Jennifer was absolutely amazing on my big day! She traveled to my hotel room and did all make-up for the bridesmaids, my mom, and myself. I knew from our first contact she was fabulous. She was very responsive and so kind over all email communication. We had our consultation pre-wedding which was great! she helped me bring my inspiration photos to life and made my vision work for me! She was so pleasant and upbeat, I knew she was a perfect fit! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and was beyond thrilled with the final outcome! She offered both airbrush and freehand which was great as some of my group wanted freehand vs. airbrushing. I would definitely suggest Jennifer to any bride and hope I have another opportunity to use her services. She is the best!

Every little girl dreams of her wedding day: the dress she will walk down the aisle in, her ring, and of course the man she'll spend the rest of her life with. What we don't think about when we imagine our wedding day is who we will trust with the formidable task of making us look - and feel, beautiful on one of the most important days of our life. After becoming engaged, I wasted no time throwing myself into wedding planning, and I knew that choosing a hair and make-up artist would be one of the most important decisions that I would have to make. After seeing some of Jennifer's previous work in The Knot, shopping around for the best value, and reading her glowing reviews, I knew that I had to experience her work first-hand. I knew upon meeting Jennifer that she was something special. Finding the right hair and make-up artist is about so much more than finding someone who can achieve that updo and perfect bridal look, it's about finding someone who shares your vision and will help make your big day even more special. Jennifer made me feel instantly comfortable - her genuine demeanor and warm charm make you feel welcome and understood, and she goes above and beyond to ensure that you are being provided with the best service possible. At our consultation meeting she did a run-through of the look I was hoping to achieve, and I can tell you that it surpassed anything that I ever dreamed of as a little girl. I knew that I had to book her, and I was not disappointed. My big day went beautifully, and Jennifer definitely helped put me at ease with her quick wit and caring personality. Simply put, Jennifer Ericksen is the best in Charlotte - both for value, quality of service provided, and as a person. Truly the full package.

If you are willing to spend for hair and makeup then don't question it- Jennifer delivers. She is confident in what she does which helps a bride! I went for the trial for peace of mind and its a waste of money because there is no need for a trial. You can rest assured she will be prepared for you without ever meeting you, although if it helps then go for it. She only did my hair, held up all night and I danced hard and hadn't stayed up until 5am. Good hands!!!!! Trust her, and trust me because I'm a nit-picker

Jennifer and I initially met a few months before my wedding to do a "trial run" and beautify me for an engagement party. I was so thrilled with my hair and makeup that I booked her for my wedding on the spot. She ended up doing my hair and makeup and all of the makeup for my bridesmaids and my mother. Her style and techniques are top notch and she had us all glowing on a chilly March day. Thanks again for making us all feel so beautiful!

Jennifer was recommended to me, and I was more than pleased with the results! I gave Jennifer the task of hair and makeup for not only myself (the bride), but also for my mother and sister who both never wear makeup, had no idea how they wanted their hair styled, and have thigh length hair. A pretty daunting task in my book...but she pulled it off flawlessly, and as a result we had three absolutely stunning girls. Jennifer takes the time to consult with you before the wedding to find out what your style is, what you need, and coordinates with you and your photographer to make sure that she fits into your schedule. She also comes to your venue, so all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the pampering. I most definitely recommend her for any bride to be!

Trying to put all the pieces in place to get "wedding ready" from out of state was seeming like a daunting task. I read the Knot reviews about Jennifer Ericksen, contacted her, and immediately had a sense of peace that I had found the right person to help us. I have challenges finding the right makeup for every day use; the thought of doing my own wedding makeup for our son's wedding overwhelmed me. Jennifer was a true Godsend. She listened to us as individuals and made me, my daughter and my sisters in law look our very best. Our time getting ready was so relaxed and fun. Jennifer's skill and easy going personality helped to create great pre-wedding memories. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Hire Jennifer and take one major concern off of your plate. Her expertise is rare indeed and you will be thrilled to have her create your own perfect wedding look.

Jennifer did my hair and makeup (airbrush) for my bridal portraits and will be doing the makeup and hair for myself and the bridal party for my wedding in May. I saw her work in Southern Weddings Magazine and contacted her. She is reasonably priced considering her incredible work. I do not normally wear much makeup and am often hesitant to have my makeup done. She did an incredible job and put me at ease throughout the process. It was my first experience with airbrush and I loved how it turned out. She was able to create the exact look I was going for and it translated to the bridal pictures perfectly. Thanks Jennifer!

