About this vendor
Alaska’s rugged beauty is what led me to become a photographer. I started capturing the stunning landscapes and amazing wildlife when I moved to Kodiak as a military spouse in 2009, but I soon discovered I enjoyed creating portraits and capturing life’s special moments even more. Now those scenic views are the backdrops for my client’s stories and Alaska has become my permanent home.
As a photographer, I get to meet the most amazing couples and capture the beautiful elements of their special day so they can relive the memories for years to come. Utilizing a photo-journalistic style of blending in and capturing your day as it unfolds, allows me to document your wedding in a way that won’t interrupt or take away from you enjoying these amazing moments with your beloved and family.
Rather than making you fit set package options, I offer an hourly rate so you can book as little or as much coverage as you need and fits your budget. I also offer a complimentary engagement session when you book wedding or elopement photography services. I find it’s a good way for couples to get to know me and become comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day.
Considering a micro-wedding or elopement?
I've combined my prior experience as an event planner, my knowledge of Alaskan locations, the relationships I’ve established with local vendors, and my photography skills to offer a limited number of all-inclusive elopement packages each year. Jenna is awesome! We had a couples photo session prior to the wedding, and got some amazing shots for our wedding website and invites. At the wedding itself, Jenna was on point! We...
got some wonderful candid photos getting ready, perfectly sweet photos of the ceremony and the vows, and epic photos during the reception involving a moose and swords. Jenna can really capture the life of a party and the beautiful little moments that happen at a wedding. She was flexible, pleasant to work with, funny, responsive with communication, and provided a *huge* amount of photos that we will treasure forever. (Seriously, I'm still sorting through which one I like best months later.) I would highly recommend Jenna'D Photography to anyone getting married, especially if you have anything quirky you want captured - Jenna was fun to do photos with and just rolls with whatever you wanna do. Absolutely worth it!
Jenna was great to work with, and it was a pleasure to have her join us for our wedding day. Even though I was planning my wedding from out of town she worked through every detail ...
with me and gave me exactly what I wanted. She even walked down a mile long trail to do our outdoor portraits! I have already recommended her to an engaged friend of mine, and I will continue to do so.
