xtremely disappointed in how the entire situation was handled by Jennie. All of our vendors were extremely accommodating in moving our deposits to our new 2022 date (most I was able to change no problem, and a couple we paid very reasonable change fees) which was so greatly appreciated throughout all of this; however, Jennie (the only vendor out of 7 vendors that we had issues with) takes weeks to answer emails and when she did answer she gave an extremely vague response that she would not be booking weddings in 2022. The complete lack of information was very upsetting considering I just lost a very large deposit. I would have totally understood had she explained to me that she was already booked on the day I’m rescheduling, but it’s not that she was already booked - she just decided not to transfer deposits for anyone who rescheduled weddings to 2022. Still to this day haven’t received a straight, non-vague answer. The fact that she didn’t provide any clear, reasonable explanation and then just keeps a $1k+ deposit is not good business in my opinion. I know that as a bride I personally would only want to work with vendors that treated their clients well and were accommodating and understanding during Covid so I wanted other brides to know about this experience as well. I hope Jennie take this review into consideration when she works with future customers as I would neither work with her nor recommend her again.

he process, Jennie and her team were absolutely AMAZING. At my hair/make-up trial, Jennie took all of my recommendations and gave her expertise about what would work best for my hair type. She was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure what she did exceeded my expectations. On the day of my wedding, Jennie and her team arrived right on time and were well-prepared. In addition to being extremely friendly, they ensured that all of my bridesmaids were pleased with the services they received. I had eight bridesmaids and three flowergirls and they actually got done ahead of schedule! The entire process was absolutely perfect!! THANK YOU!

N to work with. I highly recommend renting out their studio, too. It made for an awesome morning of spending time with my bridesmaids, mom, MIL and gave us a ton of space to rotate around and also enjoy breakfast, music, etc. They did an amazing job and I'm so grateful!

I did. It was great to test out different looks and, most importantly, I loved getting to know Jennie and her team. It allowed me to go into my wedding day relaxed, knowing I was in AMAZING hands. Jennie is an artist and such a pro at what she does, while also being so easy to talk to and connect with on a personal level. Jennie is genuine and truly cares about her clients. I’ve never received a follow-up call after any other hair appointment, but a few days after visiting Jennie for my first color/cut, I received a call to see how my experience was and if I was happy with the result (so thoughtful!). Jennie’s team is also outstanding. I loved working with Morgan for color – she is amazing at what she does and so fun! When I had a few last-minute concerns about my color, Morgan and Jennie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for my wedding day. I loved having Jennie do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She made me feel so relaxed throughout and truly made me feel like a bride. I can’t recommend Jennie and her team highly enough. me at ease for the big day. The salon was really easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding, and Jennie herself handled the booking of my appointments--she was so sweet! My bridesmaids and I did in-salon appointments, but I thought it was great that the salon could go to you if you so desired. Huge shout out to Emily and Brandon who did my bridemaids' hair and makeup, too; they looked drop-dead gorgeous.

, she is super talented and easygoing! I was fairly particular about what I wanted from my makeup, and I even brought some of my products with me. Jennie was more than happy to use them, and we had a fun time playing around during my trial to get the look just right for the big day. and my HAIR looked absolute perfection. She is a perfectionist and will take her time getting it right. Lastly, it was horrendous weather in late September on my wedding day, and JK kept everything calm and light in the salon :). Brandon did the makeup for the bridal party ladies, and he did an amazing job, too! Thank you, Jennie Kay!!

edding weekend was the best decision I ever made! Jennie is a master colorist and before the weekend got underway she colored my hair and achieved the exact color I was going for! Jennie did such an amazing dye job that my maid of honor said that she didn't realize my hair was in need of a breath of new life until Jennie's amazing color job! Her balayage skills are second to none and she is a true artist when she paints your hair. Jennie's team also did my hair and makeup, as well as my MOH's and my mom's, for my wedding welcome party and again they knocked it out of the park. They achieved the exact look each one of us was going for, and throughout the evening we were showered with compliments regarding our hair and makeup. Jennie and Steph also did the hair for myself, my bridal party, my mom and mother-in-law on my big day. Jennie and Steph created amazing looks that captured exactly what each of the women wanted but at the same time managed to make everything look cohesive. The weather on my wedding day was pretty windy, and at the last minute I asked Jennie if she wouldn't mind staying for touch-ups, even though this had not been planned Jennie went with the flow and stayed to help out some more! Having spent so much time with Jennie and her team during the weekend, I feel like I got to know her and her team well and connected with them on a level deeper than one of stylist and client. Jennie is one of the most genuinely kind people I have ever met and her presence was both energetic and calming, as well as positive and caring. Jennie made sure everyone felt comfortable and loved the way they looked. I cannot truly put into words how grateful I am that I had Jennie and her team around me all throughout my wedding weekend. After spending so much time with Jennie, I consider her to be a close friend and part of the family; I cannot wait to work with Jennie again and I will not be going to anyone else to get my hair colored!!! Thank you, Jennie!!!!

