nd met with her a year prior to the wedding when we were talking to lots of photographers and trying to find the best fit. The search was over after that meeting because I could tell right away that she would be the perfect person to photograph our big day. We did an engagement session with Jen and her husband, Josh (a great second shooter), the fall before our wedding. I am so glad we had the opportunity to get to know them a little before the wedding, plus the photos were gorgeous! They are incredibly nice and just so great at putting everyone at ease - our smiles and laughs in our photos look so natural because they are. We had so much fun! When we saw them again at the wedding it was like greeting old friends, and we were so comfortable having them around documenting the day. They were so organized with lists that the formal photos went more quickly than anyone expected (our wedding party and family members were very impressed with the lack of waiting around time). The more casual, candid, and detail photos they took are also amazing and I cannot wait to see all our pictures when they are done. I didn't live in the area while I was planning my wedding, but Jen is super easy to get & stay in contact with even from afar - she is really good about responding to emails and always had super advice and tips if I had questions about absolutely anything. She was always willing to set up a meeting and work around when I would be in town. Even though I know she is a busy person, she was always great about making everything feel so personal. I truly believe she deeply cares about each and every one of her clients, and it definitely shines through in the care she takes in crafting relationships and capturing beautiful moments. Jen's kindhearted personality and artistic eye are perfect for this career, and I can't wait to book her for more photos in the future!

ith her. Jen was very easy to communicate with and very flexible with making plans for the big day. She kept in good contact with me between when we first met and the actual wedding so I felt like we were well prepared when the time came. On the day of the wedding, Jen and her second shooter (her husband Josh) did a great job. They were professional and captured amazing photos throughout the day. We had photos during the ceremony, select formals in front of the altar and bridal party photos in downtown Iowa City followed by general reception photos. In each setting Jen knew exactly what to do to get a great photo. She was also very organized with the formals and we flew through them even with having to coordinate everyone! Beyond the high quality of work she did, Jen was so considerate and nice and was genuinely happy to be a part of our day. I loved working with her and give her my highest recommendation. My only regret is that we did not have the opportunity to do an engagement shoot with her as my now husband and I were living in San Francisco while we planned the wedding!
