Jen was such an amazing addition to our wedding family. Not only were we blown away by the photos she took, but she was such a joy to have around for the day. The wedding party, my family, and even our guests were raving about how much fun she was. Her enthusiasm for what she does really shines in the faces of the people she's working with which make for the most beautiful photos. I was also incredibly impressed with how quickly she was able to finish our edits. All of the photos from our wedding were done in about a week and a half. I cannot recommend Jen enough.

Jen was phenomenal to work with! Her photography style is gorgeous and I felt like she really captured who we are as a couple. We had an engagement shoot at Black Balsam Knob and she photographed the day of our wedding. She was on time for both events and made us feel so at ease. She also helped save the day by getting us back on track after hair and makeup was running behind schedule. Jen’s communication and organization are exceptional. She responded promptly to emails & texts and also had timelines that helped me stay organized while planning. Having her as our photographer was the most stress free part of wedding planning! I would 100 percent book her again and can’t wait to in the future for other occasions. Jen is sweet, personable, professional and amazing at what she does! Her turnaround time was super quick and I love how user friendly her photo galleries are. She even includes a link to make things easy to share with friends and family. Her services were worth every penny!!

I made the best decision besides the "I do" by hiring Jen to photograph my wedding. The intimate moments she captured during the day were absolutely stunning, thanks to her eye for detail. Jen arrived at the venue early to find the best spots for the best pictures, which showed her professionalism. Along with that, she has a wonderful personality that puts one at ease. She made our couple's portraits easy and fun and even managed to get 6 kids to look at the camera! I'm extremely happy with our photos and will cherish them forever. I guarantee you'll have a great experience too if you work with Jen.

Jen is AMAZING!!!! Can not recommend her enough. She was so delightful to work with and made the picture taking process fun. Our engagement pictures were fantastic and she even hiked out to Black Balsam Knob to help us get the best shot. She spent a ten hours with us on our wedding day and was patient, kind, and worked tirelessly the entire time. I don't know how she does it!! We cannot recommend Jen enough as a wedding photographer! From the get-go, her organization shone through, ensuring every detail was taken care of. Not only is she very good at what she does, but her vibrant personality also made our sessions so much fun. But what truly took our breath away were the final photographs – they were absolutely stunning. And to top it off, she turned them around much faster than we or anyone expected. Jen did such an amazing job with our photos! We had a 3 pm July wedding at Highland Brewing Company. It was hot, we were sweaty, and the light was in and out but Jen kept the energy up and got so many perfect shots. We got the entire gallery in less than a week after the wedding and everything was absolutely perfect. She captured every important moment and detail. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Jen was absolutely amazing to work with. We only have positive things to say! . She was incredibly flexible with us when the weather made our engagement shoot a little tricky. She made everyone feel so comfortable during the wedding photos, and was able to balance traditional photos with silly and loosening everyone up! She was able to 100% meet my vision, and really made me feel like we were in a fairytale!

Jen photographed our wedding at Hi-Wire Big Top and we couldn’t be more pleased! Our wedding was a destination wedding in Asheville, and she made everything so easy for us, especially considering we couldn’t meet in person until the day of! She is so much fun to work with, so kind, and very professional. We would highly recommend!!!

We hired Jen as our wedding photographer and could not have been more thrilled with the experience. Neither of us has ever had ever had professional photos taken, and Jen made us both feel like we were born to be in front of the camera. She gave the perfect amount of direction to make us feel comfortable, but also knew how important it was to be natural and ourselves. The pictures all came out GORGEOUS and on top of everything, Jen is so bubbly and sweet. Working with her was an absolute pleasure. Stop debating…hire Jen immediately before she gets scooped up!

