We’re lucky to have awesome engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding photos by Jen. We had to move our wedding from Asheville to Winston-Salem due to Hurricane Helene, and Jen was able to still photograph our wedding despite the venue change. She made the transition to a new venue seamlessly, and put our minds at ease in a stressful time. On the wedding day, Jen made us and our guests feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Her ability to blend into the background while still capturing candid, emotional moments was impressive. She also has a fantastic eye for lighting, and we have some gorgeous photos of our ceremony during golden hour. When we received the photos, we were blown away! Each picture felt like a work of art, telling the story of our special day so perfectly. The turnaround time for the edited photos was quick, and the quality was outstanding. The system she uses to share photos allows them to be separated into sections and sort by facial recognition, which made the process of finding specific photos simple. We highly recommend Jen to anyone looking for timeless, stunning wedding photos!

in a photographer. After the call she sent us a draft wedding timeline so she was also clearly organized and responsive. We interviewed a few photographers but for these reasons Jen was our first choice. From the moment she arrived on the wedding day the whole process of taking photos went extremely smoothly. We got married at the Inn on Biltmore Estate and since she has photographed at the Biltmore before she was familiar with all their rules and knew all the good spots for picture taking. She also has a great eye for details and lighting and took some great detail shots too. During portraits she was great at corraling the wedding party and family into picture groups and always had a funny quip or question to get people laughing for more natural smiles and to make people feel more comfortable and look relaxed in photos. During the ceremony and reception she was definitely not intrusive and captured some great pictures without getting in the way of us or guests having fun during dinner and dancing. To top it all off, she starting posting some pictures to social media only a few days later and delivered all our wedding photos within four days! We were so excited and amazed to receive them back so quickly and there was definitely no compromise in the quality of the photos from the quick turnaround. The pictures were so beautiful and we're so happy to have them to remember our wedding day for years to come!

She was also quick to lean in to our unserious personalities and got some amazing couples pictures that perfectly captured each moment. Some of my favorite shots are of us laughing hysterically or cracking a joke. With the band in the background at the reception, you can feel the energy and almost hear the music through the pictures. We knew by the end of the day that we would have fabulous pictures and, due to an unexpected connection over DnD, we left feeling like we had made a new friend as well. I would recommend Jen for any occasion where you want incredible photos, a high attention to detail, helpful insight into framing and posing, and just a great person to spend a couple of hours with to boot.

While I was not hearing back from other venders and having to hunt them down, Jen always responded. Jen is so on top of it! Every time I was stressed, Jen brought me so much peace and comfort with her quick and thorough help and suggestions, with ZERO judgement! They are also really creative and adaptive - capturing elusive lighting in the gardens, magically making the uninvited gnats appear and finding perfect improvised props for a photo - and they’d never even been to my venue before. Jen made posing really easy (something I was nervous about) and her suggested improvised poses yielded some of my favorite photos. The day of your wedding can be a real whirlwind, and I can’t describe how wonderful it felt to look through the photos afterward and have all those little details waiting there for me. Go ahead and get a hold of Jen before she’s all booked up!

ot ones to take a millions pictures of ourselves, so having professional shots that we could treasure and share with our family was very important to us. Jen far exceeded our expectations. She made us feel so comfortable and confident. Half the time we didn't even know she was shooting. The photos came out so beautifully- very classy portraits, with some cutesy shots thrown in and amazing attention to detail. She is able to pick up on your personality and let it shine. When my bridesmaids and I were getting ready things did not look pretty- we were running late, there were bags and bandaids everywhere- and yet the photos show such a happy atmosphere with trash out of the shot;) Our family and friends are still gushing over the photos months later. It means the world to us to see our parents get teary eyed going through the slideshow:) Jen gives you many options regarding ordering photos after they are ready (which was only 2 weeks after the event!) and her prices seemed more than fair esp. given the Asheville wedding market. We would in a heartbeat recommend her to anyone getting married in the Asheville area

We wanted images that would make our friends and family who weren't there (which is all but 4!) feel like they were sharing the day. Jo got those, and even the posed pics that Mom wanted.