Jennifer was a blessing to work with during our wedding process. She was accommodating, professional, friendly, and very talented! Jennifer responded quickly to my emails and took the time to understand my wedding day vision! I can't explain how thrilled I was with the outcome of my hair and airbrush makeup at my bridal portraits and wedding! I have problem skin and Jennifer made me feel flawless! Jennifer took the time to ask questions and made sure I was more than happy with the outcome before my event! On our wedding day Jennifer did 6 bridesmaid's hair, Mother of the Bride hair and makeup, Mother of the Groom hair, and my airbrush makeup and hair with ease. She made the process seamless and relaxed, so we could enjoy our time together. Jennifer listened to everyone and everyone was THRILLED with their results! I had a wonderful experience with Jennifer!!! We talked a lot before my wedding about what I wanted to look like the day of. I did not do a trial, and I must say, I did not need one!! Jennifer did an AMAZING job on my hair and airbrush makeup. I showed her a picture of a hair style that I liked and she did it exactly. I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup. Jennifer managed to do my hair and makeup, and all 6 of my bridesmaids hair in a short period of time. She was very professional and very fun to work with!

Jennifer does phenomenal work. She was able to take a few pictures and a short discussion and turn me into exactly what I wanted to look like for my wedding day! I love that she is able to do both hair and makeup, as we arranged for her to do the hair of the bridal party and my hair and makeup. The quality of work was perfection! Everyone's hair looked just as they requested, and lasted through the evening (with rain & dancing)! My flawless makeup also sustained the event. Jenn- thanks so much!!!!!!!

Jen did the hair and makeup for my daughter, her sister, and me (MOB) for the wedding. She also did updos for 7 other bridesmaids. She was very easy to work with and had such a positive and calm spirit. When my daughter went for her trial run, she wasn't sure if she wanted to do her hair up or down. Jen patiently tried several styles until Emily had just the right look. She did a wonderful job of really listening to all of us! The bride looked incredible on her wedding day and we could not have been happier with Jen's services!

Jennifer is such a pleasure to work with. Jennifer and I met a few months before the wedding for our consultation. She took down my ideas and made them even more amazing than I had envisioned. We had our trial run the day of my bridal portraits and it was a fairly windy day. Jennifer made sure that every strand of my hair would stay in place and my makeup looked flawless. Our wedding was on May 18, 2013 and it was a rainy day and an outside wedding. She went the extra mile to make sure my hair looked amazing and exactly how I wanted it. At the end of the evening my makeup still looked the same as it did when she applied it. She definitely made me look and feel like a beautiful princess on the most important day of my life. I would definitely recommend Jennifer- she came to my house and did my hair and makeup as well as the hair and makeup of most of my bridesmaids and the mothers and it was such a fun morning. My hair and makeup turned out perfect and I felt beautiful walking down the aisle!

Jennifer was positive and her mood was light - exactly what you want as a bride (particularly when your step daughter decides she wants her hair completely redone). People called my hair art - it was truly lovely. Jennifer captured my vision perfectly and at the end of the evening, after all the festivities, my loose, romantic hairstyle (tricky to stay in place) still looked like it had just been done!

I got married November 4th, 2012 and had Jennifer do my hair and makeup, my mother's hair and makeup, and 6 bridesmaids hair OR makeup (their choice). I was curious if she could really do that all by herself and stay on schedule but she absolutely did! Everybody looked beautiful and she was able to execute whatever look they asked for flawlessly. I was amazed at how my bridesmaids could show her a picture of a seemingly intricate hairstyle they wanted and she'd duplicate it easily in less than 30 minutes (and make it look even better than in the picture)! She was professional from beginning to end and was very accommodating. She even came out to where we were taking photos to touch up my hair and makeup one last time before she left- a definite plus!! I had 2 trials with Jennifer for my own hair/makeup before my wedding day and definitely recommend doing a trial. She spent so much time with me trying different styles to find the perfect one for my big day and making sure it was exactly what I wanted/envisioned. I told her I wanted my hair and makeup to be very natural and romantic and she definitely delivered! I felt beautiful but not overdone- and it lasted all day and night! I can't recommend Jennifer highly enough. She was great to work with and extremely talented. She made sure the day ran smoothly and had everybody looking simply gorgeous. She is worth every penny!

Jennifer did an incredible job on my hair and make up trial. I was planning my wedding from a distance and picked Jennifer off of theknot.com. I was definitely a little nervous thinking that I didn't even know who she was. However, it went better than I even imagined! She spent time going over the day of the wedding, when we would need to get ready, what time she would need to arrive, etc. She paid attention to what I asked for and gave me options. She was extremely patient with me and my family and was super nice. I would definitely recommend Jennifer to anyone. I would also recommend going for a trial run. Even though mine turned out amazing, it's a great way to get excited about the big day. It eliminates a lot of the stress about your hair / make up and allows you to really see what you will look like on your big day. I will definitely give another review come January, after my big day. Can't wait to see what Jennifer does!