Jen Yuson is hands down the best photographer! Her photos are exquisite and she has incredible talent. Best of all, she's talented PLUS a dream to work with. I was a very anxious bride and wanted to double, triple check a-lot of our plans. Jen was kind, compassionate and so incredibly responsive. While I was not hearing back from other venders and having to hunt them down, Jen always responded. Jen is so on top of it! Photos are easily the most important part of your day and to have someone who you feel confident will execute everything exactly as you imagine it is crucial. Every time I was stressed, Jen brought me so much peace and comfort with her quick and thorough help and suggestions, with ZERO judgement! She never once made me feel like a crazy bride (like many other vendors did) but validated all of my feelings. I couldn't recommend her enough!! Plus as I mentioned, the photos are just DIVINE!

We love Jen!!! We hired Jen to photograph our small ceremony at my parents house and our large reception (the next day) at a brewery. She excelled in both scenarios! From amazing couple photos in front of the mountains to rooftop guest photos to action shots of the dancing, our pictures are better than I could have ever dreamed. From the beginning I loved Jen because of her fun personality and how easy she was to work with. Our plans changed a lot and she was always able to adapt and go with the flow. We planned a small destination wedding in Asheville and found Jen's artful photography on her website very appealing. What we could not have possibly imagined (since we were from out of state) is what a dream Jen would be to work with. She literally worked all angles of the outdoor mountaintop venue and then back at the hotel - both outdoors and in the restaurant for the reception dinner table and cake - all with a bubbly and friendly demeanor with the direction of a serious pro. She showed genuine passion for making us comfortable and feeling fantastic during our most special day - and captured the best of all of it. We recommend Jen Yuson Photography in the most enthusiastic way possible!

Jen and Shawn are delightful to work with - they’re flexible, professional and right away you can tell that they care. They care about their craft and about helping you capture this important moment in your life from candid expressions in your vows to like vignettes of the ambience and mood of your reception. They are also really creative and adaptive - capturing elusive lighting in the gardens, magically making the uninvited gnats appear and finding perfect improvised props for a photo - and they’d never even been to my venue before. Jen made posing really easy (something I was nervous about) and her suggested improvised poses yielded some of my favorite photos. The day of your wedding can be a real whirlwind, and I can’t describe how wonderful it felt to look through the photos afterward and have all those little details waiting there for me. Go ahead and get a hold of Jen before she’s all booked up!

Jen and Shawn were a dream to work with. We asked them to handle our engagement session and wedding and could not be more pleased with the process and outcome. My groom and I are not ones to take a millions pictures of ourselves, so having professional shots that we could treasure and share with our family was very important to us. Jen far exceeded our expectations. She made us feel so comfortable and confident. Half the time we didn't even know she was shooting. The photos came out so beautifully- very classy portraits, with some cutesy shots thrown in and amazing attention to detail. She is able to pick up on your personality and let it shine. When my bridesmaids and I were getting ready things did not look pretty- we were running late, there were bags and bandaids everywhere- and yet the photos show such a happy atmosphere with trash out of the shot;) Our family and friends are still gushing over the photos months later. It means the world to us to see our parents get teary eyed going through the slideshow:) Jen gives you many options regarding ordering photos after they are ready (which was only 2 weeks after the event!) and her prices seemed more than fair esp. given the Asheville wedding market. We would in a heartbeat recommend her to anyone getting married in the Asheville area

Jen is amazing! She was our photographer for our wedding in June 2016 in Asheville, NC. She was extremely easy to work with. Very flexible and professional. She has a very carefree and relaxed demeanor that makes spending hours in front of the camera seem fun. The photos are what we have to remember the day with and Jen did an incredible job. We loved every single photo. The way she was able to capture the little candid moments as well as the big moments. She had way of moving about like a photographer ninja, I would forget she was even there. I loved that Jen would pull my husband and I aside and say "the lighting is really great over here right now, lets get a couple of shots" and those are some of our favorite photos! I highly recommend!

Amazing photos!!! We had Beth and her assistant, and couldn't have asked for someone better. Super attentive, helpful, and detail oriented - and at the same time, you didn't notice she was there. Received hundreds of photos, all of which turned out fabulously.

