About this vendor
I am based out of Madison, WI, but I love the opportunity to travel all over getting to meet couples in love. My photography style is classic and timeless with contemporary highlights. This means that you'll love the natural light flares and candid nature of the shots, and ten years from now you'll still be proud to show them off.
When we work together it's important to me that we have fun. I make the experience comfortable and stress-free, like we're old friends. I want to capture your quirks, personality and true self.

Jen was such a joy to work with as our wedding photographer! My husband and I are definitely not ones to consider ourselves "comfortable" in front of the camera, so we were incredi...
bly thankful to have Jen coach us through our engagement shoot and allow us to be more ourselves throughout the session. It was the perfect way to celebrate our engagement and get to know Jen even better before our big day -- which she absolutely crushed! She was punctual, soothing, and accommodating along with her second shooter! She captured everything on our (extensive) shot list from getting ready, formal portraits, ceremony, and reception. We loved all the candid photos that she was able to capture of our gusts as well. We were so thrilled with how the photos turned out and we will cherish them forever! Hopefully we'll get to work with Jen again in the future for family portraits :)

We LOVED Jen!
We met with Jen before the pandemic hit and hired her for our original wedding date. She worked with us on finding a date for our reschedule that worked for her. She...
stuck with us through venue changes, date changes, and all of the wedding details. She was professional and helpful and in charge when my large family needed to be bossed around a little during pictures (which I needed!). She remembered and was in tune with some touch family dynamics and made them a non-issue on the day. She worked well with our videographer and with all other vendors on the day to get all those in the moment detail shots.
Her site and navigating through pictures is SUPER easy and accessible for guests and family members.
We LOVED working with Jen and highly recommend her!
Jen absolutely amazing to work with! I am always uncomfortable with the center of attention/photos and she did a really great taking the most natural, unposed photos without feelin...
g awkward about it.
Jen is super helpful by helping you think of locations, pictures, and settings you would never think of. My favorite photo is one that was taken in a hallway with amazing wallpaper near an exit sign - it's my phone background!
I would recommend Jen again and again. It honestly felt like your friend was taking photos and making something that could be uncomfortable (*cough* engagement photos) and making it super fun!
Thank you again Jen! We will be using you in the future again!

Jen is truly amazing to work with! From our engagement session to the wedding day, she made our experience completely stress-free. It was important to me to find a photographer who...
was personable, detail oriented and took our concerns seriously. Jen was that and so much more!! She was always filled with ideas and was on her game 110% of the time. Our wedding day went so smoothly due to all her efforts, planning and coordination. She made taking wedding photos a highlight of our day! Seriously, so much fun! And of course her work is stunning . We will cherish it forever! I honestly can't speak highly enough of Jen!

eaks for itself. Her photos are timeless and elegant, but she also captured the candid moments perfectly. I know we will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives, and I'm honored to own her work.
Jen was amazing to work with on our wedding day. She was so accommodating, had great ideas for picture poses and locations, and she was so sweet. Leading up to our wedding day, Jen...
made herself extremely available to help with anything. She even created a wedding day timeline for us, which we shared with the rest of our vendors to create a smooth-flowing day. And her bride/groom questionnaire helped pinpoint what pictures were really important to us on our wedding day. Lastly, her pictures are fantastic. She is a true talent and a genuinely great person.
When planning our wedding, photography was the one of the most important if not the important thing to my husband and me. We spent HOURS looking for a photographer that seemed like...
a good fit. I am glad we did because we found Jen, and she was absolutely phenomenal and everything we could have asked for and more. Her personality is so fun and silly while also knowing how to get down to business. Jen knows her way around a wedding and provided an incredible amount of support for more than just photography. She legitimately helped us out with the timeline of our wedding! In addition to that, Jen's photos are perfect. Personally, I love the balance of making the photos BEAUTIFUL while not making them ever look unnaturally edited. Lastly, we both have BIG FAMILIES who aren't the best listeners and she handled this incredibly. We could not recommend her more.
Jen was perfect. The photos turned out lovely. Would definitely recommend!

re in a heartbeat. Our engagement and wedding pictures are gorgeous!! She makes you feel totally comfortable and yourself throughout the whole process. Prior to the wedding day, she reached out multiple times to be sure we had everything we needed and helped us create our picture grouping list and day of schedule! The day of the wedding, we got a bit behind schedule, as typical, but she went with the flow, adjusted on the fly, and still made sure we got all the pictures we wanted without making us feel stressed. Hands down, would recommended Jen!
Working with Jen was fantastic! She was so easy to communicate with and gave us all of the help and advice we needed to ensure our wedding day photography would turn out perfectly....
Not only is she a very talented photographer, but her demeanor is super laid back and kind. I appreciated how confident and calm she was on the wedding day, so my new husband and I could just relax while she wrangled all of the family members. The photos that we've seen so far are gorgeous and just what we were looking for: a mix of beautifully candid moments with a bit of staged portraiture mixed in. I highly recommend working with Jen for your wedding day or any occasion that requires amazing photography.
Jen was fantastic to work with! She was incredibly accommodating and listened to what we wanted. She was also very professional and timely and had the preview up so fast we hadn't...
even left the venue for our honeymoon yet! I highly recommend Jen Dederich Photography!

photo shoots which we found extremely helpful since we tend to get super awkward in front of a camera. We would recommend her to everyone and would even use her again for family portraits in the future. Thank you so much Jen you helped bring our wedding day to life and now it will live forever in your photos!!

ut the whole process. She really made an effort to get to know us and help us with whatever we needed in terms of wedding planning. It was also great to have someone so trustworthy and fun with us on our wedding day. We are thrilled with our photos and our decision to work with Jen!!
Jen was amazing! Let me start by saying, if you are thinking about working with Jen for your wedding, stop thinking about it and book now!
Jen made Chris and I feel 100% at ease, ...
comfortable with camera, and delivered images that blew us away. I am beyond grateful to have the images that Jen took be the representation of our wedding.
Our photos were delivered quickly, with a preview post the day after the wedding, a blog post a few weeks later, followed by the full collection!
I really couldn't have asked for a better photographer!
I cannot say enough good things about Jen. She helped us out for over TWO years and provided the most insanely gorgeous photos. I could not ask for anything better. She was a dream...
to work with throughout the years - from engagement, to meetings, to the actual day. She helped to provide a schedule and kept the day flowing smoothly. Even though it rained on us, she was able to come up with a plan b for photos, and I think the rain worked out in our favor, because the photos we did get at the plan b location are stunning. I will always recommend Jen whenever someone asks me for a photographer recommendation!!
Jen is fantastic! She is fun, easy-going, and extremely talented, and we just couldn't be any happier with her work. She made our wedding day perfect, and we can't wait to look bac...
k at her beautiful pictures for years to come.
We only gave Jen 5 stars because we weren't allowed to give her any more! Jen perfectly captured the feel and style we wanted for our wedding while giving great professional input...
. We spent a lot of time making our own decorations and were thrilled to see how many great pictures she took of all the little details we loved about our wedding. While many aspects of wedding planning were stressful, we never once worried about the photography thanks to Jen. She kept in constant contact before, during, and after our wedding and was always calm and reassuring. When the schedule on our wedding day got off track, she was the most composed person there and kept telling us there was plenty of time. She was right! If we had just ended up with the pictures that we did, we would have been ecstatic but with Jen the experience was way above and beyond just taking pictures.
Jen is incredibly talented, easy to work with, and keeps everything running on schedule. My pictures are beautiful and her prices are really reasonable! She shoots in a creative, p...
hotojournalistic style with some more formal poses (family photos, etc) if you want. Highly recommended!
