Offering everything from event design, creative direction, décor building (and sourcing), floral design and execution, to complete wedding day planning and production. We thrive on creating beautiful, fresh, interesting, and always unique events. We work closely with our clients to create the perfect aesthetic for your wedding. Starting with mood boards and color palettes, moving on to unbelievably detailed design proposals- thinking through even the tiniest of details and taking your concept and turning it into so much more. Being an out of town bride, a wedding planner was a must. While Jennifer seemed like a good option at first , I quickly began to regret my decision. Right away I noticed that she ...
was late to appointments, did not meet deadlines, and did not listen. Her first take on the design presentation was significantly shorter than the example she had sent me, and she presented "a bohemian style" when I had asked for "southern elegance". She redid the presentation, but this was the first of major communication issues that I saw throughout the process.
One of my biggest hang-ups with Jennifer is her lack of humility and being able to take responsibility for her mistakes--especially when they impact such a big day in people's lives. Here are some of the major things that happened day of :
Florals and timeline: I specifically chose a florist that works in the same office, because I thought it would be good for communication and design--but it did not. Day of, Jennifer had not communicated the schedule to the florist to ensure that certain installments were ready for us to take pictures. Furthermore, she worked with the florist on certain installments such as the seating chart and did not inquire about dimensions leading to a bad product.
Photos: The photographer had asked for someone to help coordinate family members/friends during portraits and while Jennifer did respond in an email saying this: "we have never been asked to assist a photographer before, before the ceremony we are all hands on deck getting set up, but if you needed my assistant during the cocktail hour I can certainly add that to my notes if you don't have an assistant/second shooter. " leaving it open for interpretation and never following up with the photographer. While I do very much think that it was the photographer's fault for not having help/resources in place, better communication by Jennifer could have potentially prevented the situation. What most frustrated me about this though, is that during portraits when help was needed--not only was her assistant standing by us while the situation unfolded, not doing anything to help (aka obviously not all hands on deck)--when Jennifer did finally come help she was rude to me and my husband in front of our friends and family, blamed the photographer, and instead of trying to help, told the photographer it was their problem and left. Even if it was their fault, I would hope that a wedding planner could work with all types of people and help solve a crisis on a wedding day rather than just walking away.
Clean-up: One of Jennifer's biggest selling points for us was that she would take care of all of the items after the wedding and deliver them at our convenience later. Unfortunately this did not happen, many items were missing, and my mom had to stay until 2am trying to clean up because Jennifer did not do her job.
Again, these are only a few of the many problems we experienced with Jennifer others involving poor communication with the cake designer, photobooth vendor, etc. What it all boils down to is that she has some issues communicating with other vendors/clients, will not take fault or apologize for her mistakes. So if you are considering booking her, double/triple check everything and make sure all of the vendors are on the same page-- I thought that I did, but unfortunately the coordination at the wedding caused a lot of problems for a wedding day that you will never get back.

team accommodated special needs and requests with grace and ease! Jennifer also did all of the floral design for the wedding - everything was beyond gorgeous. ivery and installations, coordinated everything with the venue, and oversaw each and every detail that made my daughter's wedding perfect! Jennifer also served as our florist and the arrangements, bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres were exactly as planned. She is professional, friendly and extremely organized! We were so thankful to have her in charge, as it allowed both families to completely enjoy this very special time without the stress of overseeing the details. Jennifer is very patient and ensured that she get in contact with all of the vendors for details, confirmation, etc. She had a tentative timeline plan the day after we met for consultation, which made everything so much easier. From the day I spoke to her on the phone and reviewed her portfolio on her website, I knew I had chosen someone with great taste and beautiful style. Jennifer also completely understood my vision and while I had a difficult time putting into words what I was looking for, she knew exactly what I wanted which was demonstrated in the design presentation she put together for me for our wedding. What I appreciated from Jennifer was her willingness to do what needed to be done (ie., pick up and return rental items herself) and to work with my budget. Although Jennifer's typical client had larger budgets than I did, I truly appreciated her ability to work with my budget. While others may have relied on bridesmaids and family members to make design decisions, I relied on Jennifer. Jennifer always gave me her honest opinion and was on point with her recommendations. And she was also always so nice about it! All while running her own business and being a mother. Jennifer also did a great job leading and managing our rehearsal and wedding day. I was also completely STRESS-FREE on the day of our wedding because I could truly put everything into Jennifer's hands and just enjoy the evening. She brought the room together and arranged everything without me having to go over much detail with her. A great example is I requested to rent 18 Louis chairs and she went ahead and selected different more cushy chairs for two of them so that my and my husband's chairs would stand out at the head table. I was pleasantly surprised by this. It just shows how thoughtful she is. She also made sure everything ran on time. Even when my husband and I last minute decided to walk table to table to visit with guests without telling her, she let it happen and made everything work. The months leading up to the wedding can be extremely nerve-wracking because you just don't know how everything is going to look and happen until the day of! I was extremely happy with how perfectly everything looked and went. I got so many compliments of how beautiful everything turned out. Thank you, Jennifer! She has many weddings that get published. hat I anticipated. As expected, some things did go wrong on my wedding team (it’s unavoidable), but JLD made it seamless and resolved all of the issues before they even came to my attention! I met with Jennifer and Lorry before my wedding to go over all of the details, timing, etc. and they really put my at ease and made me feel like I was in good hands. They coordinated with all of my vendors to determine arrival and set up. It was so great not to have to worry about any set up the day of! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a day of coordinator!

