleasant and quickly picked up where we left off. Once confirmed, she transitioned us to Jenni Voris, who was to be our designated wedding coordinator. There is so many wonderful things we can say about Jenni! She is truly the sweetest and we absolutely adored her! She treated us like family and was clear we were in great hands. Jenni did sadly transition to another position a few months prior to our wedding so we were transitioned to another coordinator named Rebecca. At first we were concerned but after our first meeting, it was clear we were in great hands with Rebecca. She not only was very sweet but did a great job making us feel comfortable. It was clear, she did her homework and read our file and was fully prepared for our first meeting. We quickly realized we were again be in good hands. She did stay true to this and did an incredible job with our wedding. When we arrived earlier in the week we found a beautiful card & bottle of champagne from Rebecca to start off our wedding week AND another surprise card and gift from Jenni! We did have some unforeseen circumstances where my husband-to-be to had to fly out the following morning which then meant I would be alone at the resort for a few days and knowing this was sweet enough to keep checking on me to make sure all was okay. One day she saw me walking in the rain trying find the bus so I could get my nails done at the beach village. She insisted on giving me a ride because she wanted to make sure I made it there okay and was safe. She also arranged for Mike (another pleasant employee) come pick me up when I was done. Mike was very nice and made it clear that if I needed anything else that he would be around and was happy to help. Prior to our wedding weekend, we made a couple other trips to Jekyll throughout the year. Each time, we fell in love with it more and more. We did our tasting during Doug’s birthday weekend (my now husband) and Cricket, the director of catering made sure to have a birthday card and bottle of champagne waiting for him in the room when we checked in :) Even Olivia (one of the bartenders) made such a good impression on us. She remembered us from one of our previous trips and went out of her way to say hello to us during our wedding weekend! Cheryl one of the employees that worked our wedding, took wonderful care of us! She made sure we had a moment to eat as she is could see how hard it was for us to take a moment to sit down in the midst of all our friends and family. I also completely forgotten to ask for someone to save the top tier of our wedding cake but of course sweet Cheryl had that all taken care of for us. She found me the next morning to hand to me all ready and boxed up. She even boxed up breakfast for us from our Farewell Breakfast as she saw we never got a chance to eat in the midst of saying goodbye to everyone. There are so many other positive things I can say about the staff at Jekyll Club but the main thing is that we are SO happy we had our wedding there and look forward to visiting throughout the years to reminisce such a special time in our lives <3
