Nice people with astoundingly terrible product and service. I have 7 children and have used photographers for 5 weddings, and many other occasions. Jenessa Scherer is the worst ...
I’ve ever dealt with. Details …
POOR PRODUCT: All group family photos were out of focus on the entire right side of the frame. The bride/groom were not positioned in the center of the family photos (not even close), but rather on the right side of center. Group photos were taken so close that the proportions do not enable enlargements - 4x6 photos were fine, but anything larger (even 8x10 photos) required a white band on the top and bottom. Photographer promised she would enlist a professional to make corrections but I gave up after many promises that it would happen “next week”. My iphone could have done a better job at capturing the family group.
TIMELINESS AND INTEGRITY: The contract stated photos would be provided within 14 weeks but they arrived 4 months after the wedding and the video arrived 8 months after the wedding (2 months past deadline). Dozens of emails were sent inquiring about missed deadlines; most were ignored but many promised that the product will be coming “next week”.
Although we take no issue with the video product, we paid $5000 for the “Ultimate Package” and a year and a half after the wedding, still don’t have a decent family photo to hang on the wall. Would give them no stars if I could.
Have always loved working with Jenessa + Chris. Their creativity and genuine passion for storytelling shine through in every project. They have a gift for capturing moments and tur...

I caution you before hiring this company for any video services!!. Hired 9-2024 for video for daughter wedding. Video was over 6 wks late to arrive (lots of excuses from computer d...
ied to vaca)- we pd for extra hour to include wedding sparkler sendofff- groom sang to bride as a surprise, and NONE of that was in video -& only 30 seconds of sparkler send off. When complained, they offered to add those back in (and fix 2 long "black" delays in video). 13 emails back & forth, deadlines missed & false promises. Last email was June 30th 2025 was told 2 weeks for new video, still waiting! 1 yr after their beautiful wedding and still no complete video. Warning Janessa owner will call you "friend/s"- do not hire them!!
I recently worked with Jenessa and her husband on a styled shoot at a new venue in Saint Paul and it was such a vibrant, fun, giggly day! The Scherers brought so much energy and jo...
y to the space and put everyone at ease, including the models with less experience. I imagine this would translate so well to how they interact with couples who are nervous on their wedding day! If you're looking for a photo/video duo who work seamlessly together, bring a lot of laughter to the day, and who deliver beautiful work -- Scherer Photo Co is your team!
WOW! First off, my husband and I knew we wanted a videographer for our wedding but had no idea where to start. We interviewed a few other videographers, but knew immediately follow...
ing our discussion with Jenessa that we’d found our crew. Jenessa was so easy to talk to and came very well prepared to answer any question we had. After interviewing Jenessa, my husband and I were amazed at how sweet and caring she was!! Not only did we get her, but her amazingly talented husband, Chris, as well!! Talk about a mega-score!!! These two have been in the industry for some time and it absolutely shows. They are beyond talented and know how to make you feel so comfortable and confident while being recorded/photographed. I can confidently say these two will not only be our go-to video team for the future, but also lifelong friends!
Scherer photography was second to none in making and capturing our wedding experience beautifully. From our first meeting with Jenessa she helped ease our worries of planning for o...
ur big day. She helped us with a timeline for our wedding day, and was there with recommendations for any other vendors we asked about. On the day of our wedding, she and her husband acted as so much more than photographers. They were nerve calmers, wedding party coordinators, dress fluffers, time managers, cheerleaders, and by the end of the day friends. You will not be disappointed with their gorgeous photos, and you will be impressed with their professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond to make your day special. Chris and Jenessa as a team truly made our day perfect!
I am felt so lucky to have Jenessa and her husband be our photographers for our wedding. I met with Jenessa a couple times and felt so excited and confident that I had nothing to w...
orry about come our big day. They made me and my husband and wedding party feel so comfortable and we had an awesome time. Honestly half way through I forgot they were taking pictures, which made the pictures turn out amazing, everyone was so in the moment.
Jenessa and her husband shot our Best Day Ever in Northern Mn last year. Down to the minute detail they were there for us and engaged wonderfully with our family. All our photos ar...
e beautiful and accurately tell the story of our wedding day. I had enough photos to make 6 separate photo albums for family members and a gigantic album just for us. I never get tired of my photos and sometimes i see new expressions or people I may have missed on that busy day. Thank you both so much, I know you'll make many many more couples as happy as we are. Thanks for everything, it meant so much to us!!
