Jennifer Costello Wedding Officiant

It was important for us to be able to bring in my Japanese culture into our wedding. There is a Japanese binding ritual called sansankudo that we wanted to incorporate, but we didn’t know how to do this. When we came across Jenn Costello Officiants’ website, we immediately loved how Jenn got started as an officiant (incorporating Catholic and Buddhist beliefs for her friend’s ceremony) and knew she would be the right person for what we were looking to do. When we met over Zoom for our initial consultation, Jenn’s professionalism, openness, and willingness to learn more about sansankudo and determination to figure out how to incorporate this in a way that worked for us and our families made us feel at ease and confident to trust her. We met with her in-person two months before our wedding day to go over her draft, and it allowed both of us to be able to ask clarifying questions, as well as give more details and insight on things we wanted written into our ceremony. Jenn was extremely responsive with her emails which was always reassuring! Her draft and template was very easy for us to work on and customize, it was crazy to think we had no clue where or how to start before we met Jenn! Jenn worked with us on our writing and ceremony structure, and Bri was our actual officiant for our wedding day. While we did not get to meet prior to our wedding, Jenn’s confidence in Bri (and her entire team) reassured us, and Bri also called me a few days prior to go over everything on our final draft (including how to pronounce my name and all other Japanese words, which I REALLY appreciated!!). Bri was extremely friendly and easy to talk to over the phone, and through that phone call, I really knew I had nothing to worry about! She also reassured me that it was not silly of me to ask whether she would move out of the way before our first kiss – knowing that she totally understood my fear of officiants unintentionally photobombing this moment was incredible! Thank you Jenn and Bri for allowing our ceremony to be personalized and run so smoothly!!

Jenn was amazing to work with. She customized our ceremony to be exactly what we wanted. She answered all of our questions and even included our fur babies into the ceremony! We wanted a few readings and she provided great options to pick from. We would highly recommend her for anyone looking for an officiant!

We worked with Jenn for our initial consultation and Tara for our actual ceremony and had an AMAZING experience from start to finish. Tara took charge during rehearsal and wedding day with guidance on pairings and order on who to walk at what time, as well as some last minute advice on where to stand (much appreciated, made our photos look SO much better!). I would have been lost having to figure that out on my own! Tara made the ceremony itself a blast, even including ceremony shots!! We are so very happy to have worked with both Jenn and Tara!