Jo was our photographer, and even though we had a TINY wedding, we were so comfortable with her that it felt like having an old friend, and she's so ninja-like that our priest noted that he forgot her presence during the ceremony. Jen and Jo were great to work with before the wedding, and were very accommodating to our (lack of) planning. We wanted images that would make our friends and family who weren't there (which is all but 4!) feel like they were sharing the day. Jo got those, and even the posed pics that Mom wanted. I hope to use them for the first child's baptism!

Jen and Shawn did a fabulous job photographing our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Not only did they do an amazing job, but they were so nice as well! They were a breeze to work with and captured some of the most amazing moments of our big day. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

My husband, Mark, and I got married on September 20th of this year. We used Jen Yuson photography, and Jo was our photographer for the big day. She was absolutely wonderful! She is full of excitement and was snapping photos the entire time she was at the wedding (7 hours!). She also took photos for my bridal portraits and they turned out absolutely amazing! The turnaround time was fast and her and Jen both responded quickly to any emails or questions I had. As a photographer myself, I only have great things to say about both Jen and Jo and would recommend them to anyone in the area!

Suzie with Jen Yuson was very friendly, personable and great to work with. I do wish we'd been able to get more candid shots during wedding party portrait time, but they captured amazing shots throughout the ceremony & reception. She was very open to specific photos that we wanted, and had plenty of great ideas for shots we hadn't thought of. Overall, I'd certainly recommend her for an Asheville wedding!

In a word, Jen Yuson Photography is AMAZING. From the very beginning, Jen provided my husband and I with lots of information and was responsive to all of our questions. In addition, she provided a thorough pre-event consultation questionnaire that gave us the opportunity to describe our special event and specific moments that we wanted her to capture. On the day of the event, Jen and her husband Shawn were both professional and enjoyable. I had been leary about having a photographer shoot my "getting ready" process; however, Jen was so easy and fun to work with that it only enhanced an already wonderful morning! During our ceremony (a full Catholic Mass) and reception (a brunch), Jen and her husband were so inconspicuous that my mother remarked "Wow! I didn't even notice them taking those photos!" after viewing our digital photo album. There is no question that Jen is an experienced and accomplished photographer. She used several different types of cameras (digital camera, color film camera, black & white camera - and others that I cannot readily identify!), and knew exactly which ones were best for capturing specific shots. We were seriously "WOW-ed" as we looked through all of the photos from our special day (and, there were SOOOO many beautiful photos to look through!)! We are also totally satisfied with the different product packages that Jen Yuson Photography had to offer, and were able to pick one that fit our needs and budget. The end products (digital album, flipbook, DVD, proof books, and prints) were put together beautifully, and delivered quickly. Also, Jen's digital photo gallery is easy to navigate and easy for others (e.g., parents) to access and purchase their own prints if they so desire. All in all, my husband and I are 100% thrilled with the service and products provided by Jen Yuson Photography. We both consider choosing Jen Yuson Photography as one of our absolute best wedding planning decisions!

I LOVED working with Jen Yuson--she was fantastic, from the moment of our first email communications to how quickly she got our photos back--I knew she said that it was typically going to be 6-8 weeks, but perhaps knowing the upcoming challenges ahead for me (I got married and then 2 weeks later started chemo treatment for breast cancer) Jen moved heaven and earth and sent our flip book so that it was waiting for us when we got back from the cancer center--such a treat! But really, it's Jen's eye that is incredible--she is a true artist--I can easily envision her work on the walls of the NC Art Museum (Jen, you should consider sending them some of the photos of the sculpture "gyre" and the Lowe's Pavillion). Seriously, I am not prone to gushing but all I can say is that if you are looking for a photographer for any event, stop now--you've found her! She's flexible, unobtrusive during the event, but absolutely charming and delightful in all the right ways.