r from the minute I had my hair trial to when I was running out the door to get to the church. She absolutely nailed the look I wanted - natural but beautiful. Erin helped coordinate ALL the details to perfection, and having Jennie in the room the day of my wedding was really like having one of the girls with me. She honestly felt like a friend more than my stylist - which is a big component of a wedding day: keeping drama away from the bride! Another aspect about Jennie I loved was that she is totally honest, no b.s. She knows what will work for you for your complete look and will not steer you wrong. Jennie also wants your hair and skin are at their healthiest, so she made sure to help me prep myself as best I could for my wedding. She also killed it with my mom and maid of honor. We all looked incredible. Jennie, thank you for making me look like an absolute stunner on my wedding day!!!

I met Jenny in July for my hair and make up trial, and it was absolutely wonderful meeting her and the rest of the team in advance to see what would look best on the day of the wedding! Working with Jenny felt like hanging out with a close friend, I loved how personable she was and I loved chatting with her about whatever came to mind :) She is very intuitive on how people feel around her while she is working. On my wedding day I had a case of the jitters and she immediately picked up on it and helped distract me. Besides her glowing personality, is her glowing talent. She is a true artist through and through, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and the rest of the Jenny Kay team. Thank you for making me feel absolutely stunning on my wedding day, you are truly the best!

She really did an amazing job, working with hair extensions as well, and my curls held all night long! flattering up-do. Despite wanting a higher bun, she explained why a lower bun worked better with the way my hair fell. Similarly, I initially wanted heavier eye makeup, and she pointed out that I have deep set eyes and would look my best with less eye makeup. She was right! I really appreciated that she took the time to think about what would truly look best and flatter me the most, even if it differed from any photos or ideas I previously had. She was also very helpful regarding input on jewelry for the neckline of the dress. 2. Jennie was such a happy and calming presence on the day of the wedding. She took great care with both the hair and makeup, and stayed with me through dinner time, not only touching me up, but was always there to hold my bouquet or offer a glass of water during photographs. Her kindness and enthusiasm were so hugely appreciated and I could not possibly recommend her more. Any bride would be lucky to have her! Thank you Jennie!!

gestions for places to order coffee/lunch in the area for my bridal party. Shelby did my hair and make-up and absolutely exceeded my expectations. On the day of my wedding there were a few things that I wanted done differently with my hair and make-up. All I had to do was describe it to her and on the first try it was perfect. I looked at wedding hair styles for a long time and never really found a picture that I loved, but she managed to make my hair look better than I could have even imagined. My make-up was perfect as well- exactly what I envisioned. I looked like myself, but the best version of myself that I could have hoped for! All of my bridesmaids and my mom were so happy with their hair and make-up, and did they ever look BEAUTIFUL!!! My flower girl's hair was even done perfectly! On the morning of the wedding all of the stylists came and then followed the schedule to a tee (we were done right on time- when does that ever happen?!), but they were never rushed and gave everyone the time and attention they needed. The team at Jennie Kay is really exceptional and I am so glad that we had them for our wedding!!

was perfectly placed. She also did an amazing job with airbrush makeup. Usually I end up finding something to tweak a little with my hair and makeup, but I was an awe with Jennie's work. My bridesmaids also loved all their hairstyles, and my aunt loved her and Erica's work so much we were able to squeeze her in for hair and makeup too. She also has a little salon in Middletown, which worked out great since it would have been too cramped to all get ready at the hotel. I couldn't have been happier with choosing Jennie, and I would highly recommend her to any bride!

ear much makeup, so for her to be able to put on fake eyelashes and have me not freak out is pretty amazing in and of itself. The airbrush makeup she did lasted all day and night (~12 hours from application 'til the end of our reception on a humid, rainy day and everything but my lip gloss was still going strong), and she did just as fantastic a job on my bridesmaids' and mom's makeup as she did on mine. Jennie Kay took everyone's individual style and preferences into account, and she even styled my mom's short, curly hair to her liking (again, on a humid day)! Jennie Kay's not cheap, but her prices are really reasonable for professional makeup/hair styling. I never pay for stuff like that, but on my wedding day, I figured I could splurge, and I'm so, so glad I did. Jennie Kay was extremely professional and accommodating--despite just having had a baby she was still quite responsive to my emails! She was also fun to be around the morning of my wedding, could not have asked for a better experience!

l on all the girls and everyone looked great in pictures. Jennie even had my photographer take a few pictures of me before she finished touching me up so she could see what it looked like on camera. I have very dark circles under my eyes that always show up and they aren't even noticeable in most of the pictures. I couldn't have been happier!