illness. JLD was there through it all. We had to change our wedding date for the new venue and Jennifer was no longer available. She said her assistant, Lorry, would be in charge of my wedding. I hadn’t met Lorry but trusted that Jennifer would only leave me in good hands.
Lorry was absolutely amazing and went way above and beyond what I ever expected a month-of coordinator to do! She, along with Jennifer, responded timely to all emails and clarified timing and responsibilities with vendor leading up to the big day. She tailored a timeline based on what we wanted to enjoy most at the wedding. She was there for whatever question, no matter how small.
I can honestly say I had zero stress the day of the wedding. While getting my makeup and hair done, I kept remembering tiny details that I meant to mention to Lorry. I would text her and she already had taken care of everything! She pitched in and helped out without asking. She was on top of things before they even happened. She quickly addressed issues that arose during the wedding and I only learned of those issues after the wedding. My parents, family, and guests even told me how amazing our wedding coordinator was. She was worth every penny and more. She made sure all I had to do was to enjoy our wedding.
Anyone getting married in Houston or Austin area should not hesitate to hire JLD for month of wedding coordination.

h us a daunting one. However, if that were the case then Jennifer certainly didn’t show it. She took the time to understand our preferences for working with her, and to fully understand the intricacies of the wedding we wanted to hold. That understanding allowed her to work on our behalf with vendors in a way that we were comfortable with, and for her to take full control of preparations on Friday and of the wedding itself on Saturday. This isn’t something we could let go of without having full confidence in Jennifer.
On the wedding day itself Jennifer really performed. Her liaison with vendors and understanding of our event allowed us to just enjoy our day, confident that everything was happening around us as it should. When problems came up, she dealt with them. When we had requests, they happened immediately. When we were thirsty, there was someone next to us with a drink before we’d even asked. It was really slick, and very impressive.
Jennifer’s husband Kris was also working the event as part of her team. He was on-hand on both the Friday and Saturday and proved just as invaluable as Jennifer. Clearly they had spent a lot of time upfront in understanding the timing plan for our event and what each of them needed to do, because they worked together seamlessly and tirelessly. Kris helped construct our staging; re-stock our bar, and assisted us with many other things as needed with a really friendly and efficient manner.
In honesty, because we did so much of the planning ourselves up-front we wondered early on whether a planner/coordinator for the day was a little over-indulgent. Having seen Jennifer at work and knowing the stress she took off of us and how well executed our wedding day was, we now know we were totally wrong.

Jennifer worked hard to execute my fantasy wedding and responded fluidly to last minute whims (like a live Longhorn bull photo booth that we thought of 2 weeks away from the wedding). And I always appreciated her weighing in with her opinion.
On the day of the wedding she was lifting hay bales, installing signs and calming my nerves. She was grace under fire, exactly what we needed.
I should also mention that i planned the whole wedding from out of state, and Jennifer was lovely about making that as easy as possible for me, including driving a long way to meet me when I was in town.
Constructive criticism: in retrospect, it would have been really helpful to have had a google calendar or something we could share with deadlines, upcoming events and appointments, and benchmarks indicated when, for example, I should finalize booking etc. She did tell me about these things, but I think it would have helped me to have them in one place, written and able to be updated as we went along.
Final words: nearly every guest (265 of them!) came up and gushed about what a beautiful wedding it was, many of them saying it was the best they had ever attending. Ever detail was lovely and carefully thought out. I could scarcely be happier. Thank you dearly, Jennifer!
