Jen is great to work with on your wedding day! Her personality, professionalism, and style make her an ideal photographer. Meeting with her before the wedding and on the day of the wedding, she was focused on getting pictures without intruding on the experience of the wedding day itself. Jen never asked me to do anything that made me uncomfortable--I didn't want to take pictures kissing the groom, so she didn't push this. I didn't want to take silly pictures--so she didn't ask us to make funny faces. I'm sure she'd oblige you on both counts if this is your thing! But she is attuned to your preferences--that is what matters. Jen was also really efficient. You should not miss your reception & time with your friends because you are having your pictures taken--and Jen gets this. She took so many beautiful pictures of my bridal party that I cannot choose which ones to print, and yet I got to attend part of the cocktail hour. I cannot stress how important this was to me! Don't miss your own party!! You will be hard-pressed to get all your loved ones in one room again anytime soon. Jen also has a great eye. The formal qualities of her photographs make them beautiful and display her personal aesthetic. BUT & this is so important to me, she does not make all her wedding pictures look the same. You will not walk away from your experience with her with some cookie-cutter set of images--the wedding pictures will capture and reflect the choices that YOU, the couple, made about your wedding. I could go on and on here, but a few highlights of working with her: We have my favorite beautiful portraits of myself & the groom--they are outside, the green is so saturated and gorgeous in these pictures and she made us look our best. The picture of my parents is a treasure--it is my favorite portrait of them since their own wedding. The precious snapshots of sister surprising my my father-in-law with a kiss on the cheek. The picture she took of my husband and me laughing while we danced--I love it. She edited my photographs in one month flat--that is really quick! Her 2nd shooter figured out how to bustle my dress when we all forgot. As someone very invested in the visual, I worried a lot about finding the right photographer and I couldn't have been more pleased!

Until my own wedding, I didn't realize the hard work it takes to be a wedding photographer. (I've been to lots of wedding but, like many of the ads suggest, photographers are wall flowers and you don't pay attention. Now I take notice.) Running around place to place all day, no breaks. Catching every moment sure requires a lot of energy. Jen easily meets the challenge - she's fantastic at this. As for her pictures, they speak for themselves. They're beautiful and natural. No funny photoshop colors. Also, what drew me to Jen's pictures is that she is very good at an in focus subject and very blurred background. I don't know what you call that but, to me, it really brings to light the emotions of the night. In the photos, you see 1 happy hug, 1 crazed dancer with a tie on his head, or 1 big laugh .... instead of a sea of details. That was my favorite part of Jen's photos.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with the lovely and talented, Jen Kroll for our engagement and wedding photos. Jen followed my vision beautifully during our engagement session and has provided us with the most timeless and breathtaking photos to treasure forever! By the time our wedding arrived about 7 months later, I felt so comfortable and confident that Jen would work her talent and take beautiful photos of our special day. On a side note, I cut other things out of our budget in order to have Jen because I felt that her work captured my essence and I felt connected to her technique-I couldn't have proceeded without her!! ; ) Jen treated us with such ease and professionalism while making us feel like we were important clients. After viewing Jen's blog and falling in love with her images, my fiance and I arranged time to meet her. Upon our first hug, we instantly felt comfortable with Jen. We left our meeting with her knowing that without a doubt she was the photographer for us. She is so sweet, kind, and easy-going, and we truly enjoyed meeting her and talking with her about a variety of things, not just our wedding. When it came to planning for and the actual day of our wedding, Jen was the same sweet, kind, and easy-going person we had initially met. She not once made us feel stressed or worried about the photos for our day. When she arrived at the salon to take photos of the ladies as we got ready, she made my family, friends and I feel at ease from the moment she showed up. Throughout our day, she found a way to capture the most incredible moments, but she and her second shooter, Ryan, were never once intrusive. It was very natural, and they were both honestly such a joy to have as a part of our day! The anticipation for the delivery of your wedding photos is obviously huge, and my fiance and I could not have been more excited to receive ours from Jen. When we received the link to our photos, they absolutely blew us away. She captured every last detail of our wedding so beautifully, and all of her images were so much more than either of us ever expected. Over a year later, her photos still take our breath away, and they will be cherished for the rest of our lives. We cannot recommend Jen highly enough to any bride and groom! We met with Jen when we were choosing the photographer for our daughter's wedding and she was spectacular! Her photos are gorgeous and she's just as sweet and kind as you could ever hope for. My daughter really loved her pictures too. We were in the enviable position of having two photographers that she loved! We ONLY went with someone else because she felt a stronger connection with her since she was adopted from South Korea and so was the photographer she chose. I was impressed by Jen's credentials and the fact she's won Best of Weddings multiple times. I know folks that have used her and there is never anything but the highest compliments for her and her work. You could never go wrong using Jen....I KNOW this!

I loved Jen Kroll from the moment I met her, almost two years before our wedding day. She is so professional, easy going, and really listens to the bride and groom. Not only is she a great person, her work is beyond amazing. What I loved about Jen and Ryan is that they captured not only the big things but the little details. I love the detail shots that they do and it makes it that much more intimate. They went above and beyond on our big day and did anything for a great shot, even in the 104 degree hot July day! We were so comfortable with them, and that to me is so important when picking a photographer. Being able to let loose and be yourself in your wedding photos is a must, and Jen makes you feel so at ease. The family pictures when by so quick and easy with her, and they turned out beautiful. I can't wait to have Jen shoot so many more of our future life events! She is worth every penny and is so much more than just a "wedding photographer." True story: I hired Jen Kroll even before I was engaged for my Labor Day 2011 wedding. That is how important photography was to my wedding. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and her assistant Ryan. She was accessible, easy to work with and punctual with her communication, which I appreciated as a busy bride. But honestly, it is her photographs will blow you away. Jen captured our day perfectly and her lens will tell a "story" of your wedding that you will have forever. Every family or friend who has looked at our pictures has told us they are the best wedding photos they have ever seen. I cannot describe how wonderful it was to have Jen as my wedding photographer. She has such incredible talent and an amazing eye. She was there for all the little moments in the wedding and reception, and best of all I don't even remember seeing her taking the pictures! All of my pictures are so stunning and memorable. Jen is the absolute best. Our photos are simply stunning and it is almost impossible to pick just a few that we love. I have almost all of them marked as my favorites on her proofing site. On our wedding day, she blended right in with the guests and still managed to capture moments that we had missed while they were happening. The way Jen paid great attention to detail was so wonderful to me. She made everyone look stunning. She was able to capture my day as it happened, the emotion was on our faces. She also did an amazing engagement photo shoot the day before which allowed us to feel completely at ease with her the day of our wedding.
