edding gift we received. Once Angela came into the picture I knew that she would make sure we had all of our ducks in a row ahead of the wedding. She stepped in to help with outstanding items from vendors and worked with our venue to ensure everything went smoothly on our wedding day. She even found us a videographer a month out from the wedding and helped us with a lot of the little details that made it a beautiful day. She went above and beyond for us and I could really feel that she wanted us to have the perfect day. Angela kept everyone on track and was my go to on our wedding day - literally anytime I needed anything it’s like she could sense it and was always right there to help. the fence about hiring a wedding planner, but if I was getting married again (don't plan to!) Jen would be my first call. She gave us guidance on what to spend for and where to cut budget, and helped us find amazing vendors in our price range.
Every wedding budget is different, and we've seen Jen deliver stunning weddings all along the spectrum between our own and others that we've attended. We never got any less than Jen's best despite being a more budget conscious wedding.
Jen is an excellent communicator. We were always clear on what needed to be done, by whom, and when. Whenever we were late on our responsibilities (often), she was quick with a reminder. Always had answers for our questions, and easy to get on a call if we felt overwhelmed.
Last but not least, Jen is a stone cold killer on the day of. If there were any issues at our wedding, I will never know because Jen and her team handled everything.
She's an absolute pro, and it really showed in the little details. We got a solo first look at our reception before our guests came in, she had drinks ready for us after our ceremony, and everything ran on time. She made sure we got a moment together after our ceremony to decompress, and sit in the emotions and memories just the two of us. Yes, she did bring a tool belt and full tool kit to the venue.

typical wedding. We just like to party and listen to live music. From the first time meeting Jennifer in our planning process, we could sense her kindness, thorough nature, and laid back approach to newly engaged couples. She took the time to dive into exactly what we wanted for the day and what we didn't. She checked in regularly during the planning process and I knew if I needed help that she would get right back to me. Then enters Angela as our coordinator as we finalize and get ready for the day. She might be the best coordinator in the entire state. She dealt with my indecision and lack of answers with grace and always gave me such great advice when I asked. Then she executed the day like a dream. She was always keeping track of us (and our things!) as well mingled and made sure we had everything we needed. She made sure we always had a drink and a water. She was thorough while working with vendors and made sure everything was in order. Her assistant Jonathan was also so kind and helpful all day long. It was the best day of our lives of which we will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives, and this is all thanks to Jennifer, Angela, and Jonathan for making it go so smoothly! From the moment Tucker and I got engaged, we knew we needed someone calm, capable, and creative to help bring our wedding...
vision (or lack thereof!) to life — and we found that and so much more in Jennifer. For over a year, she made us feel like we were her only clients. Our wedding felt as important to her as it did to us, and her care and dedication never wavered.
We gave Jennifer almost no creative direction, and she still managed to guide us to decisions we genuinely loved. She has this rare ability to take your values and personalities — even when you can't articulate them — and transform them into a beautiful, seamless event. We asked her to keep us out of the weeds with vendor emails and logistics, and she handled every single detail with such grace and strength that we truly had a stress-free planning process (which feels unheard of!).
Jennifer held us accountable without ever making us feel stressed. She walked us through every tiny detail — registry, beauty team, timelines — and always with warmth, humor, and unwavering precision. Her amazing assistant Darcy even became my personal shadow all weekend, making sure I was exactly where I needed to be, with zero stress on my end.
The true magic of Jennifer’s work is that Tucker and I got to be totally blissful, not just on the wedding day, but throughout the entire engagement. We know there were countless fires to put out, last-minute changes, and intense behind-the-scenes work — but we never felt any of it. She created space for us to just be present and happy.
Jennifer takes no nonsense, fiercely protects your vision, and will absolutely go to bat for your perfect day. She's the most effective communicator — clear, concise, and never wasting a moment. She played mediator among all decision-makers, ran point on everything we didn't want to touch, and adapted instantly to our personalities, communication styles, and preferences. We both work full time and wanted to enjoy being engaged — Jennifer made that dream a reality. We are certain she saved us years off our lives.
Her creativity is jaw-dropping, her work ethic unmatched, and her problem-solving skills superhuman. We didn’t see her sit for three days straight, and yet somehow we never saw a single issue.
Jennifer even preserved all our beautiful details — from invites and menus to stamps and name cards — and gifted us a stunning, personal wedding memento. It was the perfect cherry on top of everything she had already done.
Since the wedding, we’ve genuinely missed our regular check-ins with her. She feels like part of our family now — and if I could do it all again, I might try to make her a bridesmaid (though I don’t think she’d accept!).

