ment shoot in Malibu and had the pleasure of working with both she and her father on our wedding day in Pasadena in July. Jen is extremely prepared, has shot in many beautiful locations all over Los Angeles, and knows exactly how to create those engagement/wedding shots that will last a lifetime. We appreciated how patient Jen was with us and during our first attempt at our engagement shoot, the weather did not cooperate. Instead of taking the chance of shooting on a day that may not have turned out that well, she gratefully and willingly offered to reschedule to ensure we shot on a much more favorable day. That day/evening of engagement photos was such a fun experience. Both my wife and I were a little nervous leaving the house that day, but Jen did such a great job of breaking us out of our shells and making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. The photos speak for themselves! Our wedding day photos she and her father captured were an extension of the quality work she did with our engagement photos. She and her father captured our whirlwind of a day in such beautiful detail and had us laughing and smiling as they did it. We have sat down with our photos on numerous occasions with various friends and family after our wedding and it never gets old. Thank you so, so much Jen. You are the absolute best!

hotos, we also thought it would be a good idea to take engagement photos as a warmup. As neither of us are particularly comfortable in front a camera, we thought the practice would help. Jen made us feel completely at ease and took absolutely stunning engagement photos, leaving us assured that our wedding photos would be equally amazing. On the day of the wedding, Jen and team were incredibly professional and efficient. They did an incredible job of capturing the spirit of our wedding and making all of our friends and family look great! Jen is responsive, friendly, and fast (we got our wedding photos back within a month!). Morever, Jen has an extraordinary eye for framing photos - after reviewing the wedding photos, I realized that shot after shot featured gorgeous lighting and features of our venue that I hadn't even noticed on our wedding day. If she's available for your wedding, book her ASAP!

ifer Fujikawa. Style: Her photography style is very artistic and romantic, which is exactly what we were hoping for. She also does a great job catching the natural light at its best moments. She also has a strong eye for setting up great shots. During our engagement shoot, we were not familiar with the outdoor location that we chose (think trails/beach) and wasn't sure where we would end up on the trail we chose. Jen did an amazing job navigating despite this fact, and worked quickly so we didn't lose the sunlight. She also got an artistic shot of us standing next to this huge tree, which we loved. :) She has a lot of experience with styled wedding shoots (LOVE THOSE PHOTOS), but she also is stellar at catching the candid, intimate moments! Communication: Our wedding was in San Diego, while we live in the Bay Area so we had to do a lot of long distance planning. Jen was very prompt with all communication and very flexible when we needed to schedule phone conversations. She made it very easy to plan both our engagement photo shoot and wedding day from afar, which helped immensely. She even reached out for our other vendor contact information, so that she could coordinate timing and get the shots that she needed. Overall: Jen's photography packages are comprehensive (with various options!) and we found the perfect package that worked for us and our budget. We opted to have the wedding photo book as well, which we are very excited about. They look amazing with great quality -- and it was one item that many of my married friends wish that they had included in their photography package, so we are glad we chose to get it. We love our photographs and thank Jen so much for making the photography process go so smoothly and stress-free!

at stood out to me. She was very quick to respond (I'm pretty sure she emailed back the same day). She sounded excited and eager to learn more about my wedding photography needs whereas other vendors emailed back auto-responses or were very short and rude. Aside from the photos I saw on her blog, her quick response time, cheerfulness, and ability to answer questions thoughtfully were what won me over. You can tell she genuinely wants to make you happy and that she loves what she does. She sent all the pictures to us within 2-4 weeks, it was lightning quick! I told her what I was looking for and what my budget was and she was very accommodating. We didn't need a photo album so that helped to cut cost, we just wanted someone to shoot pictures on the day of and give us all the raw photos. Whatever your needs, she will work hard to accommodate you to the best of her ability. Although! Her photo books are GORGEOUS and if we had the money, we would have purchased one. I would say you should spring for the books. They are carefully crafted and you can tell she puts her heart into it. For our engagement shoot, a bee flew into her hair. When we tried to get it out of her hair, it flew into my cardigan and stung me! She handled everything calmly and was able to get us back on track despite the incident. I loveddd the overall feel she created with the look of our engagement shoot. It was a very ethereal, whimsical feel. I love the way she used the natural light and greenery around us to create a beautiful backdrop. She provided us with a book of great locations to shoot at, but due to poor planning on our part, we ended up going to a local trail I used to run. This trail is usually nothing but dirt and trees with very little green. By some miracle, the whole trail was lush when we happened to do our e-shoot. What is adorable is that she brings her little Polaroid camera and take a few film photos. She let us have one she took and we treasure it to this day. On the day of, she and a second shooter were there. I read in reviews that her dad is often the second shooter and I was hoping he would be ours, but she had another girl there. Darn! I didn't get to interact much with her, so I can't really comment on her second shooter. The pictures came out with a nice feel that matched our venue and look. We had an all-white wedding with greenery here and there and she was able to tie in the venue and details to make our pictures so beautiful! We ran out of time to make use of the entire venue and I wish we had snapped pictures at certain spots (inside the Heritage Museum house, in a vintage cabana we rented) so make sure you allocate time for photos! She also took lovely candid photos, detail shots, and artsy angle shots that we loved. My only regret is that I didn't have a list of must-have shots to take, I mistakenly assumed that she could read my mind. Make sure you are clear about what you want. I'm still kicking myself not getting a lot of shots I wanted. I highly recommend her. Not only is she talented, but she is so sweet and easy to work with!

trust her with our wedding photos. We booked an engagement session with Jennifer at Laguna Niguel Lake and I couldn’t be happier with the results! My husband is very uncomfortable in front of the camera, but after one session with Jen he realized it’s not so bad. Jennifer was awesome at giving directions and suggestions and really made us feel at ease in front of the camera. My wedding was this past weekend at MOLAA in Long Beach. Jennifer and her second shooter were very professional, prompt, accommodating, creative, and friendly. We took our first look photos at Earl Burns Japanese Garden at CSULB. She already sent us a sneak peak photo and it’s beautiful! I can’t wait to see the rest of the photos! Jennifer’s pricing is such a steal! She joined us for our wedding rehearsal/ dinner and got to know our family and friends. I highly recommend Jennifer Fujikawa Photography to capture any special event!