I am so glad that I chose Jennifer to do my hair and make-up for our wedding. I wanted the make-up to look natural and she did exactly that. I met up with her a few months before the wedding to do a trial run of the make-up and hair and she listened to exactly what I wanted. Once the wedding day came, everything looked perfect. She is so nice and so much fun to work with. She calmed me down while I was getting ready and had a blast with her. Everyone loved the way my hair was styled, it was exactly what I wanted. One of my bridesmaids loved her make-up so much that she called Jennifer to see what kind of make-up they used on her :) Overall, I had a great experience with Jennifer. She has a great personality and is very talented. I would use her again if I had a big event coming up.

Jennifer is extremely talented, manages her time well, and has a great personality for this job! She did my hair and makeup for both my bridal portraits and my wedding day. My hair and makeup for the portraits was also my trial run for the big day. I brought two ideas, but the one I liked best worked so well the first time that we didn't even try the second. Jennifer was great about listening to what I wanted and asking my opinion when she was done. I felt so much better about the wedding day knowing exactly what my hair and makeup would look like and knowing I loved it! On the wedding day, my two sisters, my sister-in-law and my mom all had Jennifer do their hair, and one of my sisters had her makeup done as well. I was a little worried I would be stressed about the time with only one person doing all of these things before getting to my hair and makeup, but Jennifer got it all done effortlessly - even a little bit ahead of schedule! She was very comfortable to work with and lightened the nervous mood we were all feeling. Nine hours and a lot of dancing later when I was ready to take my hair down, it still looked perfect! I expected Jennifer to be very professional and knowledgeable based on the past work I knew she had done, and that is exactly the experience I had with her. I would highly recommend her work to any bride!

Jennifer did my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures and for my wedding. She did an absoultely amazing job! I felt so pretty and got so many compliments. My bridesmaids also had their hair or makeup done on the wedding day, so Jennifer had a lot of work to do in a short amount of time. Not only did she make us all look and feel gorgeous but she also stayed on schedule and finished on time. She is also a very sweet person and I was glad to have her with me on my big day!

Jennifer is wonderful! She did my hair and make-up for my wedding day. She was highly recommended to me by my photographer which carried a lot of weight with me. I first met Jennifer for my hair & make-up trial. She listened carefully to what types of looks I was 'going for' and was able to create them! I wanted very soft, romantic hair for the wedding. Jen had the wonderful idea of putting tiny, fresh, flowers in my up-do. I worked with my florist to find the right flowers and Jen worked her magic with them for my bridal portrait and wedding day. This is something I never would have thought of but the flowers were a completely perfect complement to the whole look. I also love how she listed to what I wanted in my make-up - it was soft and natural and looked beautiful even after dancing on a HOT dancefloor all night. Jen is professional, punctual and fun to work with! I would recommend her to everyone.

Jennifer was amazing!! She traveled all the way out to my location and did 10 ladies for hair and my hair and make-up (bride). Everyone's hair looked awesome and I was so impressed with how quickly she was able to work, in addition to understanding what everyone was wanting done with their hair. My hair and make-up looked awesome and I couldn't imagine a more perfect look for my wedding day! I highly recommend her for hair and makeup, you surely will be just as impressed and happy as I! :)

I completed my hair/make up trial with Jennifer this past weekend. The experience was so wonderful, and now I know I will look my best at my upcoming wedding! I showed her some pictures of hairstyles I liked, and she expertly duplicated the look! I do not wear a lot of make up regularly, so really wanted a natural, fresh look with my wedding day makeup. Again, she listened to my request and the finished product was just what I had in mind. My wedding day can not come soon enough! Also, I am very pleased with the cost of her services, find them to be extremly reasonalbe. Especially considering her talent and expertise! I would recomment Jennifer to any bride.

Jennifer was amazing to work with. I showed up for the run-through with my mom and best friend, not having a clue what I wanted for my wedding day. Jennifer was patient and extremely helpful in finding something that was absolutely beautiful yet always taking note of my preferences. She then duplicated it on the day of the wedding and I was so thankful for all she did. I was worried about having only one person do the hair and makeup for myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, six bridesmaids, and the flower girl yet she accomplished it all without missing a beat. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful and I received so many comments on everyone's look. She was professional and meticulous in her work yet her relaxed demeanor was very welcomed on the wedding day. My wedding took place in a remote area in the mountains of North Carolina, and so I needed a hair stylist and makeup artist that was willing to go on-location. I was so grateful that Jennifer was willing to travel to my wedding site. She did my hair and makeup (the bride), and my mom's hair and makeup for the wedding, and the hair for all the bridesmaids. I thought my bridesmaids' hair all looked wonderful, and they all told me that they liked Jennifer a lot and were pleased with their looks. My mom looked amazing - I had never seen her look so beautiful. Jennifer also did a spectacular job on my own hair and makeup. I wanted a subtle change in my hair from the trial run and she patiently listened to me and then executed the change perfectly. She has a great talent for listening to what people want, and then carrying it out beautifully. She also is skilled at remaining calm and putting everyone else at ease during a potentially stressful time. I would recommend Jennifer to any bride without reservation.