a friend from the very first time we met! I was the typical stressed out bride but Darcy quickly eased my mind. She was so professional but also very easy-going and fun to be around. o we met with Jennifer almost 2 years. She was there every step of the way. It was so nice to have her input in vendors, as she has worked with them before, she knew who to recommend. I have no complaints about any of the vendors she recommended! I am a very indecisive person and she made making decisions a lot easier for me. Whether I was jumping ahead or running late on certain checklist items, Jennifer always calmed my nerves and (kindly) coached us to stay on track with planning. On the day of the wedding, Jennifer and Darcy kept everyone in line from the vendors to the wedding party. I particularly enjoyed how my husband, our bridal party, and I did not have to do anything to set up or clean up wedding decorations. While this is partially due to our great vendors and venue staff, Jennifer and Darcy made sure everything was packed away and I knew where all of my wedding items were at the end of the night. ed I was pretty convinced we could handle the planning ourselves, even knowing we were getting married in another state. That confidence quickly turned to complete panic once we realized how much actually goes into planning a wedding. We actually learned about StR events through a good friend who highly recommended Jennifer. We went ahead and reached out and had a great intro conversation with Jennifer, and that panic was quickly replaced with a peace of mind that we were in good hands-- and were we ever.
The best way I can describe the wedding planning process with Jennifer is that she oftentimes could read my mind and put together the words that were just thoughts in my head. That's to say, with every vendor we met with, she knew all of the right questions to ask and would help me answer the ones that I got stuck on. Speaking of vendors, all of the vendors that Jennifer recommended to us were absolutely incredible.
As for the day of, this is where Jennifer and the StR team really shined. Our wedding day was actually stress-free for me, the bride. Crazy, right? Well, when you have people working to keep everyone on schedule, dealing with last-minute adjustments, and helping get the vendors what they need, it truly takes a lot of the wedding-day stress off of you.

She had a magical Mary poppins bag full of things I didn’t even know we might need that day (that we DID need): shout wipes, tissues, safety pins, fashion tape, umbrellas. I’m pretty sure if you needed some wedding vows, CBD gummies, an electrolyte pack, or an emergency cell phone charger, she probably had it in there too.
Aisle planner was another perk of using StR events. I was able to make my reception & ceremony plan A & plan B layouts for Darcy to see where everything from the vendors would go for setup. Definitely take advantage of this tool, it tracks your to-dos, budgets, vendors, layouts, & rsvps.
She gave us 110% and didn’t break a sweat when one of our vendors showed up 3 hours late to set up. She gave us the best vendor recommendations (we LOVED them all so much), helped us manage our priorities, remember details, and kept us on track every step of the way.
At first, I tried to be the "cool bride" who didn't sweat the small stuff - in reality, I'm a worrier and probably a bit of a control freak :) BUT Jennifer's easy demeanor, industry knowledge, vendor connections, and organizational skills made it easy for me just to sit back and enjoy the process without stressing. I totally trusted her to bring it all together - and she absolutely exceeded all expectations.
We frequently bombarded her with questions, and she was always quick to answer. Despite having lots of unique requests for the wedding, I don't think we ever heard the word "no" from Jennifer. She was always able to make it happen!
Our family and friends are a rowdy bunch, but Jennifer was able to keep them organized and stress-free, too. Which we just so appreciate.

started working with her about a year ahead of the wedding and she assisted every step of the way – working with vendors, managing our priorities, remembering small details we hadn’t considered, and designing our venue space. We planned our Columbus wedding from afar (New York) and Jennifer had amazing recommendations and managed most of our vendor communications. She also designed the space with the florist, and it was MAGICAL. We couldn’t have come up with a better vision, and we still get so many compliments on the décor from our guests. The room was beautiful, vibrant, and personal.
The day-of, I worried about nothing thanks to Jennifer and Darcy (and I’m a worrier)! Everything ran perfectly – the bridal party and parents knew where to go, every piece of the day was on time, and no detail was forgotten (cake toppers, personalized napkins, s’mores, etc.). Also, Jennifer and Darcy organized all our personal belongings for us to collect the next day (stationary, champagne glasses, etc.) – no small task.
We’re not overexaggerating when we say we don’t know how we would have pulled off our dream wedding without Jennifer. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her! It was so nice not having to worry about a single thing on our actual wedding day. Another reason why I loved working with Jennifer is because she herself was the point person and planner from the second we started working together. She got to know us very well, our personalities, and what we wanted for our wedding–it felt very personal which is an amazing feeling to have on such an important day. She made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, at the time they were supposed to be there. It took all of the stress out of the day and left us with nothing to do but to enjoy the wonderful event that she helped us to create. ces we needed before we even did. We ended up having a design meeting with her and then the month of service. This was perfect for us. We knew design elements that we liked and some that we didn’t, but Jennifer took all of that and created a cohesive and detailed plan. This was invaluable. It helped us get our planning off to a good start, avoid many common mistakes, and made it easier to talk to vendors. Our florist even mentioned how organized we were and how good Jennifer is at design.
During the month of the wedding, Jennifer took over coordination and made sure every last detail had been considered. Many of those important details we would have never considered without her. She also built our timeline and communicated with all the vendors.
On the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly because she was there to help the vendors set up. She was ready for any possible situation. She even sewed my maid of honor into her dress that was too big! It was so reassuring to have her guiding us to the next thing throughout the wedding and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. In addition to being incredibly competent, she was also friendly and made planning fun.
When we started planning a wedding, we read so many reviews that said “a wedding planner is the best investment you can make for your wedding” and this is 100% true. But more specifically, we would say StR Events is the best investment you can make for your wedding.

organizing everything we had to do.. it all went so smooth. EVEN when, 3 weeks before the wedding... we added a bunch of things that we had not planned on yet. We managed to double our flowers, add valet parking, add this add that... I thought surely she is not going to be able to make it happen but she did!
I am not even kidding.. when I say we added things at the last minute... we added lots of things and all got done. I would highly recommend Jennifer to plan any wedding in the future for my friends or family.

COVID, and I'm not sure I would have been able to make it through all the changes without her help. The best thing about her is that she ALWAYS, ALWAYS answered my texts, emails and phone calls promptly and calmly even when I was freaking out! She also makes really good vendor recommendations - I am really into stationary, so I was pretty particular about the look of our invitation suite and other printing, and I LOVED the print vendor she connected me with. We had 4 small children in our wedding who came in from out of town, and she even helped us find a babysitter for them, so their parents (who were all in the wedding party) were able to enjoy getting ready with me and my husband stress-free. On the day of our wedding, everything ran so smoothly, and I knew she was working hard behind the scenes to make all of that happen. My husband also commented that she was like "a ninja" during the reception - no matter where we were she always managed to find us and make sure we had a drink in our hands! Finally, another thing I appreciated was the CRM that she uses to track RSVPs and seating. I can't even imagine doing that on paper or keeping my own spreadsheet to manage all of that! I would definitely recommend Jennifer and StR to any Columbus couples planning a wedding. Because of these two my wife and I were able to enjoy our wedding to its fullest without ever needing to worry about a single thing. rocess. Planning a wedding is very difficult by itself and planning one during a pandemic was incredibly stressful, and Jen made it SO much easier. Ever since we hired her in late 2019, she was always on top of each stage of the wedding planning process, checking in consistently to make sure we were on track (despite the total uncertainty with COVID). We didn't even hire her for the "full service wedding planning" and yet it felt extremely cohesive and caring. Jen is also extremely well connected in the wedding world of Columbus and had amazing yet objective feedback regarding each of the vendors that we chose. She reviewed every contract carefully and was always quick to callout any concerning areas or clauses (extremely important while planning a pandemic wedding) and ended up saving us a lot of money with her diligent eye. My husband wasn't originally sure we "really needed" a wedding planner and after the wedding, he completely agreed that STR was the best vendor we had. They were able to handle all of the last minute details that we certainly would have forgotten about. They also handled all vendor communication effectively and efficiently so that the day of the wedding went smoothly and comfortably. Throughout the day of our wedding, Jen continually checked in on me and my wellbeing, offering a reassuring smile and often a glass of champagne. I truly cannot recommend Jen and her team enough.
